my messed up ugly rushed nails
    Atira H.

Today, I went in for a gel mani-pedi which they charge $65...?ok. There's no price list around but they always do a great job so i've never paid it any mind. However, this time was different. I requested a specific color for my toes... they didn't have it.ok cool. I try again.. they didn't have that either.. ok cool. My pedicure was going well until the pedicurist called over the manicurist by the name of Joe who didn't greet me... just immediately picked my hand up and asked if i want them cut down. i said no just filed to be even. He starts cutting them anyway.ok no turning back from that. Joe starts on my right hand and then has me cross my left arm over my body so he can work on that too. For 35 minutes I sat uncomfortably so that they could do two services at one time to leave faster. I understand that folks are ready to go so Im all for whatever gets us out of here.. as long as it looks good. All of this would've been worth it if the mani-pedi looked good but it didn't. my nails were roughhhhly filed, there was so much attitude, the shaping is off... none of the nails are the same shape and there are bubbles and particles and polish all over my nails in places it shouldn't If i'm paying 65 for a pedi and 45 for a mani i expect the work to always be good. They can never explain the prices either. When asked why the pedi was $65, the receptionist said well the upgraded pedi is more and i told her i didn't select that.. she said well you got gel so they charged more... ok?? how much more i asked if it's 10 extra or what? she says 25. i say ok. If you're going here do not go to Joe. Now my cuticles are messed up, my shaping is ugly and my nails are much shorter. It's disappointing because I favored this place out of every other local place. Usually they do a great job. This is the first time i've been disappointed but it definitely left a mark. edit: BEWARE.. management is snarky, will tell you they do not offer refunds but it's not posted anywhere!!!!

A couple of my friends have standing appointments here, so I decided to give this place one more go... and it was well worth it. I don't remember seeing any of the nail techs from my 2019 visits, so I'm not sure if this place is under new management, staff overhaul, or if they've done some serious customer service training. Either way, it's MUCH better than my previous experiences. I enjoyed my time there and the mango-strawberry frozen drink really hit the spot on a hot summer day. [adding pics from 2 week old mani/pedi session. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

This is was my first time trying them and I am VERY pleased! I came in at about 7P and they were only able to accommodate polish changes since they were closing at 8P, but I was okay with that. My tech was Nina and she was really sweet. I was honestly skeptical because most places aren't the most friendly especially when they're closing, but Nina was pleasant. She was patient with me as I chose my colors and even gave me a little razzle dazzle. I will surely be back to have the full experience with her! Update: Turns out Nina's special touch and pleasant accommodations were a perfect set up for my engagement just a week later I was completely surprised so of course, this set is even more special!

As a Valentine's Day gift, my girlfriend gifted us the "VIP pedicure" at V Spa. We made a weekend reservation and took the 35 minute trek to Maryland. V spa is located in a plaza so there was a decent amount of parking. Once we arrived, we were guided to the VIP suite, which is in a private wing. This suite included snacks, juice and even the toilet in the bathroom was automatic. The entire experience was excellent: the massage chair, the pedicure, the hot towel treatment on your legs, followed by a short 5 minute massage at the end. V spa gets my highest recommendation! I'll drive back for this same experience maybe twice a year. My only suggestion is that they open a door or get more ventilation, because the fumes from the manicures were very strong in the main area.

If I could give zero stars I would... The unprofessional saga of V SPA continues! So even though my last review which was a month ago ended on a bad note and I had made up my mind that I was not going to return to V Spa I figured I might give them a second chance regardless of the racist manager Kim. Now has a little bit of background I've been going to V Spa since before V Spa even existed I used to go to Jimmy and KV when they owned a nail shop across from Best Buy 9 to 10 years ago! Since they open V Spa I have been a loyal customer to them to include bringing my 18-year-old daughter, my sister, my niece, my mother my ex husband and friends and family. So needless to say I have been extremely foolishly loyal and spent thousands upon thousands of dollars a year at this establishment for many years ! Today I called regarding an appointment I was supposed to have with Peter at 1 PM which I made on September 20, 2022 even though I had a bad experience last time I made appointments all the way through December. Now no one has bothered to email me nor text me to tell me that my appointments were canceled even though they have an automated system instead they did sneaky underhanded shit and just deleted all of my appointments without notifying me. Wow what a lack of honesty and a lack of professionalism. The sad part is I truly love KV as a person and I used to adore Jimmy and Peter but clearly it shows that they Jimmy doesnt care about loyalty and will be rude to you and dismiss you as soon as you piss them off or leave a bad review. Extremely unprofessional!!! I will definitely be spreading the word to EVERYONE I KNOW TO AVOID GOING TO VSPA!!

