Steve up in Kansas City has a corner on the market for Slick extensive reviews of good-looking new convenience stores. So, I thought id give the other end of the stick,the yin of his yang, and a little fame. These guys that have been around for decades with little to no change are going going gone. Now that doesn't, in and of itself break my heart. I don't necessarily frequent convenience stores like I once did. But, Im intrigued with these time capsules so, Ill review for your enjoyment. If nothing else the photos should be interesting. Keep an eye out for the Patent Pending back of the store shot! What originally drew me in was the front sign Bait Sandwiches! Now the person that originally carried out that design probably had no idea what it would eventually look like to someone from the road. Or maybe they did but,doubtful. Either way, it's quirky cool in my opinion. My adventurous nature dictated that I go inside and look around. Im not one to do this type of thing without paying my dues. In this case, it was purchasing a 16 ounce bottle of water. It was steep I thought at $1.79 cents. but then again, this store literally has a corner on the market and its the only thing around. On the main road to a local lake,Lavon. If you've forgotten something, this is your stop and it shows. By the selection of items you can tell who the main customers are. Now to the good part. I found the bait! but no sandwiches! The Tiny kitchen that apparently makes burgers during lunch was closed! I can imagine back in the day,it was open all the time. I think probably it would be open 24.7 on this corner if they made a killer hamburger, dont you? The bait was alive and ready. A 30 gallon aquarium of minnows! I ask what appeared to be the owner about the minnows. He mumbled something I didnt understand and disappeared into the back not to return. Next time your passing one of these establishments of yesteryear, I urge you to consider stopping for a look around. Really interesting and they sell bottled water.

The prices for gas are typically close to the best in town. This one includes a yogurt shop called "Swirl World" The flavors and selection are great. It is standard pricing for yogurt shops where you can make it by the cup. You can choose from several flavors and lots of great toppings.

I started off in the drive thru.. told it would be…read moreabout 15 minutes until my much needed prescription for my sinus infection was ready.. no problem. I pull into the front of the store . Go shopping, use the restroom.. waste about 30 minutes.. then I get in line. About 10minutes in line because everyone before me has an issue.. then I'm thinking yay! I should be done... wah wah wahhh nope the cashier spends another 5 minutes looking me up , because she tells me that I need to wait. Kenza the cashier did her best to try and make a bad situation good.

I was not violating any policy. I was simply waiting; They told police that my medicine was not an immediate need like insulin violating my HIPPA privacy rights. One of the medications they failed to fill was needed for a post operative surgical need requiring my doctor on day of surgery to find an alternative pharmacy to dispense the medication. This experience was humiliating and alarming. Calling law enforcement on a black woman disabled veteran for waiting for medication reflects poor judgment and raises seriously concerns about racial bias. If you are black do not use this location; I would go so far as to not use CVS period

This specific allsups looks like it should be somewhere not here .. but this place belongs…read more I mean 10000% first let me tell you about the day I was having ... yeah no bueno then I am having a mental breakdown and sat outside for 2 hours in front of a pump .. before going inside and the guy working being soo gracious with me and understanding the whole time and I got fish and chicken and THAT SHIT SLAPPED SO HARD .. man oh Man ... life lately and I'm grateful because I asked God for all of this, but I'll tell you this. I will always remember this all steps and I'll come out of my way to make sure I come back here.
