Just moved to the area, was looking for something for a quick last minute dinner for me and my two kids. Our waitress was amazing, very welcoming and sweet. Even gave us recommendations off the menu. My son and I got cheesesteaks and they were absolutely delicious. The roll was very fresh and toasted perfectly. My daughter got a hotdog off the kids menu, not sure how that was but she said it was delicious LOL. Everything takes good in the mouth of a three year old. Valerio's in located in Albrightsville, which is so small, it's technically a village, not a city. Still, within about 1/2 mile of each other, there are 3 pizza places: Gagliano's, Bella Mia and Valerio's - which is a good selection for such a small rural area. I've recently gotten slices at each of these places several times in an effort to find the best option for my taste. I didn't want to like Valerio's more than the others, but I just can't deny it! Even though their slices are a little bit more expensive than the other places, they are quite a bit larger and the sauce is much better. Not only that, but I always ask for my slice to be "well done" or crispy on the bottom - and they nail it every time! Although I used to go into Valerio's bar (which is through a doorway in the pizzeria) for their wing specials, I only go in it now if I want to wash my hands while waiting for my pizza. But when I was going there - I LOVED their wings. I've only gotten the hot wings or whatever is hotter than their hot, but my friends usually get the mild wings and also raved about how great they are. So if it's pizza or wings you're looking for when in Albrightsville, you'll be happy with your food at Valerio's. You might even find yourself craving them long after you're gone. read more

I think the next time I'm craving some pasta, I'll get Chef Boyardee. The food here is getting worse n worse every time. Aside from a strombolli I got a couple weeks ago (that was actually pretty good), the rest has been garbage. Gotta say the chicken cordon bleu I got, and paid almost $15.00 for was probably the worst yet. $15.00 for one of those little frozen food aisle chicken cordon bleu roll things, that come two in a box for $2.99. Service is horrible. I sat at the bar right behind the bartender. She decided to keep texting on her cellphone and ignore a paying customer. I didn't get service until someone at the bar asked for the remote and she finally decided to ask me what i wanted to drink. The customers / fellow bartender had a very crude towards women. BE AWARE of pricing not being correct on menu n online! We ordered 44 count of wings which says $28.95 n they charged us $42.00!!! They were good but will never got back because of it. The owner was not very nice about it at all n told me that it was changed online( which it was not)!!! read more

The Good- They have great wings & Cheese-Steak Stromboli is the best (get a small its enough to share!). The Bad - Service is terrible, bartenders are rude and clearly don't care that they are working for a tip. Also there are always sketchy looking people standing outside smoking right at the front entrance. Pretty chill bar with a modest beer selection and I enjoyed the food. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries to be specific. I had gone with a big group and they all enjoyed there meals as well. We really had trouble finding quality food in the area (we had been staying at a nearby house, visiting from Jersey) and this place had hit the spot. read more

Sat at the sports themed bar. There are three large TVs to watch sports on. There are several pool tables for additional entertainment. They have several beers on tap. Bartender pleasant and provided great service. Ate the chicken parm sandwich which tasted great. read more

Look at the name of the restaurant, people (those who criticize the non-pizza food) -- it's a pizzeria and pub. And what they make at a pizzeria is....pizza. And it is REALLY good NY style pizza. We did take out and it was great. read more

The portions are gigantic. For the type of place, the food is decent and prices reasonable. The dishes are plastic and you are charged extra for parmesan or red pepper for your pizza. Location is hard to find and some of the staff are unfriendly. read more

THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! *****NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR****** We order two chicken Caesar got two garden salads with grilled chicken on them When we said we hadn't gotten what we order and asked them to fix them they THEN informed us they do not make Caesar Salads, so we ask to take them off of our 88 dollar bill. They said there was nothing they could do. Then after talking to a manager they said they adjusted it and I never got the money back for them. They got the food and an extra twenty dollars. We visit the pocono area from Philadelphia several times a year and our family enjoys eating at Valerios. They have your standard Italian menu but the regular Stromboli is exceptional! We went last night and it was loaded with cheese and costs $20 for a large. Kids enjoy the burgers. We will definitely be back. read more

Went here the first day of our vacation at Split Rock and it was okay. Not the cleanest and the food was okay. The service was not very good and the server never brought out appetizer. The was only one person serving all of the tables which made it take a long time to get served. Overall not so good. read more

Valerio's has the best wings around, other than that go elsewhere. They are expensive and after living hear for 11 years and going there frequently, I have yet to get food the way I ordered it. I mean when you say steak sandwich with no cheese and you specify NO CHEESE 3 times, you don't want cheese right? Fries are only half cooked (which is nasty). They can't get it right. Pizza and wings are really the only thing that's good. Every single other thing but the pizza is out of a frozen bag...NOTHING is actually made there. you can tell the cooks don't give a damn... everything fried was thrown into styrofoam containers, piled on top of each other, soggy as hell. the chicken fingers got wing sauce all over them. the canoli's were only filled at the end, completely empty inside. Get it together Valerios, you used to be WORTH your outrageously expensive prices but I will never be back again. read more
