Went in for 30k service i scheduled online they tried to tell me I didn't... then guy comes up to me to tell me warranty expired no details nothing so I'm like there no way my warranty expired already I was right it didn't only the maintenance one which was done after 20k either way prior to this at 14,000 my rear pads and stuff were replaced due to a a defect by VW now 16,700 miles later I'm getting told they are 0mm and need to be replaced the women tried to tell me I never had them replaced and instead of explaining this she just said yeah they just make them soft she was just honestly not all there it seemed I would have had no issue fixing this there had she explained more to me but nope trash service... so here we are now at Harte Volkswagen getting my brakes done and getting a life time warranty so I will never return to Watertown Volkswagen Valenti truly CRAP service. read more

Check your free service end dates for service. Was only told at time of purchase you have a 10k, 20k, and 30k service included in your purchase and no mention of end dates on it so came in for my 30k service and since wife was pregnant she didn't have the miles on the car to do the service in DEC 2025 and now it is May 13th 2026. That is their way to charge you $160 plus tax for just the oil Change but they also got out of doing the brake fluid flush and transfer case and wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount to do that now after it should Of been free. I asked if anything could be done because I was never told on that there was end dates and no notification on that was coming to an end. I ask there is nothing you can do like just give me the oil change at least out of The 30k service was suppose to get. He said sorry and understands but he couldn't do anything. Then after that you try to push me to Do a tire rotation when I just got new tires with not that many miles on them. This was an awful experience and even the last service was because they wanted to Do a rear brake change for $900. Dealership are all par for the course but they did just lose a customer for a new Atlas this year because we were going to upgrade. But not at this dealership Now!!!!! Worst service and not a good dealer. We bought an Audi car which is certified and they gave us a defective car with the engine. We consistently went to the same service few times for maintenance of our car. They charged money always and still charged the diagnosis fee though its their fault of not letting us know that there is a fault with the car. Their service dept says the charge is 14000 Dollars to fix that defect that is with the engine. I would never buy from this showroom. The car asked for oil change every 500 miles and the service said its normal for this car where I am surprised to know that they say a 500 mile oil change is normal where the service did not know what job they are doing. I have purchased two Volkswagens from Valenti Volkswagen, and they are my go-to for buying Volkswagens. I discovered them in 2015 when I was searching for Volkswagen inventory online. Their inventory was really great, and I made an appointment to test drive Jetta Sportwagens. I ended up buying a CPO 2013 Jetta SportWagen TDI at a good price--actually it was a fabulous car for the price. The sales and purchase process were hassle-free; I definitely felt like I was in the driver's seat (nyuk nyuk) during the sales process, and I enjoyed working with my salesperson. Maybe you see where this is going, because two years later I was back to do a TDI buyback and get a new vehicle. I was looking solely at Golf AllTracks, and after test driving, I decided to order a 6-speed manual AllTrack from the factory. Again, the process at the dealer was smooth, and my sales rep kept me apprised of the vehicle's delivery. There was a snafu when the vehicle was delivered: some of the features I ordered were not included, and some things I didn't order were included. The dealer did the best they could to make good on what could be fixed, and I was OK with ultimately not having the driver assist package. That's not fixable. But you know, I've been parking my car myself and watching out for pedestrians with my own eyeballs my whole life. Why stop now? I really appreciated that the dealer was my go-to source of information for the TDI buyback process. They were processing 40 buybacks/week, so they had answers to all of my questions. The bottom line: As long as I keep buying Volkswagens, I'l keep buying them from Valenti in Watertown. I have been consistently treated with respect, they know their vehicles, and the sales and purchase processes have been hassle-free. I hope they appreciate that I don't like to haggle on prices or be an obnoxious customer who plays hardball, so I think this relationship is a good fit for both of us. read more

