V&T's is an amazing laundromat. I recently moved to a new apartment nearby and was in the search of a laundromat since my apartment building doesn't have laundry machines in their basement. There were several laundromats just half-a-block from my apartment, but they didn't seem to have great reviews - but V&T did! I walked an extra 6 blocks to visit V&T and I didn't regret the decision - I was blown away by them! They have incredible laundry and drying machines that take only 15minutes or so each for a full load of laundry. The place is clean, and everyone is abiding by social distancing policies, like standing apart and wearing masks, and you can schedule a time to visit to make sure you aren't crowded in. Additionally, I spoke to Vince (one of the owners) and he was incredibly kind. He treated me like you would imagine a quality family-owned business would. They have movie nights in business' "backyard" on the edge of a park and they also do BBQ's. They are very community-focused. Their machines take credit card, apple pay, coins. V&T also has coffee if you are so inclined and they sell detergent as well. And in an important time to support local businesses, as well as Black owned businesses, this would be a the place to go for your laundry needs. read more

This is only my second time here, however I will definitely keep recommending this place to other people. The machines are very very nice and new. The man was trying to explain to me that they are special washing machines that spin faster than a normal washing machine, therefore cutting time in the dryer. I like to use their medium sized washing machines, and I think I wait between 30-40 mins? Not 100% sure though. There are 16 dryers, 2 large washers (I think?), 7 medium washers, and 7 small washers. I've only used the medium, and for their standard wash (not including extra spin, extra wash, etc.) it's $5.00. I'm not sure compared to other laundromats, but it seems a little bit on the pricier side. The dryers are 25 cents per 7 mins I believe? Not bad, especially since their washers do most of the drying, so I only spend around a dollar drying my clothes. The customer service here is impeccable. I was greeted right away. They immediately asked if I've been here before, and after telling them no, the man welcomed me, asked for my name, and gave me a quick tour. He made me feel so comfortable and encouraged any question I had. He was telling me about their family plan, which if you have a family, I'm sure you'd find it useful. But it's just me, so I didn't really want to hear too much about it. I loved how he wasn't shoving the deal down my throat, badgering me to consider it. He simply told me about it just so I can weigh my own options and make the best deal out of their services. Thumbs up! The second time coming in here, one of the women welcomed me and made sure I've been here before. When I told her I'm still rather new, she told me to let her know if I have any questions or need any help. Super nice. I put my laundry in the washer, started it, and about 30 seconds after, I realized I forgot to put the sweatshirt I was wearing in! I asked her if I could stop the machine and restart it because I forgot my sweatshirt, and she unfortunately told me no :( I totally get it, not her fault, but I was so disappointed. A minute later, she called me over, stopped my machine, told me to put my sweatshirt in, and she swiped her own card to restart it. I was soooo thankful! Love this Laundromat. The machines have an extra-rinse option, which is critical for my sensitive skin (I'm mildly allergic to some detergents). Staff is very friendly and puts good stuff on TV. Machines are fast. Pay with card if you don't want to fumble with quarters, every 10th wash free. You may have to knock, they sometimes keep the door locked to keep a couple obnoxious locals out. Just found my go to laundromat. New to the area and was happy to see them open right after a snowstorm. Vince opened the door and said "you're crazy, its cold. get in here." I soon shared how I was new to the neighborhood and I was here to do my first loads and was happy to see V&T was open. Vince than continued to show me how to operate the machines. Really like it. Very helpful when I couldn't figure out how to use machines- not that they are difficult to use. (It took me about 20 times to figure out which way to put the bus ticket in the slot and I still don't insert it the right way all the time- I'm very tech I un-savvy ) Fast, clean, helpful and reasonable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This was my first time going to this laundromat, since I just moved to NYC a few days ago. But this was hands-down the best laundromat experience I've had ANYWHERE. When we first got there, V&T themselves greeted us and showed us how to use the machines. Their establishment was so clean and upbeat - plus they had WiFi and restrooms, so we were set for however long we needed. There was good music, which really made for a great energy in the room. It was relatively busy, and it