I had a terrible experience with the woman who runs this laundry. I came with a large batch of both dry cleaning and laundry and they were quite nice. I came back a week later and the clothes to be laundered were not clean. They looked as if they hadn't been touched. I asked her what they did and she replied they were "very dirty." To that non-answer, I said that I'd like them to try and clean them again and she replied "they are very dirty" and I said "I know they can be cleaned because I've had them cleaned at other cleaners". She said "well we can try" and I said "if I leave them, I need to know what process you're going to do to clean them and if they're not clean I won't be paying for the service." She frowned and said "you won't pay?" and I said "no because I know the cleaning can be done". She said well you can take them now. She took the price for the laundered clothes off the total and as I paid with my credit card, she threw it on the counter in disgust. Definitely not a place to patronize, especially since there are many dry cleaners around the Studio City area. read more

My husband and I had been extremely busy for weeks, he has worked extra hours and my commute doesn't leave much time for me. After we had taken some days off to rest we realized our clothes had piled up, and for the first time in 3 years, I opted to fluff and fold. I used yelp to find the best rated location in our area for the service, my preferred cleaners is near my office. Since we were both home for holiday, I needed a place close to home. I have come to regret this decision, not once, but twice. The first time when I opened up each of 3 huge packages of folded clothes only to find nearly every single article of clothing riddled with stains, see the pictures attached. The second time was when I returned the ones that mattered (my husbands work clothes and some of my favorite items, essentially what amounted to 15.00 of the 97.00 bill. The other items which were stained, like socks and undergarments, I figured no biggie they will come clean on the next wash. When I saw the first stain, I thought to myself, I don't recall that being stained, but then one after another, I knew something wasn't right. Not to be extremely weird, but I smelled some of the larger stains and they smelled sweet like a floral soap, so I figured not a big deal, it is a soap that must have leaked at the cleaners. In retrospect, the place is a mess, if you go in the back door, you will see all kinds of junk right under the washing machine, something I will check for in the future, it all makes sense now. When I returned to the cleaners with the stained clothes some of them still folded just as I had found them, the woman was not happy at all, she was all smiles the day before when she charged me nearly 100.00. She even gave me a free lint stick, I wish she had kept in place of my clothes being stained. I explained to her what I found, she continued to have a very sour look on her face, I asked if she could clean them, as they were important, and my husband needed the clothes for work, she wrote up a ticket said nearly nothing, then told me to come back the following afternoon. I returned today, and as a result of what I encountered, I am now sharing my experience. When I showed up, no parking spots were available, another customer from the store next door, Studio LOL, was in the dedicated 10 min cleaners spot, two women just chatting away, so I double parked. I figured I would grab my clothes and head home. Instead, when I got inside, the woman brought the clothes over, still in the laundry basket she had put them in the day before, still stained. She showed me my husbands work shirt and with the stains gone she said she would have to dry clean each item, because I must have gotten grease on them. She said she would only charge me 1.00 for dry cleaning each item, this was her idea of making things right. I told her no thank you, please give me my clothes, I brought them home and took the pictures, and cleaned them each by hand. This is by far the worst service I have ever received at a cleaners, and in the future I am not going to trust any review without many more than 6 positive reviews. All I can imagine is that I am the first person that bothered to return to give them a second chance. Others may have just said to themselves they are never going back there again. Thinking about it all now, here are the takeaways. * Don't expect a DIRTY cleaners to return anything other than DIRTY clothes. * The people that work here weren't even considerate enough to say they were sorry. * Look at each item or take pictures before taking them in and make certain it is clear what is or is not already stained(btw, once our clothes get stained we pretty much donate them if the stains don'e come out in the wash, which is why we are certain it wasn't just a mistake on our part, the load even included articles purchased just a week ago) * Lastly, despite any counter argument that can be made, there is no excuse for them not mentioning the stains to me when I picked them up, unless they are able to fold clothes without looking at them. Nor is there an excuse for her not calling me to inform me she had no intention of cleaning my clothes without taking more money from me. All in all, a very, very sad experience for me. read more

An old business with two Asian family owners who will smile when they charge you but heaven forbid you complain about any kind of service. I had been going there for a little over a year until one day Maira the wife owner - the kinder of the two came to talk to me assuming all sorts of things racially and culturally about my family background and essentially kicked me out of her store. I said I would leave a negative review because of her customer service but she kept flipping me off as if I was trash. I am currently in my last trimester so very hormonal and I left crying - I don't ever want to return there again. I had some time to think over this before leaving a review because I pray this warns other to stay away. All over clothes?! All over torn/worn white collar dress shirts etc. Hope this helps someone. I hope the owners learn from their mistakes, this is not how you treat people. read more