I was looking for a very specific car, Valenti had it! I called and with in minutes agreed to the purchase, over the phone, without a test drive or An inspection, w are toa deal where they lowered their dealer paperwork fee and the price, my savings was around $400.00. Big woozy. I decided to apply for credit, putting half down. I was told they hardly do out of state sales as this was a 1st but would do it but my SS number was off a digit on my app, they thought that was so suspect they said they would not help me to finance, I said Ok, I'll pay cash... I then asked for wiring instructions and told them that the wire would come from myself and my brother as he owned me $10,000 so this was how I'd get it back. They emailed me back and said that if the money was not just from me the deal would be off and the car up for sale again, in those words... no explaining why, or it was policy, or they are sorry but... So I emailed them back saying I thought they rude, aquisatory, had no bedside manner and that I understood why they didn't do too many out of state sales. I sent them an expired license to show my proper address and a current one. I was emailed back saying "Jordan, When you and I first spoke, I informed you that we normally don't complete transactions without the buyer being present at our location. (I've purchased over 15 cars over the phone) We agreed to accommodate you (agreed? Awe.) as long as everything "lined up" and we were satisfied as to the legitimacy (what the heck does that mean? One can only be satisfied when it's done) of the sale. Unfortunately since then we have had a number of issues come up, such as you giving the wrong social security number (I doubt that very much and if so, a typo of course) on your credit application, sending me a license with the wrong address, (it was the correct address, just moved from NY to SC) and then sending me one that expired (I sent two, one old one to show it's the same person different address) over a year ago. We have maintained our professionalism, ( they wer never professional) yet do not feel comfortable (feel? Can u imagine if we all went by how we feel?) with the sale at this point. Therefore, we are cancelling your transaction and refunding your deposit. (I emailed them over 22 times to get a receipt that they did in fact refund me) I saw another dealer had the car in, with 5500 miles, $2000 less and I called, wired money in and it's being shipped tomorrow, all in 2 hours time I purchased a car. Here's the deal... from the moment I spoke with them I found them abrupt, rude, not in the slightest way gracious and thankful about getting a call and doing a sale over the phone with in 5 minutes... They were schmucks but I wanted that car and bit my toung:). They did me a service by being rude, I saved money and got a car with almost no miles. If you have an opportunity to use another dealer, do so! They are awful. They are all a bunch of very cold rude people that were so wrong about my intentions which I explained might have been a typo although I'm sure I remember my SS number by heart. I paid cash anyway out of an account I sent them with over $400,000 in it. All nonscence. David Thomas, the manager rude, abrupt, accusatory, pompous. Valenti Audi is not representative of the experience you think you're getting with the brand. You would think going to an ACCREDITED AUDI dealership this wouldn't be an issue but it is. FIRST I brought the car in because there was shaking present. They told me a sensor was rubbing on the pads, and causing the vibration, FINE i said fix it. The car was STILL SHAKING after they "fixed it". THEN they said "Your rims are bent, I was like Okay I put stock rims on and car was still shaking! THEN they checked it again and said "The axels or wish bones were snapped" HOW do you send me off in the first place without seeing AXELS ARE ALMOST SNAPPED????? Is this safety??? What are the techs seeing???? (More money out of my pocket and of course the issue was fixed then) THEN my front cameras needed alignment, they told me car will be ready on a Wednesday, car wasn't. They told me the technician "saw it last time the car was in for the axels ( 2 months prior) but then they said the tech missed it?????" When I tell you i was confused i was because how do you miss it? Then you didn't see it? Almost felt like they were lying to me to COVER their mistake. You will fix one thing and they will tell you yeah but we found this as well. OR they will tell you yeah we knew an issue was present when we last checked your car but didn't tell you OR "the technicians missed it". I get if its a side shop and they miss it fine you get what you pay for, BUT its an ACCREDITED Audi dealership!!!!!! This tells me that they don't check the car thoroughly or simply don't care about their customers or their safety. They wanted me to PAY for an issue THEY missed that I would've never found out if I didn't go back. Is this professional service?????? The Service Manager "Ken Orr" is also a very rude individual who really doesn't care about his clients! The last time I was there a few days ago to get my car back, Ken just stayed in his office and didn't even come out to say anything. KNOWING the quality of the service I received was very horrible.You should not be holding a high position if you make your clients feel like absolute crap! I stopped in here to look at 2 2014 VW GLI's which were listed @ $18.5 and $20k respectively on Valenti's website. One had 13k miles and the other had 17k. The odd thing was the next car in my search results was a 2017 GLI with 9k miles for $21k. How is the exact same spec car that's 3 years OLDER and without a warranty only $1k or even $2.5k cheaper?! I figured this was an error so I stopped in to clarify. Walked around for 5 minutes or so with literally one person on the entire showroom floor and building. After 5 minutes I called the main line and asked if they could send someone to the sales floor. They did. The sales guy Ben was polite and informative. I showed him the pricing and he agreed that it was odd. They called Michael Valenti to confirm, and he stated that both cars should be $18.5k. That means that both cars only depreciated $1k a year? The first question I asked was if they priced the older cars so high to corral people into buying a newer model. They assured me this wasn't the case. After I pointed all of this out the older gentleman's response was "why not just get the 2017, it's only a couple grand more". What?!!! Just wow. I literally would have walked out of there with one of those GLI's had they been more reasonably priced, but when you get "well on cars.com there's only 11 in the entire country so it's pretty rare" as a response you can't really work with that. read more

