So happy I completed my ballot online and printed it @myfaithvotes It was easy peasy voting at the poll tonight!!

While I am unable to review this venue outside of a polling precinct, I can say that the two times I've been there, the grounds have been immaculate and the landscape a lulu. I can only imagine how nice they keep the rooms and the common areas inside. If I was a tourist, or someone needing a place to stay for a couple of days for a game or a concert at the BB&T, for instance, or maybe that someone traveling for business, or to visit family and didn't want to impose; this would be the place I would make reservations at for two or three days--maybe even a week's stay.

The pool area in early evening. A great time for a swim.

We had a very pleasant experience at Vacation Village. We stayed with friends in Pembroke Pines the first two nights of our vacation, and then finished off the week at VV, Weston. We booked those days last minute, on a cancellation, and we're thrilled we were able to get in anywhere, as it was mid-spring break time. True, Weston is not Ft. Lauderdale or Miami, but we found those places to be within easy reach, as well as a day trip we took down to Key West, and one up to Jupiter for a look at Marlins spring training. It was a great locale: slow when you wanted to be away from the action, but close enough to the action that a night on the town was easily within reach. We really liked our space. It was modern with a fully stocked kitchen, and HUGE bathroom, which included a deep jacuzzi tub just off the bathroom of the master suite. We also took advantage of the wonderful pool area on a few occasions. Our interactions with the staff, found them to be friendly and helpful at every turn. My one negative comment was that I was charged twice (once by RCI, and once by the resort) for maintenance and usage fees, and I am still sorting out who owes me a credit. But overall, I really liked the place, and felt it offered great access to all that South Florida has to offer. I would return in a heartbeat.

We visited vacation village, the flamingo units through the in-law's timeshare. Had a wonderful time!! Right off the bat they were accommodating to bringing our dog. 125$ fee with a 250$ deposit, which sounds like a lot but my dog is very well behaved and will not destroy anything. $125 for the week is nothing compared to boarding fees not to mention peace of mind, having her with us. We stayed in the suite A units. Highly recommended. Huge king bed, large living quarters, giant kitchen. Bathroom had a double headed shower head. Best part was the jetted hot tub in the room! Patio was lovely, looked over the lake on the golf course. Staff very friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about this place. We loved it! Not too much to do in weston itself, best recommendation is Markham park. 5min drive away. Bring your mtn bike and walking shoes. Great BIG dog park. Just bring proof of rabies vaccination. Fort Lauderdale is close, plenty to do and a beautiful beach. This place deserves 5 stars solely for the relaxation it brings!

Arrived to the hotel to check in early. Which they permitted as our room was ready prior to the scheduled time. Immediately came to the room and was greeted with the most grossly outdated and unkept suite. After being told MULTIPLE TIMES this was a five star award winning resort. That was false. Service I Called "0" from the room phone and requested extra bedding for the pull out bed on the couch. No one came for 4 hours ! AFTER calling EVERY hour. I simply walked down there. Grabbing the blankets myself. I informed the team at the front of my frustration and was they stated we are just "busy". Okay fair we get busy at times. Dismissed it i just wanted to have a fun filled relaxing family vacation. Until it happened two other times. Again when I needed a plumber and another when my door on the patio wouldn't open. The frustration of another 3-7 hour wait. Doing it myself would have saved me time. Plumber came and just let himself in. No knock no nothing. Just oh hello! Already standing in the living room. Accommodations Now the room, The pull out bed! The pull out bed! Was atrociously uncomfortable we had to get take the second one off the other couch to make it make sense. The regular beds i stripped all the bedding off and rewashed everything and disinfected you could tell it was dirty. BLUE light reveals EVERYTHING. The kitchen has a stove OR hot plate depending on your room, stainless steel fridge , and basic cutlery. Entertainment Okay let's get into the pool. It's a pool ! Volleyball net in one with a tiny pool for the kids. The special guest of iguanas casually being in the water! yeah I said in the water! I have never swam so fast in my life all I knew is i needed out of that water. Oh yeah you get can a sugar water lime watered down lemonade. burnt coffee basically mud water complimentary in the "Smoothie Bar ". Words of advice simply don't. Take a run to the store , you'll thank me later. Oh wait if you're still here the entertainment was bingo. You play $5 to play and winners take the money in multiple segments. That was cool. Yes the kids played too. Food There's a bodega store called the tropical cafe the lady at the cashier ( older woman) very sweet truly enjoyed her and her store being priced appropriately for this location. The chicken empanadas were good as a poolside snack. Ah phew! Okay i believe i covered it all! Good luck! If you stay here i wish you the best. After this review I look forward to the commentary from the owner or p.r management team. To discuss future opportunities and this visit. At that time I will update my review.

