More Sandwich Options! Recently first time ordered the "Turkey Sandwich." On Vace's freshly baked Focaccia Bread. Tasty sandwich all fresh ingredients: particularly the sliced turkey breast, provolone cheese, onions, tomatoes & banana peppers. Courteous Customer Service. See Photos.

Roll is a little tough but makes up for it in zestiness of toppings and tender Italian meats that shred in your mouth. The amazing thing is this costs as much as a normal subway sandwich. Great bang for your buck.

I want to WARN others about this place & their CUSTOMER service! (Mainly about this 1 particular person! Light skinned, fairly Heavy set Woman, with hair in a bun!, who works the Cash Register at this place. Writing this in the car as I speak) She is ABSOLUTELY D**** RUDE!!! My Dad & I just actually Left there 3 minutes ago and I was so UPSET by how she spoke to me that I FELT an URGE to share my experience with you ALL! I was trying to FILL out their sandwich forms they have near the counter! And I was confused at first,(Keep in mind I'm somewhat slow to understand sometimes and have some hearing loss in the right ear) I handed the sandwich form to her, she then said I had to fill out 1 form for each sandwich I wanted! So did the forms again, (while she was yelling at me & being LOUD, so others could hear she was ANNOYED & IRRITATED at me!) she then proceeded to tell me basically I had DONE it WRONG! And took the 2 forms and balled them up in her hand, and with a HARSH glare and SNAPPY ATTITUDE she proceeded to take 2 more sandwich forms and filled them out herself! Making me Feel QUITE embarrassed and angry by the way she was treating me and my Dad (who's 83 and has hearing loss too). She DIDN'T say thank you or have a good day! But it's NOT the place it's self or the Food, that I'm giving this 1 star ! It BECAUSE of how RUDE & NASTY that lady was to me and my Dad! I've BEEN coming to Vace's since I was young! And I ALWAYS loved their Pizzas & Food! Everything there is Wonderful and Tastes great! I Can't Tell you NOT to go because I wouldn't do that! But I can WARN you to be careful if you walk in and Get rang up by that 1 cashier there! She's COMPLETELY RUDE & knows it & Isn't afraid to express her TRUE feeling about you & if u annoy her! She was JUST unbelievably MEAN & RUINED my happy experience at Vace! And after ALL that she did & acted like! She still DIDN'T get my order right! My second sandwich was supposed to be "Turkey" instead they just made us 2 "Italian Sandwiches" ‍ (least the sandwiches taste good!)

HIDDEN GEM ALERT Vace has a following and I was just recently introduced to the establishment. It's a hole in the wall on a back alley in Bethesda but damn they know how to make a delicious sub! I entered and followed the instructions to fill out my order on a piece of paper. I ordered the Fresh Mozzerella sub with choice of fresh or sundried tomatoes. I chose fresh but quickly learned they were out today. The sandwich was prepared and I was out the door. The white paper wrapping my sub was covered in delicious oil as I walked back to my office. My desk, my hands, my face covered in oil in the best way possible. The sandwich is messy but worth it! I was too excited to take a picture before I dove in. Picture features half a sandwich. I'm excited to return to try more items including the pizza and frozen pastas to take home.

This isn't an ordinary pizza spot! Their pizzas are centered around Asian cuisines (think Indian, Thai, etc. and spices!) and they have a lot of other non-pizza options too. We tried their Tandoori Chicken, Palak Paneer, and Hawaiian Pizza with a side of Masala Fries. Hubs is a classic pizza kinda guy and even he enjoyed the tandoori chicken. Pizzas weren't overly "wet" with topping and sauce and the "toppings" were perfectly made? (Is that even a description for the heavenly sauce that they make?) It was well-sauced and seasoned! I watched the gentleman running the front hold doors open, politely greet, and thank Every customer, even DoorDash and Uber drivers. That alone should be why you visit! When I left, I just asked for a couple napkins since I didn't see any and he sent me off with a generous handful of napkins And plates! Thank you M&N! We will definitely be back!!

Our waiter was very nice and we were not real interested in appetizers. The bread they offer is so fresh with a wonderful crust. My colleague ordered garlic bread, but I'm not a fan of that. I ordered the shrimp Parmesan. we had the veal piccata ordered by another person, two lasagnas and more real dishes. Every dish was exceptional flavorful and well made. I'm sorry to see that their express store closed but it's still great to see They are open on Cordell Avenue. Definitely a must visit.

