This arena is smaller than typical arenas around the country. With that said, you can closer to the action. This arena host basketball, hockey and concert events. The best part of this arena is location: in heart of downtown. Short walk from hotels downtown. As for refreshments and food: given that the arena is in Utah there are a lot of restrictions on alcohol. The arena does sell plenty of beer but don't expect to get a cocktail, unless you go to the second floor and sit in the corner. You can't take your cocktail out of this area. This means that you won't be able to see the game in person. You would have to watch the TV in the bar. Also remember Utah limits hard alcohol amounts in cocktails. So not worth getting If you do fancy a drink: don't forget your ID. Only one beverage at a time per an ID. Beyond alcohol there are plenty of other drinks....plus plenty of food venues. Nothing fancy.

We've been to so many games and concerts at the Delta Center and we've always had a good experience. But I've learned the hard way not to bring a bag or purse because it's always a whole thing at security so now I just bring the absolute essentials. Last night we went with friends whose work gets them suite tickets and it was SUCH a fun experience. Free food and drinks, comfy seats, and an amazing view of everything. I wish I could experience every event that way!!

Delta center was a fun environment. The house was packed for a Saturday night against the hornets. Although the game didn't pane out well for the home team, the fans stayed strong and cheered through the final whistle. I loved that they support their local teams specifically on this night with the Mammoth and Jazz crossover night. They had entertaining segments with both mascots. Walking around the stadium was a joy too. I loved the kiosks around the stadium that allowed you to skip the lines to order and pay directly in the kiosk. It gave me chances to order and the explore the team store or stadium and then plan my way back to my seat to stop by for my order pick up. Never seen that before at a stadium. Prices were great too. Loved that they offer $2 water and $3 ice cream to give affordable options without feeling like you need to break the bank.

Been coming here since I was a child and I'm glad to see its improvements throughout the years. It's easy to navigate and hosts some of the best concerts and games I've attended! The only downside is parking, which is nearly impossible unless you score a street spot.

Why 3 stars? Because the arena is nice enough, but quite boring overall. --- --- --- I don't have any real overt complaints about the Delta Center, other than it's just pretty non-descript. The concourses probably have the least amount of character I've ever seen at any sporting venue. And there isn't much to the outside of arena either. Once you're in the main bowl, it's kind of like the rest of Utah: modern and clean, but mostly void of anything unique. The video board was a perfectly nice size. The in-game entertainment was typical. The seats were okay. The sightlines were the usual. It was all just kind of "generic NBA arena" up in here. The atmosphere was pretty lacking, but that's probably because my Cavs (very good record) were playing the Jazz (very bad record) and the Jazz were missing a couple of their starters. The first half was close, but the Cavs blew the game open in the third quarter, which ended all hope for the home faithful. I've checked Delta Center off my list (current NBA Arena #9 out of 30), but wouldn't need to ever return unless there were some pretty significant renovations.

First Utah mammoth game and I was not disappointed!! Utah vs Montreal. The entry into the stadium is a fairly smooth process and quicker if you have American Express. Upon going inside there are tons of food/drinks/ice cream stands and merch shops. There are people directing and ushering everyone. Makes it a lot easier to find things. The host are interacting with the crowds in the stands via games and dances. I really enjoyed seeing everyone on the big screen interacting.

Went to a Jazz game. Though The Jazz got some work to do, the arena is great. The Delta center has newer seats, private booths, and decent concessions from local Utah eateries, wasn't far from our seats to the restrooms. For Amex cardholders, you can just grab some drinks and treats without having to wait in line, just tap in your Amex card to get into the Amex store and it'll charge your card as you walk out. Saw a few fans trying to sit in untaken lower bowl seats but ushers are on top of it, don't try your luck. Seats do get checked even if they're empty. You will get caught and asked to move. If you want to sit closer, pay for those seats.

Amazing experience! So much fun and incredibly professional staff. The catering team was awesome, the bday cake was beautiful, like a wedding cake for $157! Sales team attentive and the loft was clean and cozy. Dinner was deeeeeelicious! Fresh and warm. Healthy and filling. Korean bbq ribs with fried rice and cucumber salad! Jazz lost but the game and experience were awesome! Well done Delta Center!

Honestly I love the delta center. I've been for multiple hockey and basketball games as well as concerts here, and they have all been really awesome. I like they have great food options. I almost always go for a jdawg. Superior hot dogs for sure and they Diet Coke brew there is good. Food and drinks are expensive. $6.75 for a soda but at least it was good. I feel like they've really stepped their game up at the delta center to do activities and get fans involved. I love all the lighting that goes with the music. It def adds a fun vibe and keeps the energy going. The employees are all really helpful.

