We ordered the chicken wings (lemon pepper and garlic soy - my personal favorite was the lemon pepper as it was so incredibly flavorful). I went to kbbq chicken (the chain) the other day, and so the bar was set high. Yet Legend Chicken did not disappoint - if anything, Legend might be my new favorite fried chicken spot! For the sides, we ordered cheesy corn (which was just okay), tteboki (which was served with fish cake, and was easily my favorite side), and cheese sticks (satisfying). This was my first time ordering from here. We placed a pickup order on a Wednesday night over the phone, and they told us it would be ready in just 18 minutes--super quick and easy! We got the 10-piece tenders (half original, half soy garlic) and an order of waffle fries. The waffle fries were fire--10/10! Crispy, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. As for the tenders, the quality of the chicken itself was a solid 10/10, and the prices were really reasonable. I appreciated that the batter was thin, since some places overdo it with thick breading. But in this case, they needed to be fried a little longer--the coating came out a bit soggy, and it didn't have that nice crisp bite. The soy garlic flavor didn't come through much either. There wasn't a lot of sauce, and I'm thinking the thinner batter may have soaked it up. I've past by this spot several times and decided to check it out recently for lunch and I'm glad I did because the chicken I had here was delicious. The tenders were quite large, were covered in the spicy fire soy sauce which packed a good amount of flavor and a decent kick of spice. The fries were well-seasoned and crispy and you get a good amount. The garlic toast was simple with garlic and butter on both sides and was a good side to the tenders and fries. Service was friendly when I placed my order and there's plenty of seating here for larger parties and it's pretty clean throughout the interior. I would say it is on the more dimmer side during the late afternoon but it didn't bother me too much and the overall ambience was quite chill. There's a sign out front that says no outside food please and also no dining in if you ordered food to go : both of these requests are quite reasonable in my opinion. Am sure there are others who would disagree but if you ever had to run a restaurant, you would completely understand. Food was quite satisfying: crispy chicken had a great crunchy texture and chicken stayed tender. The Honey bee flavor has a slight spicy kick to it and also stayed crunchy even with the sweet sauce over it all.
