Terrible company. I was connected to them through Montway Auto Transport. I paid for guaranteed pickup and received a scheduled delivery date on my bill of lading. Not an estimated delivery date, not an approximate delivery date, a scheduled delivery date. The schedules delivery date is this Thursday, and I found out today that my vehicle will not ship until tomorrow, Wednesday, and will take 5-7 days to arrive. My car has sat on their lot for 6 days without moving, now it will be days late. Just don't use UZ, if your broker assigns them to you, demand another company. read more

I have used UZ to transport my vehicle 5 time. Four times it went well with the exception that I had to pay a taxi to recoup my car delivered 4 miles away with each trip except the last one and same to drop my car off for the return pick ups. On the fifth transportation UZ damaged my car, the pillar was crushed and moonroof visor was crushed and the roof was punctured. I did follow all of their directions and had the repairs done as they approved it by a body shop of their choosing (the bare minimum).)Their last email in May UZ said that they will send the check and they have ghosted me since. I never received the promised reimbursement check in writing despite numerous attempts via the helpful broker recommended by AAA. He is still trying but to no avail so far. I am a grandmother taking care of my grandchildren in the summer out of state and need a car to do that. Renting one is too pricey. read more

This is the most unethical and slimy business I have witnessed first hand. I paid for an expedited transport yet my vehicle showed up 7 days late and the UZ Auto transport had claimed their truck broke down. Additionally the my brand new vehicle showed up with 6 additional miles on it, a deep scratch down to the metal, and drip marks on front fenders that appear to have eaten through the clear coat. At first they claimed the scratch is too small to be considered a claim and now they changed their story that it wasn't there when the truck was delivered. Stay away from these people and Nexus as well. I am now forced to go route of small claims court or pay for the damage and fix myself. read more

Sam then communicated with me regarding the assignment of my driver (Ali). Ali texted and called to confirm each step of the process right up until delivery. Ali was extremely polite and there were no surprises in any aspect of the process. Very Important: unlike many other shipping services, UZ does not subcontract out any portion of the service to 3rd parties. Do not use this company to ship your vehicle. I shipped my vehicle from CA to CO in April and they substantially damaged the underside. I had to fight with the transporter upon delivery to even mark on the BOL that damage was done, even though it was clear in both their photos and mine. Since then, I have been fighting with multiple people in the claims department to get the repairs done. I was told to get a quote from my body shop, which came to just shy of $1300. They refused to cover this and told me the only option was to send the car over an hour away via one of their transporters to be repaired at their shop. This would take several weeks and they would not cover a rental. They would repair the car at their shop and then send it back via transporter. Who would trust someone that just did $1300 in damage to their car to retake possession of it and take it over an hour away, somewhere I wouldn't have access to it, and then keep it for an unknown amount of time??? Not to mention I would have no means of getting around. They are shady and not following legalities outlined in their contracts and insurance. Do not do business with these people. read more

I was a little worried about shipping my car out of state and I didn't directly schedule my shipment through UZ. They were assigned by Direct Connect Auto transportation service. While I was told I would get a 4 hours heads up for my car pickup, it was actually more like 45mins. They did work with me on getting my car picked up at a certain day/time (I had a flight to catch). Just had to call and get it assigned to a specific driver. I was able to pick up the car from their drop lot and everything went really smoothly. This company is just awful. They gave me a window of dropping off my vehicle between 1-8. They were supposed to call me 1 hour before delivery. I never heard from them and couldn't reach anyone. They called the next day with a new time - no explanation of why they didn't show or call the day before. I was told the driver would call 1 hour before. The driver, Mickey Medina, called 20 minutes before arrival. She was incredibly rude, pushy, and rushed. She didn't explain anything to me and was pushing for me to sign for the vehicle. She assured me that I wasn't signing for an inspection because she was so rushed and pushy, I signed. After she left, I realized she had the side mirror on the passenger side pushed in. It's cracked. I was told when I booked that I could pay with a card and then the driver calls 30 minutes away from my house with no advance warning and then tells me I need a cashiers check or cash. I was rushing around trying to get to the bank and he then calls to say meet him because he doesn't want to come