was clear that everyone there was a regular (which is also a really good sign). The machines were all very new and worked so quickly. Our laundry was totally done (washed and dried) within an hour. They also offer drop-off service. V&T were so sweet that people even stopped in just to say hi to them - they weren't even there to do their laundry! New York is a big city - but there's still very few businesses that make you feel as welcomed as you'll feel at V&T's Laundry Box. The owners, Vincent & Tonya are like a favorite Tia & Tio (Aunt & Uncle). Lots of their customers are also friendly. I know I'm talking about just a laundromat here but it's a place so many of us have to spend time in - like a barbershop- life's too short to have a bad barber or a bad laundromat. There are several options from how you want to pay from coins to family card. There's an assortment of detergents and softeners in case you need them. They sell all the things you need to do your laundry and you can pay in anyway you can think of. EVEN Apple Pay! That means no running to get change and having to carry crazy quarters! I don't really write reviews, but the exceptional service here deserves an exception. I've been going to V&T's for the past 2 years since I moved into Harlem. I recently moved into a new apartment in Brooklyn that has a single coin-op W/D in the basement, and after 6 weeks living there, can give an accurate comparison of experience. With V&T's, I never needed to worry about available and functional machines, having loose change (machines have card/contactless payment), air conditioning, or service. On top of that, there's a giant flatscreen that's always playing something entertaining - great movies/TV/music. For a negligible one-time flat membership fee, you get the password to their 30mbps+ Wi-Fi in addition to cleaning discounts, so you can take one of their many chairs and work/relax while you wash. With a super wash cycle in a mid-sized bin that takes 20-26min for $5, and a high-heat dry cycle that takes 16-20min for $0.75-$1, I have been able to enter and exit in 45min or less, but usually I'm in no rush to leave. And especially during these Coronavirus times, I can count on V&T's to be clean and have a spot for me with their online reservation system to practice social distancing. With drinks, snacks, and supplies available for purchase as well, they truly have it all. And this isn't even factoring in the faces behind the establishment, Vince and Tanya. They are both wonderful, down-to-earth people that you should get to know. They have a lot of experience to talk to, and are always game for a good time. Needless to say, their diligence in service reflects who they are as people. Now fast forward 6 weeks, with my new apartment I cannot always wash on my own time in the building - there's no way to organize with the other tenants, so I've been resorting to washing late at night. The older SpeedQueen machines cost $2.50 for a wash that takes 30min and $2.50 for a dry that takes 45min. They'll get the job done for $5 if they don't eat a quarter or two along the way, however in about twice the time I was used to in Harlem. I have used Cleanly (now ByNext) in a pinch for pickup and drop-off services (where I know they will handle my clothes right to prevent exposure), however the turnaround is 2 days and it costs me around $30 for the same load. Man I miss V&T's. read more

Hands-down the best laundromat I've ever visited. Reasons why they're the best: (1) You can use your debit/credit card at every washer/dryer. NO QUARTERS REQUIRED. (2) INCREDIBLY POWERFUL MACHINES, but without the extra cost. From start to finish (not including folding your laundry), you can get two large loads done in UNDER 40 MINUTES. (3) They offer a refillable laundry card like other spots, but unlike other locations, theirs gets you access to a bunch of extras like Wi-Fi, free lemonade/water/sodas, bathroom access, etc. (4) They have an XBox One and a Playstation 4, and sometimes you can play them! (5) They have a popcorn machine, and if you have one of the laundry cards, you may just get free popcorn some days! This place is spotless, its owner-operated and Tanya and Vincent are incredible people, the machines are so efficient you're in and out in no time, and they have such a reliable drop-off service that people outside of the neighborhood come here just to drop off their clothes! I really don't want to give them this rating especially after seeing all the other 5 star reviews. People are starting to get hip to how great this place is. It is owned by a husband and wife team. They are funny, warm, welcoming and above all kind. The machines are clean, super fast and inexpensive. They even have a loyalty program with perks such as discounted laundry soap, free water and internet, every 10th load is free and more. I usually detest doing my laundry. Every time I bring my computer to work while I do laundry, Welp it's pushed to the side as I engage in a random conversation ranging from Steve Harvey's Family Feud to politics.
