First, the staff is incredible - they are so welcoming and kind. Our hygienist, Susie, was especially caring, gentle and detailed. It was the day after Halloween and I'm biting into a Jr. Mint Patty when C R A C K! and one of my front teeth breaks like glass. Yes, a Jr. Mint. Soft and sweet. So, I call McKaskle and they have me come in right away. Through some tooth technologies that I was not aware of, McKaskle made a 3D model of my tooth, color matched it with the rest of mine, the turn on some machine that spun out a ceramic replacement. While the front-end experience began smoothly thanks to Paula -- a sweet, kindhearted southern woman who made me feel welcomed and respected -- the situation took a turn for the worse once I encountered Chelsea, the regional manager. I asked for a simple breakdown of my billing and how my insurances were applied. Instead of helping me understand or calmly walking me through it, Chelsea entered the room aggressively, interrupted my phone call with my husband, and said, "I came back here to talk to you, but since you're on your phone, I can wait." I responded politely, telling her she could speak because I was on the phone with my husband regarding the insurance conversation. That's when things escalated. She rudely told me that it was my responsibility to know my own insurance -- loudly and condescendingly. When I questioned her attitude and wording, she raised her voice again. At that moment, I calmly removed the cloth from around my neck and said, "You know what? I'm going to leave." I informed Paula at the front that I would not tolerate being spoken to like that, especially not by someone in a leadership role. This was unprofessional, disrespectful, and racially charged. Chelsea's behavior should not be tolerated in any healthcare environment. I do not recommend this location. Chelsea's attitude ruins any chance of a good experience -- and that's coming from someone who came ready to pay out of pocket for services. Exam and procedure rooms are quite modern and they have all the latest technology. Yesterday I had a "deep cleaning", which I've unfortunately needed multiple times over the years. My hygienist, Karol, did an amazing job as did Dr. Smith, the dentist, who gave me the numbing injections. They teamed up to make the whole experience my best ever! Today, Jasmine called to follow up on me, and I also got to speak with Karol. This is an exemplary practice!