I like this place! Now, I don't pay for a lot of amenities, but I am a fluff and fold connoisseur. As a busy single mom who lives in an apartment with a shared washer and dryer, time saving services such as fluff and fold can be priceless. So here's the breakdown for this place: - They're not the most inexpensive place, but they weigh the clothing in front of you and always round down, which us more than I can say for some others around here. - They are always ready before the scheduled pick up time, with no extra charges. - Everything comes back absolutely uniformly folded, so when you get it home, it needs only to be popped into drawers, with no fixing to do. - The owner lady is very sweet. I might have to become a regular fluff and fold customer again. They'll be the ones with my business. read more

The cheap price and as results bad service...unfortunately. I used the service of this dry-cleaning 3 times and always received unwrought clothes back. Don't send your time and money there. I'm curious cause when I've been there last time I asked them to be overwhelmed and removed the stains second time if they return dirty clothes. I brought a wall hanging to be cleaned and the owner said they could do it no problem. When I picked it up two weeks later, parts were missing and parts were ripped. If they couldn't do it, I'm not sure why they didn't tell me. When I asked for my money back, the woman that works there told me it was old so it was my fault and I'd have to come back when the owner was there. When I did, we went back and forth for a while until he only gave me $20 for the now ruined hanging. Never going back. So rude. read more

I thought that I'd found a great cleaning service. At first, every time I'd stop in and drop off my clothes (mind you I was always dressed very nice or with a logo of an expensive private university somewhere showing) the Asian woman would be all smiles and chatty and just all around giving good customer service. Based on her polite attitude and patient manner, I've always returned to V&R and was a faithful customer for at least eight months to one year. My first bad experience was when I went to drop off some items that required nothing crazy --- just securing some buttons on some costly slacks, the Asian guy who is usually there was just RUDE. I normally deal with his wife. When I walked into the business, he was on the phone. When he saw me enter, he took a moment and then put the phone down to come assist me. As I was going through the items that required special attention, in addition to being cleaned, he would grab the items and say something to the effect of "okay, okay". So after he did this to me the third time, I stopped what I was doing, looked him in the eye and asked him if he was in a rush. (I thought this in my head, I mean "HELLO" I am paying for a service and if you can't take the time to at least hear what my concerns are then you obviously do not want my business). Once he saw the look on my face, he changed his toned from impatient to sour and simply replied no. I should have taken my clothes and went somewhere else right then but I felt like I addressed his impatience and let him know that I recognized and did not like or find his behavior appealing as a paying customer. When I picked up my slacks, my first mistake was to take them home and not inspect them right then and there to make sure that everything was okay. Well, I went home and when I looked at the slacks, the seamstress had secured the buttons alright. He/She decided to sew through the material where the button was located with black thread so that the thread stood out like a total eye sore. Which since my slacks were light grey and tan, was unacceptable. So when I brought the slacks back to the cleaners, the Asian lady was there. Now mind you this time I had just finished exercising and although not funky, I looked not put together, like I had a damn good workout not business and professional like I had the previous times when dropping off my clothes. When the Asian lady came to assist me, she was not her usual happy self. I however, hadn't quite noticed this change in attitude until after speaking with her. So I was cheery and happy and glad that she was there to help me instead of the guy. So when I explained to her the situation about securing the buttons and if they could please not go through the material but if they HAD to, could they please use the same color thread as the pants (or at least a color closer to the color of the slacks). Her replay was curt, short and like she didn't want to hear anything I had to say. She immediately responded that they can not do that and that if I wanted the thread to match, I'd have to go buy the thread myself and bring it back so that they could sew the buttons. What alteration service does not have grey or tan colored thread. Black is not THE ONLY color as an option if they advertise that they are able to do alterations. I was like Whaaat? Um, no. V&R clearly advertises alterations so for the lady to them tell me she couldn't do it and in such a sour pissy way, especially since they'd done other alterations on clothes of many different colors, was in other words saying (in my opinion) that they didn't want my business. So at this point, instead of calling her our on her jacked up attitude, I politely smiled and told her, "I would like to have the buttons secured and if you can not accommodate me with this simple request, I will gladly take my business else where." She said no, we can not. So I picked up what I had left for cleaning the previous time and have NEVER looked back. I know that I did not ask anything over and above what a cleaners would typically do. So for all of their impatience, rude behavior, sourness and the unwillingness to assist me with my basic basic needs, that is on them. Apparently they do not need paying customers. read more

I used to bring sheets and towels here before I got my own washer/dryer--my linens haven't been the same since. They were returned to me like they were brand new!