DO NOT GET THE CARBONARA!…read more (I was craving carbonara tonight) I got the - -Spaghetti carbonara -veal francese -garlic bread -small side of parmigiana cheese Prices were somewhat high Portions were medium The carbonara was very bad. Completely solidified when I tried to eat it I stuck my fork into it, and the whole thing pulled out of the container at once stuck together. It has a bunch of caramelized in it, some of which were burnt. You can visually see solidified, egg yolks, and egg whites. This is the worst carbonara I've ever had in my life (I've eaten carbonara hundreds of times) The veal francese was very good, crispy, flavorful, and had 1/4 a lemon to squeeze on it. The butter pasta it came with was good as well. The garlic bread was ok, large raw chunks of garlic on top of oiled toast. The small side of parmigiana was good, good cheese quality and more than I thought I would get. Keep in mind I did get this delivered. I called the restaurant and told them about the order. And they said to call them next time I order and they would see what they can do. I have to say they have good service. And I have nothing to say as far as ambience.

What an amazing lunch!…read more I'll start by saying I have been to Olazzo before, but today's lunch was special. I was introducing my girlfriend and my mom to each other. The host was so friendly and helped get us seated in a booth, and very shortly after seating we were greeted by our server Josh. Josh was very polite, and I felt good vibes before the food ever hit the table. He recommended their special, a trout on pasta dish. The entree had a very generous portion of fish, and our server made sure to drop off everything we needed to accompany our food, extra cheese, water refills, he was attentive and took great care of us. Next time I dine at Olazzo, I'm going to be looking for Josh!

Sunday February 15th 4:00pm…read more I normally don't include personal feelings when reviewing. This is an exception. We were in the area and decided to try this spot. Hostess, gentleman who seated us, and our server were wonderful. The food wasn't the best ever but it was good. We decided to give it a shot despite low customer ratings. We are Black Americans. When we walked in I picked up on a negative vibe but dismissed it. When you walk into a small establishment and it get's quiet or you get the looks turn and no one speaks turn around and leave. There were a few people at the bar chatting up staff (regulars). As we walked by the bar headed to the table I glanced over to the what clearly was the person in charge. I smiled no response. We eat, I head to the ladies restroom. I passed the same gentleman who, again looked directly at me, I smiled and he turned his head. I passed by him on the way back to the table. I specifically looked him the face and smiled. He looked at me and again turned his head blatantly. We are aware of prejudice so I didn't let him get under my skin. I smile and speak to anyone and am happy to do so whether it is reciprocated. It takes negative energy to be mean spirited. Willing to take our money but refuse to acknowledge us as paying customers. We spent quite a bit for two people. I will not recommend this place if it was the last Italian restaurant. To the owners- I could not tell if you were the person I encountered today or a manager. Either way- Just Wow.

The crust is burned in some places and undercooked in others, like it couldn't decide which level of failure to commit to. The toppings are a random mess--onions tossed like someone sneezed them on, olives rolling around like loose change, and sad green peppers that look more boiled than baked. Half of the pizza looks like it gave up halfway through cooking, and the other half looks like it survived a house fire. Pepperoni? Barely there. Cheese? Patchy. Sauce? Overpowered by bitterness from the charred crust. Honestly, this isn't a pizza--it's a crime scene in a cardboard box. If you want to know what disappointment tastes like, order this. Otherwise, save your money and your dignity. I don't even know if I'd try this again if it was free. -A Pizza Connoisseur

My family and I are always looking for a new pizza spot to try and AP was the right place and the right time. I'll talk about the space for a minute. It's a small pizza place. It's not meant for groups. They have maybe four or five tables. This is more of a quick bite or grab a slice at the counter before the movies kind of place. If I can wrap up the vibe and the decor in three words, I would use modern, hipster and clean. I kind of dug the feel. It has a tiny bit of grit to it and that's more than I can say for most of Bethesda. So because we started with a group of four eventually joined by my brother-in-law's family of four, we ended up squeezing about eight people into a small booth. This was by choice. But they were accommodating. I wouldn't recommend this place for groups, but the service was outstanding and it felt like an A+. Here what stood out from our order. They have mixed drinks on their menu and if you have an old-fashioned on your menu, I'm going to try it. I really enjoyed mine. The focaccia bread with garlic butter was incredible. I highly suggest you try that if you're gonna come in. Of the two pizzas we got, I thought the plain pie was better than Tony's pie. Ordering food, whether you're sitting down or taking your food to go is also really easy. They have self-serve kiosks and I'm all for that. Back to the service, as I was ordering our food through the self-serve kiosk and the staff was more than happy to give their two cents or answer any questions about the menu. I don't have any real negative notes. I know I gave 4 stars, but there are no fractional ratings on Yelp, unfortunately. I would say somewhere around 4.25 was my gut score. I'll add that going to a restaurant one time does not paint a complete picture. I'll probably come back to try more items. I recommend you give it a try.