down my street. I looked over my car, but in all of this rushing didn't notice until 10 minutes after he pulled away that he had damaged the roof of my car. Now they are of course hard to reach and though I have given pictures of the damage where it is clear that metal has dented my car, it's hard to get in touch with anyone. If you want a transport company that outsources the work and then plays a blame game when things go wrong this is your place. When the driver showed up to pick up the car, he asked for the cashier's check of payment to be changed to him personally - even thought the contract says to have a cashier's check to UZ- I received a text that my vehicle was on its way, and phone #s to contact the drivers. I received one contact # that worked - and that driver gave me an ETA of 2-2:30 on a Sat. Then my vehicle wasn't delivered, - that phone # was no longer answered - after 5 hours of waiting on a Saturday... and I call the office but had no way to reach a live person becusse the office was closed at 2- My car was left at the yard - because no one updated my contract that I cancelled a trip to make sure I would be home to receive the car.... When I got the correct driver's phone # on Sunday morning, he made no apologies for my hours of time waiting and worry that something terrible had happened since I can't reach the driver and the car didn't show up... I talked about a refund for wasted time and he argued that he was paid to deliver a car and he did - and I told him but he DID NOT ON TIME OR TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS and I didn't see that night becusse I could only guess that something terrible had happened. Then he basically told me he had to be on time to the car he was delivering now. I cancelled multiple plans to meet a driver who dropped off the face of the earth, the co-driver blaming the office on the paperwork that I was out of town on Sunday (but even that didn't matter since the car was supposed to arrive Sat) I took an Uber to get the car so I didn't have to cancel more work and plans - and the company made it seem like they did me a favor when he handed me a $50 bill to pay for the Uber. I tried to use UZ Auto Trans to support small business but the company really failed me. For weeks I was in touch with Jason Meyer was my account Manager and assured me that the car would be picked up within my very limited 3 day window (Sat-Sun-Mon). He instructed me that the driver would get in touch 24hr in advance of pickup and provide me with a 2-3 hour window. None of this happened. Once Sat and Sun came and went, I finally got a hold of Jason on Sunday evening. He assured me that he checked on Friday and my car was going to be picked up on Monday. He promised. This didn't happen. I went on a phone tree search all day Monday, a total waste of time! From Farouk the dispatcher who kept askimg me to wait "1 hr" and "30 mins" for his call back (which never happened). I then got a hold of Baja, another dispatcher, who finally informed me that my car was never assigned to a truck. On the day of the pickup and there's no truck assignment! That was a shock. Finally a Zabi called (Jason said Zabi was the driver, turns out Zabi is another sales person or dispatcher and he said it's his first week on the job) and I then get on a back and forth with Zabi who, at the end of long hours of waiting, offered a tow to come get my car to so they could hold on to it as there were no working trucks to pick up today. This is not a very professional business. I caution any one who values their time in using this company. read more

Larry, our truck driver, was extremely helpful, communicative and quick. Be aware that you need to pay cash upon delivery, no credit cards accepted (which is pretty standard I hear). We've had an incredibly negative experience with UZ Auto Transport from start until even now that we have the vehicle. To start, they informed us (after we called, because we did not hear from them the day before the expected pickup day) that they would be picking the car up 2 days later instead. We relayed that to the person who was releasing our car. But then, a few hours later, they called the person releasing our car and said that they would actually be there in an hour to pick it up. So they switched the pick-up day to later, then back again to the originally planned day, without informing us. Next, the day before our car was scheduled to arrive, we contacted them, as we had not heard anything, and they told us that the car would actually be delivered a few days later due to issues with the driver's truck. We contacted them again on the next scheduled arrival date (again hadn't heard anything), and again were told that it would be delayed longer. And same again on the next scheduled day, and so on, and so on. Our car ended up being almost 2 weeks late when it finally arrived, and no one notified us ever of anything (we had to keep contacting them just to get information). Then, when we finally received the car, we saw that it was damaged. We had just installed a brand new cover on the bed of the truck, and it was completely torn off. The person who dropped off the car told us that they had already ordered a replacement and that someone would be calling us to install it. He