Rep was very friendly and somewhat knowledgeable about my car, but after getting my car back it was apparent that someone (techs?) went joyriding in it. In the past three months I had to purchase two vehicles from Valenti Audi my first experience was amazing and unfortunately I got in a car accident and it was a total loss. My beloved 2016 GTI was recently in for warranty service during which time they caused some accidental damage to the paint on my hood, this of course was very upsetting. Things happen and I don't think this is representative of Valenti's service dept which otherwise has been very good in my experience. They attempted to fix the damage but the results were not to my satisfaction, they were also willing to try other options but there were downsides to each. In the end I chose to leave it as-is. The situation was unfortunate but I want to acknowledge that the manager was willing to work with me, and despite some tensions we were able to come to an agreement that I consider fair and left me feeling that they do want you to leave a satisfied customer. read more

Went in today for service. Self diagnosed my wife's Jettas brake noises as rear brakes likely needing replacement (drum brakes). I normally do my own brakes but drums are a different story. When I called and talked to Mark, he confirmed right away with me as to what they do when doing drums and why it's more difficult to do yourself. He warned me it'd likely be a $1000 job. I appreciated the clarity! I made the appointment for the next morning and Mark said (as I was coming from 30 mins away and he'd be keeping the car overnight), he'd give me a loaner. Next morning I meet Mark who is a very nice guy. He had me in and out quickly with a loaner (spoiled with a 2019 Tiguan with 15 miles). Was nice to drive a SUV I'd consider as a next vehicle but I might lean towards the Atlas. Few hours later I get a call from Mark, that the mechanic had looked and the drums and shoes looked fine and although they heard the noise too, once they cleaned out the excessive brake dust, it seemed to have fixed it. I have a natural distrust for dealerships that do and charge for unnecessary work. This potential $1000 job that he could have easily done and I wouldn't have questioned it turned into a $200 brake cleaning and inspection. I am more than impressed in their work and honestly. With that $800 that a less reputable dealer could have gotten from me, they have bought themselves trust and loyalty from me from here on. And a great Yelp review that shares the story. I just moved here from Boston, and now I know where I'm going when I'm ready for a new SUV ... and they'll be doing all the more complex maintenance that I can't do myself for the time being. I came to Valenti all the way from Stamford back in November 2012 because my Jetta SEL was totaled in an accident and I was looking to buy a new Jetta within the week to replace it. I was definitely not just looking. I went to Valenti because they had an inventory of used and new GLIs. The first time I went there, the sales person tried to bully me into putting $500 down on a car I hadn't driven yet. The second time when I went (2 days later) for a test drive, he got frustrated with me when I was trying to work out the numbers on a used car loan vs the VW promotion of 0% on new cars, and his frustration was very apparent. There was even an altercation with his supervisor on the sales floor. Given the way I was treated, I decided to buy new and from my previous dealership in Stamford. I would never go back to Valenti, but I love my GLI and will buy from VW again. read more

Just purchased a 2014 Jetta from Valenti Volkswagen today and couldn't be happier with the buying process, price and staff. For the past couple weeks I have been searching online for a car, the exact car I wanted popped up from Valenti with a list price that was not matched anywhere within 200 miles. Called them up and set up a test drive. My salesman was Rodrigo, he was friendly, non-pushy and just a decent individual to be dealing with. After similar interactions with the sales manager and financing coordinator I gather that must be the general atmospheric tone set within Valenti. While I knew going in the list price was unbeatable elsewhere, I still tried to see if they could come down on the price. Unsurprisingly, I was informed of their hassle free pricing and that they would pricematch, but I was unable to find another vehicle that would justify a price reduction. I much prefer this hassle free policy over haggling and was more than content with how much I paid. Overall I would recommend Valenti to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. Car dealerships in general have a negative connotation associated with the car buying process; if more of them took a page from the Valenti book on how to do business I would hope the bad ones will eventually get weeded out. read more

