I called a few days prior to schedule an appointment at 10:00am for a full set and pedi. I walk in at 9:58am and there's a line forming to talk to the front desk. Some were walk-ins and some were appointments. When it got to me, I told him I had an appointment for a full set and pedi at 10:00am and he directed me to the tablet to complete check-in. I found my name and appointment time but it still asked me to pick my services. I picked both things I needed. The two women in front of me were ushered to their spots. I waited to the side. A few minutes later, a nail tech in the middle of the floor in the waaaay back waived in my direction. I looked around before pointing to my chest and asking if she meant me. She nodded and waived for me to come over. She asked if I didn't remember her from last time, and I replied "It's my first time here.. Nobody really explained to me who I was going to work with. They only asked me to check in and I waited for further instructions." She apologized. Super kind, social, and funny nail tech. Love love love that she can hold a conversation down cause I can be a yapper. She for sure uplifted my mood after being confused. Halfway through my set, she asked what I had planned for the rest of the day. I told her "To get my toes done, too." She immediately spoke with someone and asked if I wanted to get em done at the same time. I told her I did and she reminded me that I had a lot of power in decided to do both at the same time. I appreciated it, but let her know that in general, as a new customer I felt lost because the front desk didn't help clarify who I'd be working with or confirm what I wanted done despite that I told them what I needed verbally and I selected the same things on the tablet. My In-laws live in the area and my MIL and I like to get pedicures done when my husband and I visit. This past Saturday, I went on my own and got my nails done. When I went in, they recommended builder gel to me, despite never using it before I said okay since they recommended it. By Sunday evening, when I returned home (which is over an hour and a half away), I noticed my new nails were already peeling of my natural nails. I did some research on builder gel and realized it is not something you can soak off with acetone, which is something I was not made aware of. On Monday morning, I called to let them know about my nails. The only remedy they told me was for me to come back (they have a no refund policy, which I was unaware of because out of every time I've been there I've not seen the sign they apparently have), I informed them that I was unsure when I could come back because I am in full time school, I work, and I'm the mother of a 3 month old and I live over and hour away and returning would waste my gas and my time (which is very precious to me for I am incredibly busy and want to spend time with my daughter.) I made them aware of this and the fact that I'm not sure when I'd be back in town to visit, the response was that when I came back they "would look at my nails". Which I then tried to explain would be either grown out or ripped off by then which is not healthy for my nails. It was repeated that my only remedy was to return. I am providing pictures of what my nails looked like after 1.5 days as well as a fuzz/hair under the polish, and the other issues I experienced during this session. I want to be very clear, that I understand that they have this no refunds policy. However, I do think that a business who cares about their customers and their satisfaction for services they paid for (I personally paid 86$ for these nails) would have some exceptions or other options (maybe a store credit). But since they won't, I am just trying to ensure that no one else ends up in the place I am currently, which is find someone else to remove my builder gel and pay them additional money when I spent nearly 100$ on these nails less than 3 days ago. I personally will not be back which is unfortunate because my mother in law and I loved going together.
