I recently visited VSpa for a pedicure with Titi. Although she arrived about 15 minutes late, I initially appreciated that she seemed to be taking her time with my service. However, after leaving and getting to my car, I noticed gel polish left on my big toe and, once I put on my glasses, realized the overall polish application was very messy. I immediately returned to the salon and was told to wait until Titi finished with her next client. Since I had to get to work, I asked if another technician could quickly fix the issue, but I was told she had to correct her own work. I then asked if I could return the following day, but was informed there were no available appointments. At that point, I requested a refund, but the front desk associate stated that it was beyond her authority. I asked for a manager and was told there was no manager on site. I later requested a call from management, but never received one. I've been a loyal customer of this salon for about three years, and John has always done a phenomenal job with my nails. I've only been getting pedicures there for the past year, which is why this experience was so disappointing. More than the quality of the pedicure, I was surprised by the lack of customer service and unwillingness to work with me to resolve the issue. The staff at this shop is horrible with the exception of maybe one nail tech. This is the second bad experience I've had at this shop but still gave them an opportunity to redeem themselves. And that's exactly where I went wrong. I came here Oct. 19 for a fill in with simple nail art in mind. The black receptionist with the red hair was up front upon arrival. Not coming back. Last pedicure was not great and this one isn't great either. Just look at the photos. I paid $80 for this gel pedicure. I got the one above the lowest one - which includes callus removal because apparently adding that to the basic would've made it just as expensive. A couple of my friends have standing appointments here, so I decided to give this place one more go... and it was well worth it. I don't remember seeing any of the nail techs from my 2019 visits, so I'm not sure if this place is under new management, staff overhaul, or if they've done some serious customer service training. Today, I went in for a gel mani-pedi which they charge $65...?ok. There's no price list around but they always do a great job so i've never paid it any mind. However, this time was different. I requested a specific color for my toes... they didn't have it.ok cool. I try again.. they didn't have that either.. ok cool. My pedicure was going well until the pedicurist called over the manicurist by the name of Joe who didn't greet me... just immediately picked my hand up and asked if i want them cut down. i said no just filed to be even. He starts cutting them anyway.ok no turning back from that. Joe starts on my right hand and then has me cross my left arm over my body so he can work on that too. For 35 minutes I sat uncomfortably so that they could do two services at one time to leave faster. I understand that folks are ready to go so Im all for whatever gets us out of here.. as long as it looks good. All of this would've been worth it if the mani-pedi looked good but it didn't. my nails were roughhhhly filed, there was so much attitude, the shaping is off... none of the nails are the same shape and there are bubbles and particles and polish all over my nails in places it shouldn't If i'm paying 65 for a pedi and 45 for a mani i expect the work to always be good. They can never explain the prices either. When asked why the pedi was $65, the receptionist said well the upgraded pedi is more and i told her i didn't select that.. she said well you got gel so they charged more... ok?? how much more i asked if it's 10 extra or what? she says 25. i say ok. If you're going here do not go to Joe. Now my cuticles are messed up, my shaping is ugly and my nails are much shorter. It's disappointing because I favored this place out of every other local place. Dishonesty, Fraud, or both. You call it. In February 2025, my husband surprised me with two V SPA gift cards, each worth $150, for my birthday and Valentine's Day. I spent part of one card in February on a Deep Cleansing Facial ($90) and a Classic Manicure ($25). I received a receipt that indicated the remaining balance on the card; however, the co-owner kept the gift card and only gave me the receipt. At the time, I thought nothing of it. I scheduled a second service for a Reflexology Massage ($70). When I returned a week later for my massage, I realized I had misplaced the receipt that showed the gift card balance. As a result, I lost the remaining $30 since the co-owner had kept and discarded the gift card. Therefore, I used my second gift card to pay for the reflexology service. The co-owner also kept that card and gave me a receipt indicating I had an $80 balance remaining. This time, I acknowledged that he was keeping my card. The co-owner assured me I did not need the card, just the receipt. On March 18, 2025, I had a final appointment for a VIP Pedicure ($70). After my service, I handed the receipt reflecting the $80 balance to the other co-owner. He told me he could not accept the receipt and needed the gift card. I explained that the previous co-owner had taken my card and given me the receipt instead. Another employee present corroborated my statement. The co-owner then called his partner to verify my account, but the co-owner who had taken both my gift cards lied, claiming he had not taken them. The employee confirmed that he had taken the cards. After a few polite exchanges, the co-owner insisted that I would have to pay for the service since I did not have the gift card. I ended up paying with my VISA. I feel that the co-owner was DISHONEST. I have lost $110 to this business because the co-owner took my gift cards after my services. read more

On 11/22/2024- I went in as a walk in to repair a broken nail. The receptionist that was there asked me if I got them done there. And who did them. I told her nobody from their salon did my set. She said that they can't repair the nail. I was flabbergasted that I was turned away!! Any reputable nail salon can fix a nail!! So I walked out without my nail being attended to. As a Valentine's Day gift, my girlfriend gifted us the "VIP pedicure" at V Spa. We made a weekend reservation and took the 35 minute trek to Maryland. V spa is located in a plaza so there was a decent amount of parking. Once we arrived, we were guided to the VIP suite, which is in a private wing. This suite included snacks, juice and even the toilet in the bathroom was automatic. The entire experience was excellent: the massage chair, the pedicure, the hot towel treatment on your legs, followed by a short 5 minute massage at the end. V spa gets my highest recommendation! I'll drive back for this same experience maybe twice a year. My only suggestion is that they open a door or get more ventilation, because the fumes from the manicures were very strong in the main area. read more