Found this place after visiting a nail salon close by. Glad I did. Social distancing is enforced. Hand sanitizer available. Clean. Comforting atmosphere. My nail tech was Kathy. Mrs. Kathy is what I call her now. She was nice and gentle with my cuticles. Pedicure felt amazing. Didn't want it to end. She cleaned up my eyebrows. I always have a tear or 2 fall when getting eyebrows waxed. Because I'm a big baby. Not this time. I got my first fill in after getting a silk wrap full set a few weeks ago. And I love my nails. She chose my designs. I only chose the colors. Love this place and I will be returning. They are being careful so only people who are getting serviced are allowed inside.

This was my first time getting a manicure, courtesy of my lovely girlfriend, and it was a great experience! Even though I was kinda nervous, for whatever reason, it turned out to be very nice and relaxing. Great first time experience, totally recommend. I mean just look at those nails!

The decor & waiting area is very well done. The Technician I had, appropriately named Angel, was very good. She didn't rush, and seemed to care about providing the best pedicure. I watched the other customers as they were getting their respective pedicure and everyone seemed as pleased as I. I highly recommend V-Spa... they are #MallyMallApproved

I asked him if he can do what was in the picture. He said yes. I got this instead. You would think he would use pink acrylic or a pinkish clear polish. I thought he was good but I don't think that anymore. And everyone is always in a rush in this place. I can see if you did a good job but this time I'm definitely not coming bk here or I'll go to another person. 60 something dollars for this!

I have to carefully coordinate my schedule and meetings, so a no-show is unacceptable. Today, service was refused by another staff member without any explanation. I had called ahead to inform them that the person getting a massage would be running late, and I was told it would be fine, with the understanding that the massage might be shortened to allow time for completing forms. However, when the masseuse entered the room, they had a noticeably negative attitude about the situation. ME as a whole has been going downhill since the pandemic. Turnover is ridiculous and customer service is hit or miss. Here is an excerpt from a similar situation, this review was posted 4/21/25: ".... was scheduled for a 2:00 PM massage appointment with Karen. Upon walking back with her, I asked for clarification about a comment made by the front desk associate, Elisa (sp), who mentioned, "You should get the best service she can give you since you're late." I simply wanted to understand what that meant. Karen responded with an unnecessarily sharp and dismissive tone, saying, "What does that have to do with anything?" Her response felt disrespectful and unprofessional, especially considering my cultural sensitivity to tone and communication style. At that point, I decided to cancel the appointment, as I no longer felt comfortable proceeding. The person who checked me in then informed me that I would be charged for being canceling, I would rather pay the fee than be massaged by someone who addressed me in such a manner." Read the reviews.....customer service is an ongoing issue.

The recipient, who understands how Massage Envy works, attempted to schedule on July 2nd. She was told the next available appointment at Waldorf wasn't until August -- even though online availability showed several openings within a few days. It felt like the staff was purposely making it difficult to redeem the gift. When I confronted them, they suggested trying another location. That second location said the gift could only be used at the original Waldorf store -- again, contradicting what I was told during purchase. I called Waldorf to escalate, but was refused access to a manager and even given a fake corporate phone number. The entire experience was unprofessional, dishonest, and frustrating. The associate who sold me the package appeared to know she'd misled me but offered no help. Unless this is resolved, I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Our spa pass included a mimosa and access to their outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and relaxation lounges. There were also snacks and teas in the lounges. They also provide you with a locker, sandals, and a robe, and all the towels you'd ever need. The outdoor pool was fairly small but there were several places to sit outside with umbrellas so we enjoyed our time there with the view. The sauna was like the saunas in most gyms so I didn't spend much time there but I enjoyed the steam room for sure. The only reason I'm docking a star is that I don't think the spa pass was worth the $100pp it would have been normally, as the amenities were pretty standard and the women's locker room was pretty small. It def makes sense being in the MGM resort and can be great for guests but I'd rather spend my money at a standalone spa like King Spa that had more unique offerings. Still was a great day though and great to know this is right there in case we wanted to come back or try a massage etc.