Just made the 3-day mark of owning my new 2017 GTI that I purchased from Valenti Volkswagen with the help of Michael Parrell. Michael was beyond accommodating, going the extra mile on several occasions; Michael stayed late to explain and show me the new features of my car, pulled the vehicle in to the dealership's service garage to avoid the rainy weather and let me gawk over my purchase, and even ensured that the little details (pre-cleaning, not drilling holes in the bumper cover for the front license plate, and pre-delivery inspection) did not get missed. More so, Michael and the sales manager, Charles, worked very well together to ensure I got the car I wanted for the price I was looking to pay. I wasn't sure of the fate of my Volkswagen purchases after returning my TDI in January, but I'm so glad I returned, but more importantly, that I returned to Valenti. read more

Valenti Audi in Watertown is the most dishonest company I have ever come across. They tried to charge me $13,000 (yes, that is thirteen thousand dollars) for a repair on a 2013 A5 convertible they said was coincidentally also worth $13,000. I bought the car from them new, and have had them do the recommended service and needed maintenance. How is it I ended up needing $13,000 worth of repairs on a meticulously maintained car? I also had the option of trading it in for $2,000 if I didn't want to pay the $13,000. I took the car for a 2nd opinion. I ended up at a certified Audi mechanic (not an Audi dealer). He was able to do the repairs for $300 (yes, that is three hundred dollars). It's running well and his work came with a good guarantee! Stay away from Valenti Audi. For the record, I went to Audi America and they did nothing to stand behind their product either. read more

By far the best experience I had with an auto service place in Connecticut! It was refreshing to find such a courteous and responsive dealership staff. Brett Murray always kept me updated on the process and any questions I had were always answered quickly and thoroughly. I always brought my Audi for the scheduled maintenance to this dealer. They were close but also provided a complimentary loaner vehicle which was always clean and roomy. Within a few hours, they accurately diagnosed and repaired my vehicle. When the job was complete I was able to retrieve my car immediately, thanks to their complimentary shuttle service...very convenient! They've earned my trust. I own a TDI and recently received my Buyback confirmation. I stopped by Valenti to kick the tires on the new Golf Alltrack, and negotiate a price. I was informed by the salesperson the MSRP sticker price was not negotiable. Okay, so VW deceives over a half million customers, then tells them we will not negotiate a price for a "Order" car. This is clearly the dealer attempting to take advantage of buyback customers. I have owned three VW's in my lifetime. There will be no more VW's in my lifetime. I would say this to anyone thinking of purchasing a VW. Look at resale values of VW cars before you purchase, and be prepared to lose a lot of money. Gap insurance. Ask the dealer if they will cover the cost of gap insurance you will need to cover the cost of purchasing a new car should you get into an accident. Purchase a car at MSRP and you better purchase gap insurance. If this is how they treat customers before a sale...how do they treat customers after the sale....we now know the answer to that question. read more

