I didn't like the previous pizzeria, but willing to try the new owners pizza. The regular pie and Sicilian were very good the first time, it was fresh. (I wrote this in a private Facebook group first) So, as most of you know, I was going to review the old Amadeos pizzeria, which is now Pocono Pines pizzeria and restaurant. Well, here's my experience. (Aside from this experience, I did go once before just for a slice; wasn't that amused with the staff, but the pizza was decent.) Me: Hello, can I place an order for pickup? Clerk: Sure, what would you like? Me: I'd like a large half pepperoni and cheese, and a large vodka sauce pizza. Clerk: Okay, that will be $43. It will be ready in 20 minutes. Me: Okay, see you soon. I walk into the restaurant. Me: Hello, I ordered the 2 pies. Clerk: Okay, that will be $43. Are you paying with cash or card? Me: Card. Clerk: Okay, here is your receipt. The pizza will be right out. Me: (stands around for another 10 minutes) Clerk: Here's your pizza. Have a good day. Me: Thank you. As I walk away with the pizza, I'm thinking to myself that they are very heavy. I walk to the car and open them up, and what was supposed to be the vodka sauce pizza was a white vodka sauce with fried chicken and penne pasta. So, I head back in to get this fixed. Me: Hello, this isn't what I ordered. There's chicken and penne on this pizza; I just wanted a vodka sauce pizza. Clerk: Okay, sorry about that. I'll see what they can do about this. Me: Thank you so much. Now, here's where it gets interesting. Clerk: Do you want them to just pick the chicken and pasta off the pizza? Me: Um, no. That would completely butcher the pizza ‍. Clerk: Okay, um, do you want a new pizza? Me: No, it's okay. I'll just take a refund. Clerk: Okay, let me talk to the manager. Manger says he can't give you a refund. Me: yes he has to or I will be calling my bank and making this a fraudulent charge. Clerk:I'll be right back Manager: I CAN'T GIVE YOU A REFUND. THAT'S $24 THAT I HAVE TO GIVE YOU. EVERYONE IS MAKING $24, AND NOW I HAVE TO GIVE YOU MONEY. HOW DID YOU PLACE THE ORDER, PHONE OR ONLINE? Me: Over the phone, and yes, you owe me $24 because that is not what I ordered, and I'm not walking away with the pizza. I want a refund. Manager: (huffs, yells at the clerk, and tells her that she put the order in wrong) Tells her to refund me. Clerk: Here is your refund. Would you like a receipt? Me: Oh yes, indeed. I come home with just the one half pepperoni and cheese. It's a thicker pizza than the slice I had one month prior. The bread was doughy, and the cheese was meh. There was a little bit of good flavor in the sauce though. Curious to know what kind of ingredients they are using since they can't afford to give me a refund and questioning the freshness of those ingredients. Hello all, just wanted to make a Post that I'm no longer at Pocono pizza pines pizzeria formerly amadeos. I have discovered really bad health conditions such as mice droppings and alive rodents in the kitchen. Some of the pasta boxes have been chewed up and the owner doesn't seem to care. I have brought to his attention and is unfazed. If you want to continue eating here it's your choice but after finding mice droppings and looking at how the staff touched money then went right to food. The cooks go from smoking cigarettes to touching the pizza dough. And he blows into the dough to get below it. I walked out after seeing the disgust. The owner is so focused just on making $$ and not worried about quality. It's sad to post this but the owner does not care or seem to care. Sorry for the past deliveries that were cold and not delivered. Being the only solo delivery guy it's hard, I'm working in a new restaurant in mount Pocono that delivers and would be willing to deliver to arrowhead. You would just need to ask for Michael. Other than that I have a photo of the mice dropping in pasta then the owner threw away the evidence. Just want to bring this to the public's attention. If you don't know the sign still says Amadeos Pizza & Deli and the owner is always crying broke. The lake Naomi president came in a week ago and told the owner that the prices don't match the menus. And he said "go elsewhere". Sad to see such a new business go downhill fast. read more

First time here. We are trying all of the pizza places around us in the Poconos. Tried to order online but it was down so I called. Looking at the online I was happy to see they offered different cook on their pizzas. Husband ordered thin well cooked pepperoni and I ordered white with tomatoes. Both were great! The white had a bottom layer of ricotta and layer of mozzarella. The store is clean and has seating. The cases had bread, cold cuts and gorgeous desserts. The service was good. Stopped by for a few slices while driving around Lakes for an overnight trip. The young lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful. I ordered a slice of vegi and a slice of meat lovers. It was very good!! Hot, crispy and had a good chew to it. I never order vegi pizza... but the plethora