Super happy with my visit to V! First time at this salon and have been to hundreds across San Diego and LA county. Kevin took my initial call and answered all questions nicely and had an appointment time for me to come in later that day. They do offer Gel X nails + mani/pedis for kids which initially were my two main reasons for choosing them over others in the area. After stopping in, the staff was very friendly to me and my 4 year old daughter, letting her sit in the pedicure chairs next to me even though she couldn't quite reach the foot bowl. They did a polish change for her and my pedicure was amazing. The lady who did my pedicure was incredible + so nice and thorough/not rushed - I wish I had gotten her name! They used hot stones for the massage portion which I loved. Kevin did my Gel X nails himself and was a perfectionist in the best way. They were stunning. The color options are vast and they have many cool trends as well. I haven't been so happy with my nails in years honestly. The shape was excellent and exactly what I asked for. Not to mention, they stayed on for over a month (which yes is too long and they definitely grew out) but with ZERO lift, none falling off, and no breakage. I know a lot of salons that cheap out in the nail glue, but this is not one of them. 10/10 recommend and will be going back! Thank you V Nails for a great experience for me + best experience for my daughters second pedicure.

Who can resist a shiny cat gel nails like this? My first time trying the product, I was so blown away by the end result. It looks so elegant in the shade but under the sun, it was reflecting a glorious of glimmer sparkles, no words can express it Nails were beautifully done, thank you so much!

I think I just found my new favorite nail place after searching all over north county! Fawn took such detail and precision with my nails, something I haven't noticed with other nail artists. It didn't feel like she was trying to get mine done as fast as possible but rather to make sure she was doing it right. She was so kind and attentive to the type of color I wanted for my nails and I can't wait to come back!

The service here is always 5/5 stars. If you want good gel x to last you many weeks come here, they always do a great job. They always last me about 4-5wks. I always recommend this place for gel x and pedicures. They take their time doing both and making sure they always offer the best quality.

The young man in charge takes care of his customers, and makes sure that they do their best to provide excellent service. I highly recommend them because they're never in a hurry, or rush to get you in and out of their salon. Additionally, I recently had an issue with a nail, and the nail was fixed at no cost to me. I truly appreciated that the nail salon made it right with no problem. I always feel pampered by whoever does my nails. I give this place five stars!

They fixed my nails that were ruined by another nail place. It was super clean all of the nail techs are INCREDIBLY SWEET! I highly recommend! I will make this my regular nail spot. Only thing I could think that they could work on is the massages for the pedicures it's a little too light touch for my preference. It wasn't as deep as I expected. But that could just be me! I wouldn't take a star off as this can be a preference for each individual. I'm obsessed with this place I got a 2 nails replaced and a fill to fix the damage of my nails previously I'll attach a before I came here & my after!

I have been going to V for 4 plus years. Steve is always so pleasant, kind and funny. He remembers me and my daughter when we come in, always has the chair ready on time when appointments are made. It's a small and more intimate/relaxing setting, which I love. Classic pedicure $30 and it comes with the aroma therapy foot bath and hot stone massage. It's very clean, which is key for me. Located in a strip mall off Melrose, it's easy to get to with plenty of parking.

BEST NAIL SALON EVERRRR! I'm extremely impressed with both the work and the customer service. I asked for French tip nails and Fawn did exactly what I showed her, in fact better! They came out so good that I had to take some nice photos of it. Steve is very welcoming. I noticed he always greets customers by name and attends to them right away. Never leaves them waiting for too long. Overall, I would highly recommend this nail salon. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Just had the most lovely experience here. Came in for a pedicure and they allowed me to add on a manicure last minute as well. The entire experience was relaxing and wonderful. Loved this place!! Customer service is spectacular, place is clean and well maintained. Had my pedicure done by Steve, friendly, gentle and meticulous. Took his time and did a fantastic job! Fawn (not sure if I spelled her name correctly) did my dip! She was also very meticulous, took her time and did a beautiful job! What I really loved is that special touch she adds to this service, she manicures your nails and cleans your cuticles. Soaks your hands and manually trims your cuticles. Every place in the past that I have gone to get dip or gel on my nails only use their sand gun to clean around the nail, its rough and not very effective. She shaped my nails beautifully and they don't feel thick. Prices are great and you get more for your money! This is now my permanent nail salon! read more