I bought a beautiful 2003 Audi A4. I did scheduled oil and filter changes every 3 -5 thousand miles as was suggested. At 105, 000 miles the engine suddenly expolded, leaving me stranded on the interstate, due to a defective timing belt. After a $145 towing bill to bring the car all the way back to their shop, I asked to negotiate a price for a new motor. It was offered to me at the full retail price of $12,000. or "get your car out of here." (I asked to negotiate- not to get a freebie, but that we split the cost which seems fair when the motor is pro-rated.) I was told, "this is YOUR problem", and the motor exploding was MY fault because I didn't request to have the belt changed at 100,000 miles. NOT because the belt was faulty. (Even tho Audi had a massive recall for exploding engines on the 1.8 motor in the same car.) After threatening to charge me for every day that the car on their property, I paid again to have the car towed. This time it went to my house. When it got towed home, much to my amazement, the enging was dissasembled and much of it was piled in the truck, getting grease and filth on my wives personal possesions and inside the trunk. This Dealership is the WORST that lying deceitful car dealers can be. Loyaly means NOTHING to these guys. They screwed me over and literally laughed in my face when I went to the shop to inquire about splitting the cost. After YEARS of giving them business!!! I WILL AVOID THESE GUYS AT ALL COSTS!!! just had a horrible experience at valenti ford in mystic. had a car that had a takata air bag tat explodes on impact, killing 21 people worldwide and hundreds injured. had to wait 6 months before we could use our car again. by the time the air bag was ready it was going to cost us over 2000 dollars for repairs because it sat so long. tried service manager and owner Rob, with both basically saying it was our fault since we didn't run the car enough over 6 months. the repairs even included rusty brake pads as well as shocks so rusty they had to be replaced. Rob would not answer when asked how were we supposed to do anything for shocks or brakes if we weren't supposed to drive it. awful. will never buy from there again. read more

I purchased a certified VW and, while I like the car, I was disappointed with the dealership staff.

This is to express my dissatisfaction with Valenti Audi for numerous reasons. And to warn others to stay away. Most significantly, I have recently had a most disturbing experience with the sales department. I was encouraged to come in prior to the end of the lease. At the first visit, my car was assessed to determine its trade in value. I was informed that the car was a "wash". I returned the following week on this basis and, over the course of more than 2 hours, negotiated an acceptable deal with the salesman and a finance manager. I signed the contract and went out for a celebratory dinner. While at dinner (still on appetizers) I received a phone call from the salesman to inform me that in fact they could/would not honor the deal we'd agreed to because, suddenly, the car was not a wash and they reneged. I have never had such a horrendous, difficult to understand experience. Outrageous!!!! I have also been less than satisfied with the service and parts departments. Specifically, one of my tires was wearing down more quickly than the other three. I pursued this problem with the service department and even with the service manager and was not given a satisfactory answer as to why this might be occurring nor was this problem looked into more carefully. When I then replaced my tires (at a tire dealership), I was shown that the alignment was way off. Should the service department not have known this and corrected the alignment so that my tires would not have had to be replaced so soon? Finally, in the course of buying new tires, I was in contact with the parts department to determine which tires would be acceptable when returning the car after the terms of my lease. This required numerous calls between myself, the car dealership and the audi parts department until all the necessary information was shared. Should the parts manager not have been able to give all the necessary specs the first time? I will never do business with valenti audi again. When calling to schedule service you will be insulted by the service agent. Not sure what their quality is in terms of service but compared to Audi standards the attitude on the phone is unacceptable and I won't ever take my car here. Also the web form for service request does not work. They lag behind all other dealers in the technology department and service standards it seems. read more

Valenti told me I needed a new turbo. Quoted $2k for repair. They said I needed to replace ASAP so I didn't cause more damage. I went to another specialist and they said the turbo was perfectly fine. I only needed a tune-up/spark plugs, filters, oil change. I then called Valenti back and notified them of there error. I requested a refund for the diagnostic fee and the service manager said he would only refund if I did the tune-up at Valenti. I thanked them and here is my review. read more

I had my vehicle towed to Valenti because I bottomed out on a dirt road. It was a Sunday, so I placed my information and keys in the drop box. I called the next morning to give them details about what happened and what I wanted. The rep that I spoke to was very courteous and let me know that they would take take a look at the damage and call me back with an estimate before doing any repairs. The next day, they called and gave me the details of the damage, which included a severely damaged transmission pan, and informed me that the transmission itself had not been damaged. I ok'd work on the vehicle, and let them know that I had another problem unrelated to the bottoming out that I wanted them to look into. The rep agreed to inform the technicians and would call me once the initials repairs were completed. They called me back and informed me that the repairs had been completed and the other problem had been looked into. The problem allowed for a temporary fix so that I could get my car back until the part arrived. They were considerate of the fact I had been without a car for a few days, and wanted to do what they could to lessen the inconvenience. I picked up my vehicle and noticed an improvement even with the temporary fix. I will return my vehicle when the part arrives for the permanent fix, and for every job after. read more

Dropped off a 2010 Tiguan for rear seal, timing cover gasket, valve cover gasket. Work was done on time. All appears to be fixed.
