7/24/2026: First visit to this hidden little market, and we will be coming back! It's a Friday afternoon and we weren't sure if Wat Thai temple had their food court open, so before running an errand at the Costco Business Center, we decided to stop by. Vendors were in their stalls preparing for the Saturday-Sunday event, but they weren't selling today. So bummed! We looked across the street and saw the sign for Pratunum. Unassuming, so I checked Yelp and asked hubby if we could stop by and see what they had since I've never been to a Thai market and wanted a seasoning packet to make Pad Krapow at home. So glad we stopped in! We received the friendliest greeting from (did he say his name was Tom?) and he couldn't have been more helpful! He didn't have the exact thing I wanted but told me where in East Hollywood I could find it.. and walked me to an aisle to show me alternatives. We had a lovely visit, talked about restaurants, he was telling me how hard it is to find Holy Basil for sale in the SFV but said it's easy to grow and gave me a snipping! I'm pretty excited to start a plant. The store is immaculate. The shelves are neat, and it's well lit. Their prices are so fair, too! I will most definitely return to visit again! read more

Decided to check this little market out while waiting for our food from the Thai restaurant next door. Very small market and most of the aisles seemed empty. They probably only carry a handful of things or perhaps they were sold out of a lot of things for the holidays, not sure! There was maybe 1 worker up front and a few shoppers who seemed like regulars since they were chatting in Thai with the worker. This spot is located across the Thai Temple and has a very small parking lot. The lot also has a one way in, one way out and some of the spots are marked for certain businesses, especially the market! We picked up a few instant noodles that we still have yet to try but also grabbed some bottled refrigerated drinks. Basically everything here is Thai which was really cool since we rarely see and products from there! What a little gem! This place is really cool and super organized. From easy lit parking to amazing food that you purchase tokens for. Everyone is super nice and there are so many cool food options. You can also walk around the temple grounds. It's a beautiful place and pretty clean. They have lots of outdoor covered picnic tables to eat what you buy. Definitely a must do and repeat! read more

Happy to have a little Asian market close by! This is right by our favorite Thai pizza place. I usually have to go to Van Nuys to the 99 ranch when I need my asian fix, but this place has things like noodles, bak choy, and Thai beer! There was one other Thai market but it closed, so this is the only place! read more

Nice selection of basic thai condiments and many things Thai. A bit limited in selection, but that is the nature of this kind of business.

Should you support local businesses? Of course. But not this one. The owner and what I could only assume be her son because of their similar rude and trashy behavior don't deserve your business. The items are all overpriced and you can buy them for cheaper at 99 Ranch. read more

After leaving the Wat Thai Temple Food Market over the weekend, the Pratunum Super Market across the street caught my friend's eye & we both walked over to check it out! Currently, masks are required to enter the store. Caught My Eye: Palm leaves, red chili paste, matcha dark green tea KitKat & flavors of Lay's potato chips that were new to me. Customer Service: Friendly man & woman working there, as well as a frequent customer who started talking to us about Sriracha, while we were browsing the aisle! Purchased: I ended up getting Lay's Sweet Basil chips, which were a distinct & delicious flavor, loved the writing on the packaging. Also, got the Coconut Palm juice, which I've had before at Thai restaurants. I absolutely love the sweet taste! Looking forward to returning to this market & exploring new finds. read more

Awesome store, I mainly come here for the Thai Lay's Chips and different thai ice teas, coffees and candies. The lady in the front is also really nice and remembers you if you are a regular. I just wish they extended their hours. read more

I keep coming to this Thai market because its across the street from the Thai temple. Its a great little market to grab the major necessities. Im learning how to cook Thai food and so far its been smooth sailing, and I get most of my ingredients from this little market. I'm a weirdo who cooks for fun, I collect cooking gadgets, interesting ingredients, and try to weasel recipes out of people so i can recreate them at home. The ladies who work here are super nice, and everything for the most part is fairly priced. Great little market with plenty of parking and a little stall outside with Thai snacks. I can always find everything super fantastic as super authentic feel into what you are purchasing. Super adorable hiding gem in the San Fernando Valley and so close to freeway exits and entrances can be spotted a mile away, with that great view. The Thai Temple I can guarantee a bit feeling of culture of Thailand. I love you Pratunum Super Market for always giving me tasteful food I can never get when cooking with none familiar types of Thai related products and the workers always have fast answers to the knowledge of honestly quality and can I never get enough of the fish! Love coming here. Small and clean but they have everything that you need. Big parking lot but it's on busy streets so be careful.

