I have been delayed in writing to about the exceptional care and service that you all provided my father (Herb Spiegel) during his tenure with your Corona property. Often I refer to VT as the Ship that never sails, meaning the fabulous care, excellent food, and beautiful setting of the facility - all combined are matched by the continual top notch personal touch of the employees - from the receptionist greeting visitors to the grounds keepers. All are focused on the "greatest generation". Dad loved VT and our family did too. Though he passed in December 2018, his home was VT. We have so many great memories of celebrating his 90th birthday in your facility; making sure our faith had a place to help those residents enjoy: Chanukah celebrations and Passover Seder, just to name a few. Your outreach to the business community, hosting a community Expo for your residents, involving our Chamber - we love these partnerships! Your community room, truly is open to the community as many small non-profit groups book this room regularly. Honoring and showing respect for our Veterans - hosting an annual Veterans Day event, and a Veterans organization of residents. Engaging members with singing talent - with a very enjoyable choir that provides various opportunities in entertaining guests. And I remember clearly, when Cello famed, Yo Yo Ma was scheduling his rapid paced tour through Corona, I reached out to VT and immediately you embraced my request, so your residents were a HUGE part of our partnership with the John F Kennedy Performing Arts in Washington DC as we rolled out the inaugural Arts Across America... yes, VT is Exceptional - and as I proudly share with others: If you only did one or two of these (examples outlined above) that would be enough or a wow factor - yet you all strive for excellence in all aspects of service! it was time to move my parents back down to California from Oregon to be closer to family and have a little more support. There was no comparison when I visited different places in the area. We moved my parents in with them only ever touring via facetime. It was a huge responsibility making this decision on their behalf and I hoped it would be a fit. I knew this would be a huge change for them as they have lived in their own home independently up until now. Tears as I write this...they are so joyful, excited for all the activities, enjoying this new season in ways I only hoped could happen! They cannot get over that everyone on staff knows their names and which apartment they live in. They continue to express how friendly everyone is and they in turn know everyone's names from the meal servers to the maintenance team and beyond. My mom has already been asked to teach them and lead a bunco group which she excitedly accepted. My dad has been enlisted to get the wood working shop organized and up and running. The staff has been a true gift to me as they have made Valencia Terrace home! Any hiccups we have had have been quickly resolved and handled with a professional and truly caring attitude. They have quickly made friends and my heart is at peace knowing this truly is the best environment and team of people for this season of my parents life. Our search for housing for my dad started in the spring of 2018. He had simple criteria: he did not want to cook every day, he wanted weekly housekeeping and he was looking for small square footage, as he had previously owned several large homes over the years and truly wanted to downsize. We narrowed our search to a few communities in Corona. My husband and I wanted to be close but still give him privacy and freedom. Valencia Terrace was our first choice and, after our initial visit, we were anxious to get the ball rolling. Stephen Pratt was our contact person and made the process seem easy and right. Stephen demonstrated all the features and benefits of living the lifestyle offered at Valencia Terrace. There was never any pressure and Stephen stayed in contact with us when a few issues arose that prevented us from moving forward at that time. When the timing worked for us, Stephen was gracious and understanding, with compassion demonstrated by a person beyond his years. Just as a side note, my dad is very particular about his meals, and after a complimentary lunch and conversations with residents, he feels that he will be living in a resort with a five star menu! My Mom was living in a community when a change of ownership occurred. While change is expected with new ownership, these changes no longer served her best needs. She started to look for a new independent living community closer to us in Corona and discovered Valencia Terrace. We worked with Karen over several months where she allowed us to visit and ask a million questions. We were impressed from the onset with how beautiful and well-kept the grounds are, the resort like pool area and how dog friendly the community is! We were also looking for a community with transportation to appointments and shopping. Mom moved in in March and everyone on staff is kind and friendly. She loves her in apartment washer/dryer and the two dog parks onsite at Valencia to take her dog and socialize with other residents and their dogs. The staff in dining, front desk, transportation, and maintenance have gone out of their way to be welcoming and friendly. They have a wonderful peer ambassador program to help residents navigate all there is to do and to learn how everything works. Karen, Dyan and Rafael as well as all the onsite staff helped us navigate a during-covid19 move in and transition into the community. I highly recommend Valencia Terrace a very friendly and active independent living community! read more

My mother recently chose to move into a one bedroom apartment at Valencia Terrace. We had toured approximately 7-8 communities prior to finding Valencia Terrace. With the exception of one (more expensive), Valencia Terrace was without a doubt the nicest one and offered the most for the money. Our family has been very impressed with the efficiency, organization, friendliness and cleanliness of the staff and the facility. My mother's apartment is beautiful as are the grounds and the entire facility. Valencia Terrace is hands down the most generous with their transportation services offered to their residents which was a big factor in our decision. Every room comes with a washer and dryer and (I believe) a balcony. My mother's balcony is huge! All and all, our family is very pleased with her decision. I also want to give credit to Stephen Pratt who was the person we met with initially. Stephen took us on our tour and explained everything about the facility. He was very nice, professional and not at all pushy. He has always been available by phone or text with any questions or concerns that I have had. I would highly recommend to anyone who may be looking for a safe, beautiful and clean home for their loved one to put Valencia Terrace on their list. You won't be sorry! read more