Several weeks ago I went in for my usual pedicure with Fawn. I had a lot of trouble deciding on the exact color I wanted, one between an orange and a pink. I couldn't decide between #149 and #150. I finally chose #149, but when Fawn applied it, I thought it was a little too orangey. So she suggested doing the second coat with #150. Voila! It was perfect! I have named the color "Fawn," and will be asking for it on my next visit. I am never disappointed with the V Nails employees. They do their very best to make sure that you are happy. read more

Recently retired and my wife talked me into getting my first ever Pedicure, Oh My God !! I never knew what a great experience it is to be pampered in this way. Steve and all of the ladies are just great. The massage chairs are top shelf, liners for the warm water foot soaking, the salon is extremely clean, the foot and calf massage are wonderful. We are now monthly regulars at V-Nails, I look forward to getting pampered once a month now. Would highly recommend this salon for any men looking to have your hands and feet be pampered. read more

This place is amazing. So much different from other salons, because you NEVER feel rushed. This always makes the quality of the work they do, fantastic. Everything is by appointment for the most part so it's best to call and schedule. Steve is the owner and he's wonderful. He's meticulous and has always helped with pesky ingrown nails I have. All of the other nail techs are always wonderful as well. I've never come in here and felt like I was getting snickers from the nail techs or that they were talking negatively right in front of you. I have recommended this place to so many people, and every one of them is now a regular customer. Absolutely reasonable prices as well. Go check it out!! read more

I tried V salon from two friends recommendations, Vicki & Carol. This is a very nice salon, The massage chairs are wonderful, the staff is friendly, kind, and thorough. It is a large salon with fresh air circulating. The products used smell great. As a retired Registered Nurse, cleanliness is my main concern, and now with Covid it vitally important. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone wanting a quality manicure or pedicure in a safe, clean & friendly environment. I took my husband to get his 1st pedicure. I wanted to get away from acrylic as I had been doing them for over 30 years. So I recently had to go in for surgery and knew recovery was going to be over a month so I took off my nails and that would be the perfect time to move on... So fast forward to today (6 weeks post surgery) finally ready to get a new set so I went to Yelp to find a new place that had high star reviews within 25 min of my house and found this place. So called and made a same day appointment and was set with Ivan. I'm so happy Ivan took the time to listen to what I wanted and knowing this was my first gel x set he talked about the process and we were ready to go. Then he checked in several times to make sure I was happy with the length and shape which I totally am. So needless to say Ivan's my new nail tech!!! So glad. Also brought my daughter who got a gel manicure from Amy and she was super happy with her service as well!! You won't be disappointed.

I usually just get a regular spa pedi/mani (they also do gel and special powders, plus acrylics) and I am always happy with the results for the price. The place is clean and they take walk-ins, but I have had to come back another day with an appointment since they were booked one time when I walked in. I have always been greeted right away with a friendly attitude, and they give you a small bottle of water when you sit down for your service. I came in without an appointment a week after getting a pedicure there, because I stepped on something at home which caused my toenail polish to chip, and they welcomed me into a chair right away and touched up that toe and a few others that needed it free of charge. I will always come back to Forever Nails!

I wouldn't even give this salon a one star because first of all this older lady didn't even seem to know what she was doing I was being patient enough and telling her that I did not like the length of the paint on my french tip and she still did not understand me and the shape was not what I wanted I asked for a coffin shape this is not a coffin shape. Also, left one nails so uneven it's all bumpy and not straight. And I brought up it up to them and they blamed it on me for "moving too much and talking too much" they still charged me $60. Would not recommend this place save your money. read more
