I walk by this cleaners every single day sometimes 3-4x a day and finally decided to give them a go. They did such a lovely job on an older, more fragile vintage dress. I wanted it spot cleaned and ready to wear in the coming months. This cleaners was very honest up front with me about how they would handle trying to clean it, and not immediately agreeing to dry cleaning as it may set the spot and suggested washing first. They did a great job, and while the spots are still slightly noticeable the dress looked absolutely fantastic when I picked it up. I think I'll begin to bring more pieces here as I feel I can really trust them. read more

We've been loyal customers since we moved to the Valley in 2010. It was conveniently located from our former home in Sherman Oaks and they always take great care of us and quite accommodating with quick turnaround given my busy travel schedule. One time, I did not realize that I left money in my suit jacket, and they returned the money to me in an envelope when I picked up my dry cleaning. Even after moving 20 miles away to our new home in Porter Ranch, they offered to pick up and deliver our dry cleaning because their son Henry lives nearby our new home. Ruined expensive pants. This used to be a great cleaners. I have been going here for years. Something changed a few months ago and the service went downhill. In my case, they ruined an expensive pair of dry clean only wool slacks by laundering them not once, but twice, on the same visit. I'm very picky about my clothes and my choice of dry cleaner. After a terrible experience at another cleaners several years ago (see my other reviews) I switched to this place. Every trip, I would tell them the same thing. Dry clean everything! All my shirts, all my pants, dry clean everything. I do that to keep them looking g new and because laundering will inevitably shrink and discolor them. I would remind them to dry clean everything every time. It got to the point where they would say it to me before I would say it to them. There was never any question of what to do with my items. So, on to the pair of ruined pants. I had a beautiful pair of black pinstriped wool slacks that I purchased from Banana Republic in 2007 (back when they still made decent clothes). I point this date out because there is no way for me to buy these pants again to replace the ruined ones. These were really great slacks and always looked brand new (because I always dry cleaned them) and I frequently would get compliments on how nice they were. I dropped off the slacks for dry cleaning and, as usual, I said please dry clean this. They said, "I know, dry clean everything." The pants even have a label inside the waistband which reads, "Dry clean only." I felt comfortable they would have no question about the instructions, especially since my receipt stated "dry clean" on it. I was wrong. I picked the pants up and after I paid I immediately noticed that they were slightly faded and discolored. They felt like they'd been washed in water and put in a dryer because they had a different texture now and they'd shrunk. I couldn't believe it. I asked them why they laundered the pants when I had been so specific and the pants even have a dry clean only label and the receipt they gave me even said "dry clean"?! The clerk called an owner over to translate and the owner explained that they decided to launder them not once, but TWICE because there was a spot on the pants (there wasn't). I couldn't believe the incompetence. They didn't even offer to refund the cost of the "dry cleaning". I'll never be back, and I told them so. They didn't care. read more

The only reason why I don't give them one star because they took me right away so I didn't have to wait days to get a curtain cut . When I dropped off my curtains (one pair) the lady said it's $18 , I'm like that's fine , they just need to be cut it so it's a good price for it. I came back to pick it up two hours later and the other lady said 36$ , I'm like it was $18 two hours ago , she said the other lady forgot to tell me it's $18 each . I'm like it's not how that works . U can't change prices after we agree on something and you can't just forget to tell me it's going to be double price by the time when I come back to pick up my stuff . They didn't even say anything they just told me to pay. Horrible customer service !!!! read more

Century Cleaners altered my wedding dress, did a fantastic job. It is very fine material AND there is beading and you cannot tell it has been altered. They cleaned and pressed it as well, removing a small gray mark on the front of the dress. After driving around and getting quotes for TWICE as much as I spent here, I was very happy with both the pricing AND the quality of service. For alterations: 5 stars. For cleaning: 5 stars. For speed of service: 5 stars (David's bridal wants 5+ weeks for alterations, they were ready in 5 DAYS) Very nice people who are obviously completely competent in their job and know exactly what they are doing. I have lived in the neighborhood for about 18 months and originally avoided this dry cleaners because of bad reviews I read here. Instead I went to another cleaners, that did an adequate job, about a mile away that have a horrible parking lot - difficult to get in and out of. One day I was walking past Century (they are two blocks from my home) and I stopped, met and chatted with the owner Young. He seemed like a very nice guy and told me he had owned the cleaners for 13 years. I tried their service and I've been coming back ever since. Young is friendly, speaks English fluently and they always do an amazing job on my clothes at a reasonable price. And my clothing is always professionally packaged. I have no idea how these bad reviews ended up on here, but they are obviously referring to another cleaners because Century does a top notch job. read more

A long time ago this was a great dry cleaners. They then sold the location to new owners and nothing has been the same since. The new owners barely speak English so it is impossible to communicate with them. I brought a jacket of mine in a couple of months ago to have a new zipper put in. I picked up the jacket and from day one I had a very difficult time zipping it up or down. I figured that it would get easier in time so I didn't go back there to discuss it with them. The other day I zipped the jacket up with great difficulty and literally couldn't unzip it. I needed a friend to get me out of my jacket. At that time I decided I'd had enough struggling with the jacket. I went back to century cleaners today explained the problem but of course nobody could understand what I was talking about. The guy kept saying to me I don't think it's a problem I think it's fine. I wanted to smack the guy. I put the jacket on and I said you zip it up. He had a great deal of difficulty zipping it up and he still said I think it's fine. I said to him why are you arguing with me. Then we couldn't get the jacket off. He took 10 minutes of struggling to finally get me out of the jacket. At which time I then said do you still think it's okay? Make a long story short they insisted they never put the the zipper in which further infuriated me. I absolutely positively 100% had them put my zipper in. They were the only dry cleaner as I ever went to. Then he got his associate over there and they both look it up in the computer and looked me in the eyes and said they didn't put in the zipper. At that point I just looked at them and said you just lost a 15 year customer over this. You guys don't know what you're talking about. I walked out never to be returning again. If you're going to come to this country and start a business where you're going to be dealing with the public you absolutely need to be able to communicate with your customers. And if your computer systems are so antiquated that you don't even have the ability to look up a clients record to see what you did or didn't do you really have a problem. read more

When moving to a new neighborhood it's always good to find a dependable dry cleaning spot. And thankfully I live right next to one. Amy, the wonderful lady who runs this place, is thoughtful, warm, and just overall one of the nicest business owners I have met in LA. Their prices are competitive and they have 2 entrances, a front entrance with temporary load and unload parking right off of Ventura Blvd, and a rear entrance with a parking lot in back. She gives lint rollers for Christmas to all of her regular customers, and her sister (at least I believe it's her sister) is an all-star seamstress as she was able to fix my favorite Jimi Hendrix print t-shirt without fail. read more

Without having to prompt them, they took extra care to stuff tissue in the sleeves of a suit they cleaned for me, and they put cardboard shapers on the hangers so it can store without losing its shape. They also accommodated a rush job for me once. They're super nice and really know their stuff! read more