Convenient Thai grocery store, love their fried fish which goes perfect with their papaya salad sold in their adjacent Thai restaurant. I have been here several times when it opened and I love this place. I just hope it does not get too busy like the other Asian stores in our neighborhood. Grocery Store Fried fish ....pompano, tilapia ground chicken vegetables frozen roti (brand Memory) Pratunum Thai Restaurant recommendations: chicken curry Penang beef Papaya Salad wit grilled shrimp Mango or Durian with sticky rice Mooncake with Durian and salty egg PS Buy their frozen roti in the grocery store and eat it with Penang or curry chicken at home. Rating: It would be a 5 star rating but some of the cashiers in the grocery store do not speak English and are sometimes texting or on their cell phone when they should be attentive to their customers. The workers in the Thai restaurant are very nice and attentive I give them a 5 stars for customer service. read more

It's the closest wholesale Thai supermarket near Valencia and Antelope Valley. They usually carries most of Thai supermarket items you need.

Overall, this is a 3 star rating. I added the fourth one because I would probably come here again when I'm in the area, but not go out of my way for. This grocery store just remodeled and it now has a restaurant that is attached to it, as well as fresh deserts and grilled stuff right outside beside the restaurant. Everything looks clean. Service was okay, a little off with the communication. The grocery store itself had a lot of selections. Some items I seen on the shelves were a little more pricey than it should be. For example, Yan-Yan biscuit dips were priced at $1.29. They sell elsewhere for $0.79 or under. The food at their restaurant was okay. Nothing special. We ordered different entrees and ate family style, so I had a little taste of everything ( Pad See You w/ beef, chkn sate, beef jerky, fried rice, chicken green curry). I would not go out of my way for their food. Needs way more flavoring, but it was edible. Decent prices. If you're a Thai fan, Thai lover--this shopping center won't disappoint you. Give this place a try. My favorite part of this shopping center was the food they had set up outside beside the restaurant. YUM YUM YUM....delicious deserts! =) read more

The woman owner is pretty rude. I went to the store today with my husband and 2 kids. The store was empty in the afternoon on a weekday. Then my 2 year old threw a tantrum and I immediately told my husband to take him outside of the store. I thought that was enough of the action but later when I checked out, she told me, in Thai, that I may get a call to the police if the kid cries every time he didn't get what he wanted. OMG!! What a devil word to say to a face of the customer who patronize your business. I'm Thai and I thought I really respect the place and would never let my kid misbehave or destroy someone's store. I really hope she's more understanding and has more service mind. Never return to this store again. The selection is not better than the other Thai grocery nearby on Coldwater Cyn. Don't recommend to anyone. read more

First time visit to the market today and it had everything I was looking for to create authentic Thai recipes and the prices were great! Maggi sauce, sweet soy sauce, fresh rice noodles...so much more! The nice woman at the store was very helpful and the security gaurd even helped me with opening my car door when my hands were too full to do it myself. I look forward visiting again soon...maybe after visiting the temple across the street on the weekend. read more

Would give a -star if I could. Was there bought a fried fish 15.95. After about an hour my wife and daughter got violently ill. The next day we went back and asked for the manager was told to come back the next day. We went back spoke with the most rude woman I've ever encountered. First she wanted us to return the fish. When we told her they ate it and got sick an hour later how could we return it. After 20 min of the worst customer service I've ever encountered finally she gave us our refund. And told us never to come back...No problem thank goodness for yelp. Don't get mad get even. If you shop there don't buy fresh fish or fried. BAD NEWS! read more

This place is awesome! They have my fave Thai snacks from Thailand (Paprika & Party Krong Krang). I have not found these snacks at any of the other Thai grocery stores. They even have little tubs of prepared curry in the refrigerated section. It looks good. The selection of snacks is there, but I couldn't find the chicken curry puff snacks & the woon (agar) jelly snacks. Right across the temple. Great location. Tiny grocery store, but lots of variety. Under $10, must pay in cash (like other places). read more
