I read all the reviews, which were all positive, except for one. The one thing that stood out was that each review received a reply from the owner, Winston. I've hired Winston before. He came last year to clean my micro fiber couch and did an amazing job for an incredible price. This time, I needed him to come in and clean our tile floors and kitchen counter tops in our new home. They were in terrible condition. The grout in the tile was so black with dirt and grim my dad thought that was their true color. Winston came in and did a miracle. The grout was restored back to its original color, definitely not black, and the kitchen and bathroom counter tops were cleaned to perfection. Winston did a great job steam cleaning our house carpet. He was on time, helpful, and professional. When asked about a hard spot/stain, he took a couple more passes on it, and got it up completely, to my surprise. He responded to voicemail immediately for appt. The carpets were wet a little longer than expected(probably due to the carpet itself), but overall a great experience, and a great deal. My carpet looks a lot better, with a large spot in a high traffic area completely removed, which really made me happy. He had an offer on Living Social that was better than others too, but I'd gladly pay what others are charging for less rooms/square feet for carpet cleaning. He provides other floor cleaning and restoration services, and really seems to know his stuff and like his work. Well ZeroRez came out to clean a carpet that had barely visible dog urine spots. The alkaline process subtly bleached all the urine spots making them very visible. I will NEVER use ZeroRez again for this type of issue and I advise everyone here to follow my lead. read more

I got an outrageous quote from Zerorez for the same work, which is why I came back to VNT/Winston. As he was leaving, Winston reminded me that after one more service, the fourth one was free! I didn't know he offered that! As a small business owner, I appreciate his Groupon offerings. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN, Winston.! I purchased his carpet cleaning service through Groupon. After many attempts to call him, then having to call groupon, he called me back. He did not show up at scheduled time & told me I had the time all wrong. He did show up three hours later and blah blah, his state of the art equipment did not fit the water supply. We rescheduled so he could get the proper fitting. Tried numerous times to call to confirm; always voice mail, left four messages. The morning of the appointment, he finally answered and said I had time/date wrong. After reminding him of our conversation, he said he could come in three hours; I agreed. He did not show up, call or answer his phone. Groupon gladly refunded my money but I would rather have had my carpets cleaned. We have used Winston prior to he being a owner, he is personable And reasonable. He did leave permanent grind scars in our tile in two places but we like to support local small business and these were not horrible. We called for service and set up an appointment. We took 3 days to move all furniture and rugs out. Winston showed up 2 hours late. We pulled out file and noted that we had a free service due, signed by him. We asked if he would honor it. He had to call his wife and came back to say not today, we said we would split it so it was a win, win. He again said he would honor the contract but would have to wait until a different day saying he had some job conflict, not sure what that means since he was there and the furniture was out. He said he Would definitely honor the contract. We were upset as we had removed our furnitur. He stated that he would even bring someone to help move the furniture so we would not. He signed a second note on the contract stating this. He also sent a text that day, before leaving, as well saying we have an appt on the 28th at 8:30. I contacted him the day before to verify the time (we actually left most furniture out for two weeks to help). No word back. Winston came on the day we needed him to be there - only issue was a slight mix-up on time, but that was a half-hour time difference and could very easily have been my fault. In addition he left in a hurry and didn't properly clean up after applying grout sealer to my floors. When I called to complain he promised to come back and rectify the problem.