This is was my first time trying them and I am VERY pleased! I came in at about 7P and they were only able to accommodate polish changes since they were closing at 8P, but I was okay with that. My tech was Nina and she was really sweet. I was honestly skeptical because most places aren't the most friendly especially when they're closing, but Nina was pleasant. She was patient with me as I chose my colors and even gave me a little razzle dazzle. I will surely be back to have the full experience with her! Now has a little bit of background I've been going to V Spa since before V Spa even existed I used to go to Jimmy and KV when they owned a nail shop across from Best Buy 9 to 10 years ago! Since they open V Spa I have been a loyal customer to them to include bringing my 18-year-old daughter, my sister, my niece, my mother my ex husband and friends and family. So needless to say I have been extremely foolishly loyal and spent thousands upon thousands of dollars a year at this establishment for many years ! Today I called regarding an appointment I was supposed to have with Peter at 1 PM which I made on September 20, 2022 even though I had a bad experience last time I made appointments all the way through December. Now no one has bothered to email me nor text me to tell me that my appointments were canceled even though they have an automated system instead they did sneaky underhanded shit and just deleted all of my appointments without notifying me. Wow what a lack of honesty and a lack of professionalism. The sad part is I truly love KV as a person and I used to adore Jimmy and Peter but clearly it shows that they Jimmy doesnt care about loyalty and will be rude to you and dismiss you as soon as you piss them off or leave a bad review. I went in today for a pedicure and gel x fill in and I will NEVER go back. When I arrived I sensed my nail tech SUSAN had an attitude bc her body language. When I finally got in the chair for my fill in is when it went left. She was rude and aggressive to the point where I had to report her to the manager. She must have been bothered bc I didn't give her a tip the last time I was there but what needs to be understood is that a tip is not required but earned. For me, I will never accept poor customer service for anything I'm paying my money for so if you go to this place don't go to SUSAN, especially being she will continuously give you gel x fill in when you're only suppose to get one fill in then a new set to keep them from breaking. Found this place after visiting a nail salon close by. Glad I did. Social distancing is enforced. Hand sanitizer available. Clean. Comforting atmosphere. My nail tech was Kathy. Mrs. Kathy is what I call her now. She was nice and gentle with my cuticles. Pedicure felt amazing. Didn't want it to end. She cleaned up my eyebrows. I always have a tear or 2 fall when getting eyebrows waxed. Because I'm a big baby. Not this time. I got my first fill in after getting a silk wrap full set a few weeks ago. And I love my nails. Love this spot. It was highly recommended to me from neighbors in my community. I've been here twice not, each time for a deluxe pedicure. Each time, I was a walk-in and I was taken quickly. I went for a fill in and a pedicure January 12, 2025. I'm an African American woman and I have eczema. So my skin can me problematic in the winter. I came in and chose a nude/pink color, they asked me am I sure because of how dry my skin looked in their opinion. I didn't moisturize my feet because I was going in for a pedicure. I insisted, and the pedicure was okay until she started painting my feet. She did a horrible job. Didn't ensure the color was even on the nail. There were dark spots in my polish. Then she lead me to have my toes dry while I waited for someone to be ready to do my nails. I waited while multiple people passed by me, watched multiple conversations and stares. Honestly I was so uncomfortable I paid and left. I'm tired of dealing with this when you are in MY community and I am spending my hard earned cash on this. 10.08.2023 Today I got a fill-in and a pedicure. Ellen gave impeccable service on my fill-in. and Angel gave a great pedicure. I didn't realize that Angel does not speak English well and there was an obvious miscommunication between regular polish and gel. I usually get regular and that is what I said. However, Angel used the gel on my toes as a part of my pedicure. I didn't realize it until I got the bill. I didn't have time for them to change the polish. I paid for the services. It was amazing and I enjoyed it. However, when I told Jimmy, the guy at the front desk, that I requested regular polish, his actions, tone, and the way he handled the issue were very off-putting, to say the least. He told me that Angel would have to "change the polish". But unfortunately, I did not have time. The way he said it and handled it made me feel like he felt I was lying. I paid the bill and even gave Ellen and Angel a 20% tip. I will continue to use this salon because of the service. I have not received poor service yet. However, I will avoid Jimmy - at all costs. When I tried to give him Angel's tip, he would not extend his hand so I dropped it in front of him and asked him to give it to her. He then called me rude. Damaged my toenail. Went for a manicure and pedicure. Nail tech was pushy about pricier services and gel nails. I went with a basic pedicure and was rushed through. I requested a classic mani pedi. The technician Kayla used a electronic nail tool to file down the nail bed without buffing the nail. This left ridges on the nail bed. I brought this to her attention and she had no clue as to what I was requesting the technician next to her station had to explain it to her. I was so disappointed that this business has a nail technician whom can't even do a basic nail service. Next, I advised the technician I would not have her do my manicure. However, I was asked which services I wanted to which I stated dip powder and pedicure. Upon doing my pedicure I pointed to the scented "chocolate" pedicure which I did not receive.
