I found this salon on Groupon when I needed an emergency cut and highlights after trying to cut it myself. Jasmine was very sweet about working me in and did a great job on the haircut. The wash and condition was very relaxing. The full highlights were a little lighter than I had planned, but I didn't do a good job of giving her an example of the tone and she did a ton of coverage. All in all I had a great experience and many compliments on my new cut and color. The salon itself was very clean and newly remodeled. She offered me water and coffee and the coffee was excellent. When I called for an appointment, the lady was rude on the phone and grumbled at me about buying a Groupon. She was late to the appointment. I told her I was happy with the length, but she then cut it a bunch more, and it's completely uneven. I booked two appointments with her, and she passed my daughter off to an older lady that claimed she could do a wolf cut, but then said repeatedly that it's just long layers. New ownership = deceptive pricing. They advertise one price on their sign/menu, and then when you check out they quote a higher price. The sign says that men's hair cuts start at $29, the price that I have been paying since the last price increase a few years ago. I get my standard hair cut - an inch off the top and a number 4 on the sides, 20 minutes tops. I get to the register and the woman who cut my hair says $35. I look down at the sign and bring up the advertised $29 advertised price, but she makes some excuse about the new ownership increasing the price. However this sign was not left over from the last ownership, it's new, so I'm even more confused (and pissed). I have been going here since 2022, and if I was writing this review before the salon changed ownership, I would be rating it much higher, as my past experiences have been great. All of the ladies who previously cut my hair have been great and none of them pulled stunts like this. But today was a stylist that I've never seen before, and the bait and switch on the price left such a bad taste in my mouth that I now have to find a new hair cut spot. Oh well. To the ladies that were cutting my hair for the last few years, thank you so much, you always did a great job. And for what it is worth, the hair cut I got today was good, I just really hate deceptive business practices. read more

Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and stressful. I came in for a color service, and the stylist dyed my hair in a rush because she needed to leave. I asked for a total of 40 minutes, as my grey hair requires longer processing, but she firmly refused. After washing my hair, she handed me over to another stylist. As I suspected, my grey hairs were still visible, confirming the dye wasn't left on long enough. I called the salon the next day to explain the issue. I had already paid over $150 that day for the color and a blow dry. I requested to return so the stylist could fix her mistake, but she was unhappy about it. When I came back, I asked if she could blow dry my hair after correcting the color. She became upset and said it would cost an additional $50. But the day I came in initially I paid for blow dry and now having to dye my hair again it would ruin my blow dry. She should have corrected her mistake. During the service, she physically pushed my head while blow drying, causing me pain and anxiety. The blow dry lasted only five minutes, leaving my hair still wet, and when I questioned her, she yelled at me. At that point, I asked her to stop and left. This behavior--rushing a service, refusing to correct a mistake properly, and physically harming a client--is unacceptable. No one should experience this. I'm sharing this so that the salon can address this behavior and prevent it from happening to anyone else. I hope the salon takes steps to: * Ensure clients receive full services they pay for. * Properly handle corrections or issues caused by staff errors. * Hold staff accountable for respectful and safe client interactions. read more

I have been getting my haircut by Alice for a couple of years now and have never had a bad cut. And every time I go, Alice always tells me, if I'm not happy come back and she'll fix it. I brought my daughter in this afternoon as a walk-in for a trim. Her hair was so long she could sit on it. We agreed on 3 inches to be cut off. They cut about 7 inches. Once the first cut was made, I had to let them finish. I have an inconsolable teenager. She walked in with her so long she could sit on and now it is above her waist. Two days ago, after work I went to US Hair Cutters, I asked the lady if she can cut my hair and also color, since they were going to close at 6, and I got there after 5, so kind of her to take me in, great great customer service. Aida 1 since there is two Aidas, Aida 1 was the one who cut my hair and colored. Of course I was nervous, but she gave me good ideas and the result turn in grrrrrrreat I mean no kidding I have been so many salons, very very expensive ones, then tried other non expensive ones, still not that happy. After Aida's hair cut I have gotten so many compliments. Felt inspired by the fall season to go a few shades darker, so yesterday without appointment I went to US Hair Cutters & Beauty Supply and I'm just blown away with the result. I usually go there just to have my eyebrows threaded and a quick hair trim, however I was always encouraged to do coloring as well, I had my worries since the salon is so affordable and modest but since I wasn't bleaching my hair I thought why not giving a try...they seem very caring and knowledgeable. Just came back from getting a trim. I deliberated whether I should give a 3, but I found the pros outweighed the cons: Pros -plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon. Plus it's in a great area local to me (Magnolia Park, next to It's a Wrap, near Porto's, etc.) -cutting time was quick, pretty standard stylist-customer interaction. I never felt too awkward, and the lady (whose name I'm blanking on) was friendly and just the right amount of chatty. Plus, the establishment wasn't too quiet; there was a light chatter in the air and music playing -they seem to know their regulars pretty well and treat them well. I can see how they could expand that if I came often -layers were pretty standard, but just what I wanted -super cheap! Only $12 Cons -not exactly the most modern establishment (lots of older women or men/boys getting cuts). There was also an odd smell upon walking in. However the Top 40 station did liven up the place. -the cut itself was fine, but I asked for layers and I ended up getting a cut a tad shorter than what I wanted. The bangs were also much thicker and uneven than expected. Nothing I can't fix myself but I was really hoping for a simple bang trim that I didn't have to do anything -bits of hair allll over me afterwards. Super nitpicky, I know, but I never got it that much after going to other salons. Overall, the price and the basics won me over. I may return if I want a trim, but I'm not sure beyond that. read more

This is a good local spot for a quick trim or cleanup. There are about 4-5 stylists, all are pretty good for the most part. I've been going here for several years and have always been happy. Highly recommend for easy, basic cuts. I take my kids here, 3 yrs old-10 yrs old. My wife even started coming here between her appointments with her regular (very expensive) stylist at a local salon. Did not wet the hair, cut the hair soooooo short after telling her 3 times not to. Did not share the mirror to see the back of the hair either. She fixed the mess a previous over expensive "master hairstylist" (that's how he calls himself) working on the same street did on my hair. She understood immediately what I wanted, used the right tools, and fixed this so fast (15min)! I am very grateful for the service she provided and everything was so affortable. Don't judge a book by its cover, the place might not be as trendy as other places but I highly recommend it and will go back there for sure.