Our family has been so impressed and comforted by Valencia Terrace. My brother and I checked it out with my parents a few months ago when my dad's health went downhill, and we liked it a lot. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and classy, and immaculately kept. The representative, Stephen Pratt, who gave us the tour and answered our questions was and is very gracious and well-informed, but not pushy at all. The residents were friendly and several of them, as we passed by, greeted us with, "You'll love it here! I've been here (3) years and I love it!" Residents were also bustling around and doing various activities or just visiting in the beautiful foyer. We also visited one of the three dining possibilities and had a delicious fish meal. Since moving in my parents have been so happy and well-taken care of, and have been pleasantly surprised every time they go down to the dining room with the friendliness of other residents who introduce themselves and invite them to sit at their table and get to know them. My mother moved into her independent living apartment at Valencia Terrace the first part of this month from Emerald Court in Anaheim (another Kisco senior living). These apartments at Valencia Court are amazing. The staff here have been the best, they treat and speak to the residents here just like their own family (shoutout to Edgar, Karen, Nate and all of the lobby staff...we haven't gotten to know the rest of the staff yet but we are looking forward too it). The residents are so friendly, helpful, kind, and outgoing. For anyone looking for a place for themselves or a family member for independent living (I'm sure assisted living is just as good) this would be the place (it is a little pricey but worth it). Note: We moved my mom to Valencia Terrace from Emerald Court, to not only be closer to family. But, also due to the majority of the residents here are around the same age as my Mother. Also, the staff here seem to be much more organized and they don't treat the residents as if they all have major memory loss...when they don't. Valencia Terrace is a Great complex with Great residence and outstanding staff. read more

Recently, my 92-year-old mother moved into the "Assisted Living" section of Valencia Terrace in Corona, after living in the "Independent Living" section for the past nine years. Since Mom arrived in 2010, our family has been so grateful for the excellent design and maintenance of the facilities, the varied and welcoming activities, and for the professionalism of the Valencia Terrace staff. We were absolutely delighted when she was so warmly welcomed into the "Assisted living" section in 2019. The Environmental Services staff helped us clear out of Mom's old apartment and prepared every detail of her new studio apartment. The personal care, excellent monitoring, and attentive services have given Mom both security and joy. I can't say enough about how good the staff is at Valencia Terrace. We placed my mother there in July, 2019 and they kept a close eye on how she was adjusting. It was discovered within 2 months that she was declining rapidly and they moved her to Assisted Living in their facility. The Assisted Living staff were so responsive she was in excellent hands. Even though her decline was moving faster than any one expected they continued to work with me making sure she was well taken care of. I also can say that Pam, Laura and Jenn were wonderful throughout the entire time. My wife and I have lived at Valencia Terrace in Corona for over three years and we love it. In the years we were approching retirement and for several years after we retired we were advised by many friends that we should be proactive in deciding were we wanted to live when we got to the point that we wanted to "take it easy" and not heve to worry about maintaining a home and all of the work and expenses that went with it. We look at several different senior communities and none came close to offering what Valencia Terrace offers. My mom moved in when they opened in 2009 and stayed for 2 years. My family was so impressed with the lovely grounds, apartments, casitas and caring staff that I vowed I would move into Valencia Terrace when the time came. It took me 11 years, and my husband and I are now here mingling with other residents in a formal dining environment. Many residents have resided here for as long as 10 years and love it. The staff remains caring, the food is tasty and planned for a healthier diet. There are so many activities to choose from and a Wellness Center offers activities to remain fit. We have found amenities here that others do not offer; i.e. washer and dryer in each apartment. We are very happy to be here. read more

Valencia Terrace would be a good choice if you are looking for a place for a parent to move into. I moved my mom in there for more than five years. She loved it. I loved it because I knew that she was in a safe environment. The facility is so clean, and the staff welcomes all the residents. There are many activities that the residents can get involved in. The team keeps the residents physically and mentally active. My mom passed, and as a psychology student, I went back and did my field hours there. It was a great experience working with the staff and interacting with the residents. I suggest this facility to anyone. Top rated! read more

A few years ago I was looking for a community that would be able to provide extra care for my dad. I came across this one and was instantly struck with the photos and the beauty of the building. When I thought of senior living this is not what I envisioned. It's not what you're shown in movies, but much more. Fast forward a few years and I was invited to an event at this community and was so impressed! The extra time the staff takes to make sure the residents enjoy their experience in the community is so nice to see. Valencia Terrace had their Casino night fundraiser. This was my first time going to Valencia Terrace,the front entrance so beautiful well maintained and serene. Inside the Terrace lobby people having fun playing blackjack, roulette and craps playing with the house chips. The staff had beverages and delicious treats. The beef Wellington was fantastic. The fundraiser provided nonprofit gifts with special items, if your tickets were picked from the drawing. I had a fun time meeting with other members and would enjoy doing that again. read more

My parents lived at Valencia Terrace for nearly a decade and loved every minute. They participated in the activities and programs offered and appreciated the wonderful staff.