also said he would send us the bill of lading via email, which he never did (we still have not received it). UZ Auto Transport called us later and asked if someone could come at 9pm to install the new cover. We told them that 9pm was too late, but asked if they could do 7 or 8 pm. They said that would work and that the installer would call us when they were coming. We received no call and no one came. We called them the next day to see what was going on and why no one called, and they told us they had no idea about the issue or about anyone coming to install the new cover. So now we have to deal with their claims department to try to get reimbursement for the damage. I hope other customers do not have to experience what we have had to. We definitely will not be using and do not recommend UZ Auto Transport to anyone. read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK WITH THEM. This shipping company gave us the worst experience possible. Do yourself a favor and choose ANY one else. Back in October, my husband and I went to Colorado to purchase a classic car. We bought it and needed it shipped back to our home in California. We chose this company but it was scheduled and booked through a third party broker. The broker had no authority of choosing the rate, he was just the messenger between us. It was going to cost us about $1000 okay. Deposit was about $200 and the rest of the payment was to be made when the car arrived to our home. We shipped our new car the night before we were flying back home. Our flight was in the morning. The night of shipment, we were waiting for the tow truck and the driver. When he arrived, he had the WRONG equipment and truck size to have our car loaded on???? He KNEW the car that we had. That was RED FLAG #1. Then he said either A. We need to reschedule or B. We need to DRIVE our own car to the shipping warehouse?? Because we were flying out in the morning, my husband decided to drive the car to the warehouse which we were extremely furious about because that's what we were paying for, someone to pick it up. Mind you, this is a classic case that hadn't been started or driven for 2+ years. IT WAS SNOWING IN COLORADO TOO. We didn't have chains or anything and the warehouse was over an hour out of the way. 2+ hrs driving when car should've been picked up! My husband said it should be ok and he followed the tow truck to the warehouse. He could barely see driving in the night, it was snowing, etc. No heat or defroster in the classic car. I mean it really was unsafe but we had to do that rather than reschedule. The driver was kind and he did apologize but he was only following orders, so idk whose mistake it was that the wrong truck and equipment was brought. This was on a Thursday evening. We were told the car would arrive to our home in CA by Saturday/Sunday. RED FLAG #2. When the car didn't arrive by Sunday, we called UZ AUTO and the boss said the driver had an issue on the way and the car will arrive by Monday, the next day. Why didn't anyone call us prior???? I mean we are the customers, so why didn't anyone inform us rather than us having to find out ourselves? Monday comes, no car. So we call the driver. He's very kind and says he should arrive by Tuesday. Tuesday the car arrives, in one piece thank goodness lol because we started getting worried if this was a legit company. RED FLAG #3 They were very unprofessional when speaking to us at UZ. So yes, we did start to worry about our car. The boss was extremely rude to me but nice to my husband when he would talk. And the boss even laughed at me at one point when I was explaining all the issues we had. He definitely doesn't take women as seriously as he does men. The boss told us we can pay by Zelle, it was one of the options he gave us. At this point I called and told them all of the issues we had and how we had to drive our own car to the warehouse, how dangerous it was, how the car was really late, no one was communicating with us, etc. and I had asked if there was any way to give us ANY discount. I didn't care what it was, but something, anything to accommodate us for everything that was happening and just for good business and customer service. The UZ AUTO boss said no and the broker said he has no authority over price. I said okay that's fine, and Zelle'd the rest of the payment. RED FLAG #4 About 2 weeks or so after we received our car, the driver calls us one day. And I saw the number on my phone and it looked familiar and I answered. He said "Hey this is so and so, I was the driver that delivered your classic car a few weeks ago" and I said "Hi, yes I remember you. Is there something I can help you with..?" Now, I'm confused because we already have our car and we already paid. The driver then says, "Um, yeah well you guys never paid.. did you forget to submit the rest of your payment?" I was soooo confused, so I said "What!? No, we paid! I have the documents on my checking account showing I already paid and I can send you the proof if you need?" And then the driver said "Oh ok then. No it's fine. Alright then bye" HOW WEIRD IS THAT???? So I don't know if they were trying to scam us and have us pay twice OR the boss never paid that driver for his job. Between the terrible customer service, the constant communication and scheduling confusions, the late arrival with no notice, HAVING TO DRIVE OUR OWN CAR AN HOUR+ OUT OF THE WAY WHEN WE PAID FOR IT TO GET PICKED UP, etc etc etc. I mean seriously, please do yourself a huge favor and give a different place your business. Somewhere that cares about its customers, that communicates with you, and that sticks to their word, and gives you the services you paid for. Lucky our car made it driving and it worked out!! I made the mistake of signing the bill of lading after the truck driver dropped it off, only to notice that there was some scrapes on my rear bumper after delivery. Those scrapes did not exist prior to drop off, and since the bill of lading was signed there was no consideration made to repair my vehicle. read more

