I found out about Vacation Ownership Consultants from watching a YouTube video on how to get rid of your timeshare. I decided to give them a call. Let me make one thing clear very fast just in case you decide not to read all of my review...., if your desire is to get rid of your timeshare contact VOC, they will get the job done...end of story! Now at this point there is no way I can remain CALM about sharing the experience that I had with all of the staff at VOC. Wendy is my favorite because she kept me informed every step of the way. This company is NO JOKE. They REALLY delivered an amazing outcome for us and their prices (price is based on YOUR case so there is NO way I can tell you what you will pay) are very affordable compared to the mess we got ourselves in. We got ourselves in a financial MESS sitting at that timeshare presentation table just like I'm sure you did since you are reading this review. I couldn't believe how short of a time frame it took to get it done (do FULLY understand each case is different). I called VOC on July 13. 2018 to ask questions about their services and I kid you not by Sept 21, 2018 we no longer owned the timeshare. I wanted to get out of a timeshare I had with GEVC, powered by RCI points system. I had the membership for 10 years and rarely used it due to difficulty in finding quality properties to use in the time periods that worked for my family. It took about 6 months from signing up for VOC's (Vacation Ownership Consultants) services to getting final notice that GEVC accepted my surrender of membership. GEVC took the timeshare back and released me from any and all future liability, concluding that it was in their best interest to do so due to VOC's efforts and by my steadfast refusal to pay. I had received calls and mail from other companies offering the same service as VOC offered. I knew I should look into this, but I procrastinated. I came across VOC representatives at a home and garden show and set up an appointment with them. I had to bring the details of my timeshare membership to the appointment so that VOC knew exactly what they would be dealing with. At the meeting the process was outlined, the fee for services was revealed and I was assured that it wouldn't be a problem to get me out of the timeshare. I had relatively low annual maintenance dues with GEVC and annual membership points fees for RCI. The cost of VOC's service was about 4-5 times my annual dues/fees. I don't know how this price compares to others out there, but I decided this was worth the cost if they could get me out of a lifetime of annual dues/fees. We met VOC at a Home Show in Phoenix, a while ago, and although we were in an agreement with another company, to rid us of our timeshare, however, after $4000 plus being expended, we decided to check out a local (Scottsdale) company and see what they had to offer. We met Jeremy, and went through all the paperwork necessary from our end, and although we gave a deposit, with the balance due upon completion, and kept our fingers crossed! A number of months went by, and via calls to Jeremy, all of which he responded to, we were advised that it was getting closer and closer. It finally did, and we obtained ALL necessary paperwork to prove that we were out of our timeshare, and had our name removed from the documents in the local government agency on Cape Cod, that spelled out our membership in a Timeshare. WE ARE OUT OF IT, AND BOY; DOES IT FEEL GOOD. I offered to submit reviews anywhere they would be of help to them, and here I am offering a 10+ out of 10 rating for this company and Jeremy doing exactly what we were told they would do, in relatively short time. It was about a little over a year from our initial engagement. I notified that other company in CA, and requested my refund because they could not deliver, and long story short, they informed me that there would be NO REFUNS coming because I broke our agreement, and did something by myself (with VOC). As you know the timeshare industry can be incredibly shady and manipulative and that is what we found out after purchasing our Westgate Timeshare in August 2017. The maintenance fees went up immediately after we purchased and we found it incredibly difficult to trade in our week for another week that we could actually use. After falling for a resale scam, that never worked, we were reluctant to give anyone else any money in the hopes of getting out of our timeshare. Where do I start? From day 1, Kyle was our great informative representative that helped us better understand where we are currently to where we will be between 6 months to a year. He did not pressure us into working with this company. He only provided insight on what the company does and their success rate. Wendy is the financial representative that we worked with throughout the process. She was very helpful and understanding throughout the processs. Her team and she was very patient every time we called about an update on our case. They did not make me feel like I bothered them too much. I ususally would reach out to their team every 2 to 3 months for an update whether via email or phone. Even during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, I still felt like my timeshare case mattered. VOC is a company you can trust to get out of your vacation time-share. We had our paid-in-full vacation ownership for twenty years but our daughter did not want to inherit it. The company told us we had to purchase more shares and use those points to cover the annual fees because inheriting it was not an option. Instead, we put our trust in VOC. My wife and I hired VOC to terminate our contract with two timeshare properties. We were paying out over $2,000 each year for the maintenance fees.
