The strangest experience I have ever had at a salon. I was called 3 minutes after my appointment time, okay they are prompt, but I was like 2 minutes away. Once I arrived I sat and waited a short time, when a lady came out shook my hand and said "wash hair" then walked away. Another lady who seemed more adept at English showed me where to put my things at what appeared to be a dirty station. After standing for a bit she came out and ushered me into the hair wash area. The hair wash was overall fine, a bit aggressive, but okay. When done she said "go out". I walked to chairs, and the chair looked dirty so I asked for something to wipe it off with. Maybe this was offensive, but I don't feel I should have to sit in a dirty chair. Apparently it was stain from dye. I sat down and paper was put around my neck, new to me and very snug and uncomfortable. She then said "show me what you want", I showed her a picture she appeared to make a plan and then went to work. She appeared to work efficiently, however was aggressive and spoke to other people the whole time (perhaps 2 different languages?) My head was constantly jerked around while cutting my hair, meanwhile I am afraid that she is upset with me and I am going to leave with a horrible haircut. When she was done cutting and blow drying, she took off the cape and paper thing around my neck and walked away. She did not ask if it looked okay, see if I wanted to look at the back, say goodbye, give me instructions on how to pay... Only the other lady that helped me with my bag in the beginning helped me out while I stood speechless standing and not knowing what to do. I paid 35$ for the cut. My haircut thankfully looks nice. That being said, I likely wont be back due to the horrible customer service. Maybe it is better if you speak her language? I am not sure. I just know I am still confused by the experience. After searching for a long time, I found my salon. Lala is knowledgeable in both color and cut. For the first time someone cut my hair in a way that fits the texture so I can leave it wavy or blow dry straight. She fixed years of coloring gone bad. Thankful! read more

I found Valanciaga salon here on yelp. I saw the great reviews and decided to schedule an appointment. Even though Lala was booked she was able to squish me in. I got there and fell in love with the decor. Everything is so beautiful. I arrived and waited for a few min. I was greeted very friendly. My hair was somewhat dark and I wanted to go lighter. I asked her if it would be to difficult and she said no. I was excited, because other salons have told me it would require a few sessions. It took about six hours for my hair to be done. She made sure that the color was perfect and that my highlights looked even. I was so great full. I've had bad experiences where my highlights don't look even and I end up dying my hair dark. I am in love with my new hair! I've received so many compliments. Thank you so much for taking your time and making sure my hair looked perfect! I can't wait to go back. I have been to Valanciaga on three separate occasions now, and I have loved my hair every single time. The first time I went in for a touch up on my highlights for a lighter summer look. Lala's consultation and questions made sure my hair looked exactly how I wanted it. I had my hair washed and blow-dried by Lala for my daughter's baptism, and it was perfectly styled in the 95 degree weather for the whole day. The last time I went was for a trim and I got just that - it's so refreshing to have a stylist who knows to touch just the ends when you ask for a trim! After reading reviews I went to Lala to go from bleached blonde hair to ash brown with a bob haircut and I was blown away. Not only is she so personable and sweet, she did an amazing job.