When we returned, we really settled in and checked out the room. I wish I took a detailed picture but the first odd thing was the shower door. There was only half, with the other half completely open. We took our dog out for a walk and I found a dying baby bird on the ground in the parking lot, which I was unable to save and did not sleep well that night. I mention that because when we were leaving upon checkout, there was a different dead baby bird right outside the side door of the hotel. The air conditioning was not cold enough and it definitely felt humid at times. When we were showering, water flooded the bathroom because of the one door. Then the air conditioning unit was leaking water/ condensation really bad so we put all our used towels there to soak it up. The coffee machine in the lobby was a nice touch, and the pool area was clean and staffed. There is only one pool and a very small hot tub though, so it gets crowded quickly. The location is convenient. Weston Town Center is directly across the street with a Publix and several restaurants, although most were on the expensive side. There really isn't much nearby for nightlife. We eventually found Flanigan's toward the end of our trip and enjoyed the casual atmosphere, reasonable prices, and music. Unfortunately, the rooms themselves were disappointing. The entire Addison area had a strong old, musty smell -- almost like walking into an antique store. By the time we got home, all of our clothes and belongings smelled the same way. The decor and furnishings felt extremely outdated, like they hadn't been updated since the 1990s. Think "Golden Girls" style decor, but heavily worn from years of use. We had Units A and B. The king bed in Unit A was very hard and uncomfortable. The bed in Unit B was a full-size bed, not a queen as expected. The air conditioning seemed locked around 68 degrees and still felt warm at times. Thankfully we brought fans, which helped make it manageable. Then there's the timeshare presentation. We attended the advertised 90-minute sales pitch for the promised $175 incentive. The pricing started around $40,000 and eventually dropped to about $8,000 after repeatedly saying no. Maintenance fees were quoted around $1,400 per year, and ownership only guarantees one week per year at the same location and room type. Overall, the staff and location were the highlights, but the outdated and musty accommodations made it difficult to fully enjoy the stay.

Then checked out the pool, it was empty when I was there with pitchers of cucumber and lemon water. I could tell the cucumber wasn't being replaced so while it was cold it wasn't the best for a spa. Also no tea anywhere I went but maybe that was just my experience. I did enjoy the yoga and pool alot. The reason I am giving less stars is because of actually a few reasons. The sauna area in the women's locker room was filled with very loud people who even talked inside the sauna. It was very un-zen like. I think the spa should make sure the areas that people are using are quiet. Also, there is a small room in the back of the locker room with a couch and a chair but it's very small and has no tea and there was a garbage can keeping the door open. That said, the ceiling of the room with wooden planks and the music was very peaceful. For a day pass it can be a good deal to do yoga and relax at the pool but I wouldn't come here for a full on spa experience the treatments looked very expensive for and place that is not super high end, it's nice but not that exclusive or luxurious to warrant such high prices. I actually enjoyed my experience other than the loud women and minor issues. Adding more yoga classes on the weekends would probably bring more people here. This Double Tree is located on Sunrise Blvd in Sunrise Florida. It is right across the street from the Sawgrass Mills Mall which is in walking distance. Guest services here has been hit or miss in the past and this visit was no exception. I reserved two rooms and my room went without incident. I reserved both rooms for a two day stay. For some reason, they checked my guest out of their room and had them recheck in. No explanation was given and I only found this out after leaving the hotel when I received extra charges to my credit card. When I called the hotel, their remedy was to send me the invoices and have me figure out what charges were wrong. When I looked on the Hilton app where I reserved the rooms and paid, they had altered my reservation so at that point I had no idea what the original charges were. Since I don't work there, and I can't see what the original charges were, I have no idea how I am supposed to figure out how to make sense of any of the emails they sent. The person who I talked to on the phone was apologetic, but the remedy was not satisfactory. To make it worse, this is not the first time I have had a similar problem with this specific location. I would have given 1 star, but am giving 2 because I had had a problem before and didn't learn from my mistake. I promise I won't be making the same mistake again.

For example outdoor grills at hotels are typically disgusting but this one was not only huge but very clean. The breakfast was wonderful and they had everything from fresh fruit to warm dishes, waffles, and so forth. The pool wasn't as warm as we had hoped for but nonetheless, it was used by all. I didn't love that the water cooler in the gym wasn't filled the entire time we were there, so I finally asked on the last day.

The hotel is literally next to Sawgrass Mills, which makes it very convenient if you're planning to…read moredo outlet shopping. Free parking is also a plus! I want to shoutout Elizabeth (supervisor?), who really went above and beyond. She helped cancel and rebook our room over the phone and arranged a complimentary upgrade for us as a Gold Elite member, and guaranteed a late checkout. She handled everything very seamlessly and made the whole process completely hassle free. Kelly was also very helpful in extending our stay for an extra day and allowing us to remain in the same room. My only complaint is that the hotel lacks a few basic amenities such as Q-tips, robes and slippers. Disappointing... Housekeeping also tends to come quite late in the afternoon, usually after 2 pm. Otherwise, everything was decent.

Took a crack at this three year old AC Hotel bar at the Colonnades Outlets. The bar was dead and…read morehappy hour was over at 7pm but we viewed the drink menu and wanted to order a cold Funky Buddah draft beers but the oddly quiet bartender advised that all the co2 was out and only the domestic bottle beers were available - bummer. OK, so I ordered a Samuel Adam's bottle beer for $7.00. The lounge area surrounding the bar is classy and provides comfy seating for gatherings. There is an outside patio with a plethora of couches and tables for relaxing just a bit too humid tonight. We decided to take the elevator to the 8th floor event patio which overlooks the Fort Lauderdale and Sunrise skyline and allows an unobstructed view of the multi-colored illuminated Hard Rock Hotel. The current room prices are $189.00 and only five have balconies. The continental breakfast is $16.00. The fitness center is open 24 hours although there is not a pool on the property. This hotel provides a perfect location for international tourists on vacation.
