I want to be as kind as I can to this company, because I don't know exactly all the facts around my experience. but they quoted me for between a 4000 to 8000 dollar job, when the solution was a 50 dollar part. I live in Bluffdale, and I was just looking to do normal yearly maintenance on my A/C unit, I called the company, they answered were friendly and sent a guy out immediately. Good deal, the charge is only 20 bucks for the maintenance. I mention to the guy that this particular A/C unit has been tripping the breaker about once a day. He says he'll look into it. A couple hours later he has taken apart my entire system, let's me know that the compressor must have gone bad and that I will need to replace it, as well as most other parts of my A/C unit, I ask "Well... how much would that cost" "Well the part is about 1500, and then it's a 6 hour job, so it'll run you about 4-6k dollars or so, I can have a guy come out and give you an exact quote, but honestly it's not that much more to get the entire system replaced... that's 8000.." I wait, look into warranty and amazingly, i still have a warranty for the part! Good news! in the mean time I get several other quotes, one shop quotes me half that 4k price, that makes sense, 4000-1500 is about 2000 dollars, the price difference is somewhat small. the price guy arrives, asks a lot of personal questions and then says he'll run my quote, I inform him the good news! I get the part for free! could they get close to the price quoted earlier? Nope, 4000 dollars. well since I have that piece still warrantied, can you show me a breakdown of the prices for labor, parts etc? nope. can you tell me what unit you would install if I went with the 8k version? "honestly they are all the same" Ok, but can I get a price break down? nope. they were vary dismayed when I said I would get some other quotes. He also informed me that this has happened all over this neighborhood So I call another company, guy looks at it, looks at my breaker and says "I think the builder just added the wrong size breaker, and this one is warn down, I can get an electrician friend of mine out here to fix it, but your unit looks perfect". thanks Copper peaks. No fee for the consultation electrician comes over,"that'll be 50 dollars for the part, 150 for the house call" it's been working perfectly fine ever since. I don't know if this is an experience problem, but I do worry that this company has been wrongfully quoting newish home owners full replacements when they are not necessary. I had a bad experience with this company, and cannot recommend them.

Minor issues, all were fixed promptly and with great communication between Titan and our builder. Worked so far with a few ladies in the office, and Cole and Cris. Everyone was great, Cole came out to assess the work that needed to be done. He was nice and helpful each time. Had a concern with my furnace on Christmas Eve, the worst time ever to have anything go wrong with the cold temperatures too. Cris was responsive and pleasant to work with and learn from. Came out and took care of the issues I was having and provided me further information for future items and maintenance. I'll continue to use Titan after the one year warranty is over and through the five year warranty for the furnace. I will gladly pay for labor and parts through this company. So far, that's two crucial interactions for a new home owner and I cannot be more pleased and felt it good to share so others know the good experiences with this company. I still had doubts on my upstairs unit which was struggling to get to its desired temperature. Then the downstairs unit outdoor fan stopped working. I went with Eagar for the diagnosis and they came by same day and diagnosed a common capacitor replacement issue. Replaced capacitor and downstairs unit started working as expected. Great! The technician was also willing to do a quick basic check on my upstairs unit and turns out it was low on refrigerant. 2 lbs and some UV dye/sealant later my upstairs system now can match the set temperature for a change, and I didn't have to break anywhere close to 4 or 5 digit pricing. The pricing seems fair to me. They don't offer those $30 tuneup prices but they also don't beeline to pressuring your into a new HVAC unit either or suggesting services which seem dubious and with exorbitant pricing. Makes it hard to trust. Instead Eagar charges a reasonably regular price but also gives your unit a fair, honest assessment, which ultimately is what I want, with units that are 18 and 12 years old! We had a very old furnace at the time and the new Tempstar was a much needed upgrade. Chris also helped us qualify for the Utah Home Performance Plan, a state run program at the time, that saved us a lot of money on the new furnace. Chris is professional, dependable, and fairly priced. I appreciate that he takes the time to answer all of my many questions and educate me on different options and technology. However, on the scheduled date, when the technicians arrived to assess the property to report back to Brad, I was met with confusion. On Saturday morning, Brad called to inform me that a gas line could not be installed in a specific area. I trusted his expertise and pointed out that I wasn't knowledgeable about these matters. However, he then claimed that I had requested an additional work to the quote, called "line height," which I had never hear of this and don't know what line height is technicians that came out. Suggested this. Never did agreed and didn't even understand. I took a week off work, flew into Utah on Thursday to meet with technicians to do it over. Look on the property. and was prepared to start the job on Monday, but everything fell apart. Brad was not only agitated but also dismissed my legitimate questions and wrongfully accused me of being aggressive when I sought clarification. I made it clear that if he couldn't honor the commitment made, I would find another provider. Despite his promise to call me Monday morning after meeting with his team, he failed to follow through. Frustrated, I reached out at noon and spoke to Ginger, requesting to speak with the owner, Shawn Keith Gillett. She assured me that a manager would call, yet no one returned my call. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I will not recommend Gillett Heating and Air to anyone, and I am determined to share my experience on social media to alert others about their lack of reliability and professionalism. On May 12, 2025, we had a new AC/furnace installed by Gillette Heating & Air for over $9,000 ($11,000 with financing). Since the install, we have experienced ongoing problems with the system freezing up and failing to work reliably. Multiple non-working parts. Multiple service visits were made, and each time we were told the issue was fixed, but the problems continued. We also noticed water leaking in the furnace room. Gillette told us it was condensation from the frozen pipe issue and said it was normal. The water kept increasing, spreading under flooring and into the walls. Concerned, we hired a licensed plumber, who determined it was the AC condensate drain line. He found the line had been left sitting on the floor behind our washer instead of being secured into the drain. This caused significant water damage to our laundry room, bathroom walls, family room flooring, and bathroom vanity. The plumber specifically stated this was due to improper installation of the AC condensate drain line. We have contacted Gillette multiple times. The service manager told us they would not cover the costs of the resulting damage. Despite repeated requests, the owner has not returned our calls. In our opinion, this has been a very poor experience -- both with the installation and with customer service afterward. We are now left with a damaged basement and an AC that still is not working properly.