My experience with UZ Auto was great. This company was contracted by Vroom, the company that bought my car. UZ had to pick up my car in Cincinnati for transport to Houston. My only small nitpick item is that I had to contact them because I hadn't heard from them in the timeframe Vroom said to expect. Other than that little detail, it went great. Zabi, the dispatcher, was pleasant enough, and the car was picked up in the 2-day range of when he told me it would be. The day before pickup, the driver, Volodymyr, called me to confirm. He arrived the next day and got the car loaded up quickly. He was friendly and professional. Car was ultimately delivered to Vroom in excellent condition. What's great is that I had proof of that as soon as it happened because the bill of lading had been given to me upon pickup via email. I received a PDF version and a link to the real-time BOL that allowed me to see the photos taken at delivery inspection, and the summary of vehicle condition that went along with it. Pretty cool. As for reviewers who have complained that they had to go meet the truck, well, duh! If you live in a residential neighborhood with narrow streets like I do, then you can't reasonably expect a 7-vehicle transport semi to be able to pull up to your front door. I figured that out before he got here. Didn't matter since there's an elementary school 2 minutes from my house that has a huge parking lot. He called me from the school lot and apologized for not being able to get down my street. It was no big deal, and I hopped in the car and met him over there. Overall, an excellent experience. I wish I read the reviews before booking this place. It was my first time using a transport company for a car. Expectation #1 was that the car would arrive at the agreed upon location (my address) on Wednesday or Thursday. Then, I receive a call from the driver on Saturday night, saying he will arrive tomorrow and asking where we should meet. My response, "I believe we should meet at the agreed upon location, my address." He then asks me where to park the 18 wheeler. That is a them problem, not me. The driver texts me a location to meet at. I say, okay I will meet you there, however the new bill will be the $1,000 less the unexpected Uber ride. He says okay and that part was fine. Expectation #2 was being able to follow the instructions I received for payment. I opted to go for the Zelle payment to the corporate email address. (Also since the car was 3-4 days early, I hadn't even made it to the bank.) Since the car arrival was on a Sunday, he tells me I cannot send payment to the corporate email. He says I should Zelle the money to his personal account or go get a money order. He also tries to tell and show me how other people have sent money his personal account. I held my ground and said no, I am following the instructions received on the text from the company and that I will not be sending $990 (Uber was $10) to a stranger. He begins to suggest that we need to pick another day for me to get the car. I again, hold my own, and insist that this needs to be figured out today, since I'm already here. I tell him there must be somebody he can call to confirm payment has been received on the corporate account. Begrudgingly, he gets ahold of someone to confirm I can pay through the corporate account and calls back when payment was made. My car looked good and all items were in it, but this was a stressful experience. I'm shocked that what I experienced is considered part of their acceptable business practices. I'm not sure what the point of giving my home address is, if they don't bother to meet me at the agreed upon location. It is irresponsible and negligent to expect customers to pay a company via an employee's PERSONAL account. What would I have done if I had sent $1,000 to the driver I do not know, and God forbid they took the money and ran? If someone chooses to use this company, I recommend you do the following: 1. Ask - Will you be able to meet at my address? If not, where is an agreed upon location that we can meet? 2. Inquire about what the arrival schedule looks like or could possible look like. (I've never heard of arriving 3-4 days earlier than schedule) 2a. I suggest being around and available the entire week before you're car is scheduled to arrive, just in case. 3. Confirm with the company what happens should your car arrive outside of office hours. (I don't think the Zelle thing would have been as much of an issue had the office been open) Good luck! read more