I can check Delta center as NHL arena #10 that I have visited. Arena is very nondescript from the outside. I didn't even realize it was an arena at first when we drove by it. However, the inside is still very nice, even though the arena is 30 + years old. Came here to watch my LA Kings play the Utah hockey club. The arena is originally for basketball, but is still pretty decent place to watch hockey. Sight lines weren't too bad, but you do miss some action along the boards and down the ice with some of the seats. It still feels pretty intimate inside the arena and the Utah fans have really embraced hockey and this new team. All the fans were cool and friendly and several staff members were also cool to me and my friends as they knew we were from out of town. A lot of food options to choose from. If you walk around, there are a couple of concession stands that have cheaper priced items like hot dogs and ice cream for $3 or bottled water for $2. That is a great deal and I have never seen that cheap of food prices at any other arena. You can scan the QR code on signs and order on your phone or use the screens located near the cashiers , which makes it pretty convenient. Arena is also located in a good location. Our hotel was a couple of hundred yards away and we could walk to the arena. There are also numerous restaurants, bars, and breweries nearby. Train station is also near by and it looks like many of the fans take the train to wherever they have to go after leaving the game. Overall, it's a really fun city to visit and catch a game. Nice people, clean arena, newer seats, and cheap prices for many food items. Can't beat that.

Came here for the first time since I was a little kid, and it did not disappoint Watched an NBA cup game and it was great. The facility is super clean and modern and you have the ability to order food from your seats One thing I did not like at all was the way ordering food seems to work if you don't use the app. Seems that at most , if not all the vendors, you are forced to order on a tablet. I went somewhere to get a monster real quick, and despite there being like 5 employees standing around doing nothing, I was forced to submit my order via the tablet. You

First time going to the Delta Center. Had the opportunity to see the Utah Hockey club versus Washington Capitals. Thankfully the Capitals won ( my husband's favorite hockey team). The trax ride in was easy to navigate. When we arrived I had to check my purse because they don't allow purses. Okay...no problem the check in for that was super easy. Getting in and finding our seats was also easy. Not confusing at all. The food was confusing and over priced even for arena food. Hubby got a couple beers and a churro that wasn't bad. We opted to grab a late night bite on the way home after the game. The viewing from our seats wasn't bad at all and to be honest I feel like there isn't a bad seat in the arena. The bathrooms were super clean, in allot of arenas they can be smelly and dirty. Have nothing bad to say. Look forward to our next event.

A fun and exciting place if you're going to watch a hockey game or attending a hockey game or attending or watching Utah Jazz game

Saw The Killers here at a private show as part of the excellent Omniture Summit 2010 in and…read moreobviously enjoyed the special access of the show. Without that influencing my rating too much (a free, private Killers show is obviously a 5 Star rating), the venue stands out on its own pretty well and exceeded my expectations. Pros -Size: this place is huge and has a wide open standing-room area in front of an elevated stage as well as a cat-walk like elevated area that rings the floor. Provides lots of good viewing angles with few obstructions from the stage. The House of Blues comparison is accurate as far as feel, but the venue is far deeper. A little bit bigger than the Fillmore in SF. -Sound: good sound and light production. I heard the Killers loud and clear (and for several hours after) and my mind was blown a few times by swell light effects. Cons -Drinking Situation: this is Utah so I didn't expect a first-rate drinking experience and got about what I expected. I think this place is 18+ most times, so the bars are all on the second floor which created bottle necks and inconvenience if you wanted to be front and center at the stage. To compound that is the Utah alcohol laws that meter out your liquor at 1 oz. pours, wine at 5 oz pours and dumb-down the % in the beer. This also makes for slow service, and at $9 a pop for cocktails you're paying big city prices for kid-table drinks. (Also think about this when ordering anything which rightly should have more than 1 oz of booze in it. A martini in Utah is not a good idea.) All in though, this is more a critique of Utah's drinking regulations and so I can't rightly hold it against The Rail for doing their best in that administrative climate. -Location: it's literally on the wrong side of the tracks. Not sure where the cool going-out areas in SLC are, but Rail did not seem to be near one of them. Most of the city was well East of this location and it took a bit of a special effort to get here.

I like my music venues a little smaller, older, grittier than this. Kind of reminded me of House of…read moreBlues in LA (sorta gimmicky, contrived). But that's not to say this is a terrible location. The sound was decent. The main floor is your basic general admission free-for all, and there were couches, tables in the upstairs, balcony-ish area (wraps all around the venue) that had a lounge-ish feel. Overall, this spot doesn't really take away from the music, but doesn't really add to it either.

I had never been before and really had no idea what to expect. I am pretty sure they play here a lot, but we got to see the Spazmatics and man oh man...I LOVED them so much. They played music that everyone loved and they were great about playing the music. The singer was in key and sounded a lot like the artists. They made the experience so much fun throughout the entire night. The drinks were good. I started with a few Jack and Cokes, Run and Cokes, we took some shots, and I drank some hard cider throughout the night. Really, no complaints about any of it. Everything tasted as it should.
