About a week later I received a call from the tenants saying the door to the oven wasn't closing properly and the oven wouldn't maintain temperature. I called Appliance Geek back and left a voicemail explaining the issue; never heard back. Called back many times over the next week and left many more voicemails, still did not hear back. I visited the unit to see if I could fix it. The oven door hinges were bent - I assume done when pulling the range out from the wall. I've now had to replace the range and am out a significant amount of money. Poor experience and doesn't seem like they'll stand behind their work. Will avoid in the future.

Searching around Saturday morning, I found Joshua King (aka The Appliance Butler) with great reviews on Yelp and Nextdoor, so I called Saturday about noon. He came out Saturday early evening and diagnosed the problem quickly, but had to order a small part which wouldn't be in till Monday. Monday he came after all his other appointments at about 6pm and had my dryer working in just a few moments. The cost was even better than reasonable. He told me he tries to keep his prices down. Very nice, very polite and professional, excellent communication. I'm calling him first from now on.

In comes Mr. Dean Wylie to save the day, literally. He is prompt, friendly, fast, reasonably priced and most importantly honest. I was ready to buy a whole new set but unfortunately my pockets were not ready! Between repairing my washer and cleaning my dryer vents inside and out I'm good to go.

Red flags were written all over the place but we are just realizing them. So red flag no 1. We purchased an 125 Year Anniversary edition C3 Miele vacuum that were were very excited about. The owner was selling it for 699.99. Without realizing it , he was selling it for $50.00 more dollars from the MRSP of 649.99 on Mieles site (no sale keep in mind) However, after some negotiating, we were able to bring down the price by 25 bucks. We didn't realize this until we got home but I didn't mind, we payed a little more than 25 more from the MRSP and this was a local business so whatever. Unfortunately with this unit ; it was turning off at random times after 3 weeks of purchase. We checked the hose , filters etc etc. Nada . We didn't think a warranty swap was okay after such a short time with the machine. Technology fails which is understandable. So we called Vacuum Center right away and they said we could upgrade or outweigh other options. We decided to upgrade to the top of the tier (almost 1k more, a C3 Brilliant) since it was "on sale" for $100.00 less of the MRSP. Advertised as new and everything. We were able to get the price down to $150 less. What a great deal , right ? Well, when I see the box taken from the back , it looked a little off and used but I'm not going to question anyone (I should have). As you can see in these pictures , this is what I opened up after hauling an Uber to get this machine replaced. A machine with dog hair, ketchup stains and a damaged box. I immediately called them to inform them and the dude working the cashier acted brand new. HE KNEW this was a used item. At this point , I've had enough and just wanted all my money back and do business elsewhere where. They offered options but by the time I spent over 50 bucks in transportation and feeling weird about the whole transaction, I wanted nothing to do with them. Here's the KICKER. They charged me a 20% restocking fee for the original vacuum. I get there are policies in place but you just made me go though hell to be given a defective item and the second time around , a USED item. I had to Uber back with this used vacuum to get it returned . I asked if they had another Brilliant and they of course didn't. They said they can ship one out but no thanks. Don't try to put lipstick on a pig. Why would I want to do do business with them ? Oh and the high end Miele Brilliant is 100 less because it's freaking used!!!! Terrible experience and I suggest you look elsewhere. They are all smiles until you start unmasking some pretty disgusting business practices

He will also come by and pick up your vacuum in the general area. That was really convenient. His price was lower than others that operate out of a store front. He has no overhead for renting a store. His work is mobile. He replaced a belt on the vacuum and cleaned and tuned it up. The price was fair. Great turn around time for the job. Just a few days and it was done. Service with a smile. Alberto is just a nice honest hardworking guy. No 'sales talk' or attempts to sell you a new vacuum. Finally, he installs full home central vac systems in addition to repair work. I wish him the best!

He replaced the heat element without bring the door latch. Additional he said the finn has problem as well. He asked me to talk to the owner. I called Rayene and he said he told his worker not to fix the door because he needs to fix the finn first. What ? How he knows the finn has a problem ahead of time and not bring the door latch ? Sounds a scandal. He said he doesn't want to argue and refund my deposit. I agreed. Then he said he wants to charge the parts of fixing the heat element. I told me if his initial diagnosis was accurate and told me the dryer needs to fix heat element, dryer finn, door latch, I may decide to replace the new one instead of fix it. He is not professional enough to give accurate diagnosis. He is also not liable to bring the parts you ordered with deposit to the 2nd visit. I won't trust anything he says. I would give him 0 start if there is an option to prevent any victim in the future. After I left the review with one star, Rayene called to offer full refund. I said I saw the payment in pending. Soon he asked me to give him 5 stars review. I told him I will stated he did refund my money but I can not give him 5 stars review. Then he negotiated me to remove the review. I told him I won't do that because I would like to leave honest experience for other people who may need service. Finally he said "F**k you" and he will withdraw the refund back. Now you know what kind of service he could have offered !

And he explains how the machines work and what to look out for. Excellent service manner, always on time and they give you a call, without fail, 20 minutes before arrival. His father - who trained him in the business - answers the phone, does bookings, and discusses the issue. A great local family business.