Well needless to say, we will be on the hunt for a better spot- FOR SURE. Here's what our feedback was to the establishment since they asked, and I decided to share here in case it's helpful to anyone thinking about going here: "The overall experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards expected of a professional wellness or spa environment. The walk between buildings felt awkward and disjointed, and the areas where services were provided were visibly unclean. This immediately detracted from the sense of calm and comfort that clients typically seek when booking spa services. The sauna instructions were overly complicated and nonintuitive. Rather than supporting a seamless, stress-free experience, the setup required unnecessary effort and attention at a time when guests should be able to arrive, decompress, and enjoy the service. One of the facials was particularly concerning. The provider fell out of her chair during the session, left the room for approximately 15 minutes within the allotted service time, and complained openly about missing supplies that had not been ordered. Her presentation and behavior appeared impaired or otherwise not fully attentive, which was alarming in a setting where professionalism, focus, and client safety are expected. There were also sanitation concerns. Gloves were not worn during the sessions- in particular extractions & close facial work, which raised hygiene and safety questions. Given the nature of skincare treatments and direct contact with facial areas, adherence to clear sanitation protocols is critical. Both facials were performed below expected standards. Product application felt careless rather than intentional for both clients. Creams were applied in a manner that resulted in product entering the nostril area for both clients. In one instance, the technician had to awkwardly clean the inside of a nostril during the service, which was unexpected and uncomfortable (and something never experienced prior). In the other facial, cream entered the nostril and remained there throughout the session, creating concern about inhalation; the client ultimately had to clean it out herself after the session. This experience was distracting and far from relaxing. Additionally, massage and sculpting techniques reflected a noticeable lack of refinement and training, particularly for clients accustomed to higher-quality services. Overall, the experience lacked attentiveness, professionalism, cleanliness, and the level of care expected in a premium setting."

Waldorf yall did it to me again! This was posted on Monday, April 27, 2026 at around noon…read more I just paid $59 plus a lil tip (because I'm not a monster) for the most basic azz, botched pedicure of my life! Her name was Brenda and she's been working at the shop for about a year and she also works at Longhorn in the area. She was nice and all yall but she basically tickled my feet and gave me one of the worse paint job I've ever experienced. I have a question WALDORF, how do you all give this place almost 4 stars for work like this?! I don't like to post my feet unless I'm getting paid but I had to make an exception because what? I went in with the intent to get a pedicure and gel nail but when I'm somewhere new, I start with seeing how they do on my pedicure first. This was a Spanish speaking shop across from a Spanish Market and next door to a liquor store which is neither here nor there but for informational purposes only. Listen, it was quiet (went on a Monday around 11:30am) and the ladies seemed super sweet but yall.... I'm sure she has no idea how displeased but b/c I'd rather receive mediocre service than gripe and complain I just grinned and bared it. I'm no Karen okay! But yall It's only remotely not that bad only because it's gel. I mean how much can you mess that up, right! But yall, it was way too costly for how sloppy the work and just not worth it. I did the basic gel pedicure with paraffin. Something I don't do often. I selected a light or Barbie pink color but I changed it because she was having so much trouble finding my color choice. Here is all she did wrong: 1. No proper intro: hello, my name is Brenda, thank you for coming in today. Please pick your color and take a seat and I'll be right with you. 2. Too light of a touch. I actually felt like she was being funny or just really scared. 3. No gentle suggestive selling. She actually started my service w/o know my color choice and stating her English is not too good. Okay but come on! Make that money girl and don't just over charge for subpar service PLEASE!! 4. The water was very shallow and luke warm. She simply handed me a price list and did not clarify my desire of service. 5. The paint was sloppy and all on my cuticles and top of toe. I have fat, wide feet with a short, very square nail bed. So I don't require a ton of polish. I like sharp line and thin even coats. I am so sick of this! I gotta go all the way to VA for professional nail service because Waldorf girlies just can't get it right. Waldorf yall full of subpar services and I'm over it!! I'm sorry to the owner for this harsh review but I gotta be real. Consistency is key the people will pay more for that. My money is too hard earned for this foolishness. The nails are really just barely okay and that not okay. I could have saved my $65 and did it myself. ‍Never again!‍