of visually fresh vegetables baked nicely into the pie made my mouth crave a healthy crunch. The menu has items on it that I was interested in trying another time. It's not just pizza on the menu!!! So I imagine there is something good for everyone here. For a while i lived nearby and this was my go to place for a quick bite to eat. The environment is very classic and nostalgic and the food is good, and the penne pasta with butter is surprisingly delectable. So annoyed :( we ordered 3 pizzas, 2 veggie and 1 meat. The one veggie was completely inedible, it was literally wet and I'm not sure how?? It's like it wasn't cooked at all, but the other 2 pizzas were! So I'd say if you eat here, make sure you specify to cook the crust all the way through..no one wants wet inedible pizza!!!!! Worst pizza shop I've ever been to, picked up the Stromboli it was raw inside. When I called and spoke to the owner, she gave me a hard time telling me it's impossible. They've never had one come back. Rall told her there's first she told me to bring it back so she could physically look at it. I told her I was 25 minutes away. That was not happening, but feel free to come pick it up. She told me that would not happen.. after giving me a hard time I told her not to worry I would call the credit card company and have a disputed. She said I'm not allowed to do that. We have come to this establishment over the years and I never had the urge to write a review until now. Let me start with the pizza: We would come here for lunch with the kids and really did not have anything more than a 5/10 expectation for the food. That is exactly what you will get here. Absolutely nothing to write home about. Very average pizza with minimal flavor. It served it purpose for a quick bite and move on to the fun of the Poconos. Ambiance: Over the years it has been dingy, dirty, and basically a place you'd like to take something to go. The window sills are filled with old flies and cobwebs. Currently they have closed their sitting area as well due to Covid and lack of employees. They also make sure to let you know that by telling you this in rude manner even if you simply walk in to order a slice to go. Customer Service: This is where I needed to step in a write the review. There has been a trend here. Every time I walk in to place an order I am met with eye rolls, attitude, rudeness, and snide comments from specifically the owner. This is not a one-time thing. It is strange that I am made to feel uncomfortable to simply place an order. Also, my wife asked for a few forks to go since they closed the dining area and we have small children than needed them, we were told they don't give out free utensils. Pretty strange that a business wouldn't account for some basic to-go supplies as a business expense when they closed their dining area. Bottom line: I would hard pass on this and order anywhere else. I will not be going back because I don't need an attitude problem for some subpar food in the Poconos. There are a lot of other places to turn fortunately for me. Tip to the owner: Smile, breathe, either be all-in or close down. You need customers to survive so don't be rude to everyone for no reason. Clean the tables outside and provide a better seating area outside if you cant open your dining area. It seems you have given up and lost your passion. Read other online reviews. Excellent subs! We recently bought a place in the area and we've been to Amadeos twice in the past week! Their eggplant parm is one of the best I've ever had, and their subs are big enough to be enough food for 2 if you get fries or a salad. Their chicken parm subs are also delicious, as are their meatball subs (can you tell we're into subs??)! I keep a menu at the house as well as in the car for when we're hangry after running errands! We go here all the time. Reliably good pizza and fast, friendly service. Is it the best pizza ever? No, but it's solid and gluten free friends rave about that option. Garlic knots are tasty. We've enjoyed the hot sandwiches like chicken and eggplant Parmesan as well. I never like slices that are reheated and as this place does not do super volume all the time, so opt for a whole pie for better pizza. Desserts look good, but we have not purchased. read more

April 15th my husband had a Stromboli which he liked but I asked for a cheese steak and cheese fries and I got chili cheese fries that my husband had to eat because I can't have chili. If you're going in without cash, beware their minimum. They're not kidding! I spent $38 & change on food and forgot 2 sodas. They wouldn't check me out. I was pointed to the signage and told there were no exceptions. Wound up needing to buy some cold cut ham to meet the minimum, despite spending bank on all the food I ordered. To top it off, they don't provide bags for drinks & cold cuts, only hot food apparently. The sad thing is that the locals throughout the Poconos think they have good pizza. I have yet to find it. The pizza was average with what seemed to be frozen veggies weighing it down.
