First off the server was not good Claudio was pushy when it was time to pay it just placed my napkin down . Ready to pay? Me in a moment umm you have to pay here than hovered over me while selecting tip amount. Should have elected zero but I also am aware we all have bad days. The food tasted microwaved and took four seconds to get. I was going to g et the table guacamole but the server talked me out it . Its a far cry from the original location in hidden valley which will be the only one I go to anymore. Im disappointed yet again with the Harrison location . This is twice I've attempted here. The service was slow and when the fajitas arrived, the beef was overcooked and there were WAYYY too many onions. Pico de gallo was onion salad. I've eaten here quite a few times and it is typically much better which is why it isn't one star. read more

We stopped in late Friday after a gig after two other places turned up closed even though yelp said they were open. Entered at 10:13. They close at 10:30. They were friendly, not at all unhappy that we came in so late. We ordered quickly and the food came out super fast. Tacos, quesadilla, enchiladas, margarita. All the food was good. The check came out fast too. They did want to go home but they were so nice about it; it was an oasis of kindness in an otherwise unfriendly business. This gem is a welcome new addition to Harrison, Ohio. I am extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food, and Valle Escondido did not disappoint. Like most Mexican restaurants, you receive chips and salsa when you first sit down. At Valle Escondido, you also receive a type of queso dip as well. All of which was great! For my entree, I ordered a burrito and chimichanga combo, which came with Mexican rice and refried beans. It was all delicious! My only criticism is that the burrito had just a little too much sauce on it but it was still quite yummy. The chimichanga was to die for! I cannot recall the name of the entree my husband ordered but it was one of the items listed under Specialties. It was a skillet-type dish with rice, steak, hot dogs, corn, onions, and peppers. I couldn't resist taking a bite, and it was really good! Be aware, though, that Valle Escondido is going through some initial growing pains. They have become so popular so quickly that you may have to wait a bit for a table. It even took a little bit to place our order but once placed, the food came out quickly. Trust me, though, it's absolutely worth it! I highly recommend that you stop in and give it a try. Bon appetit! read more

The bean dip confuses me, but it's very nice they offer, the table side guac is awesome and the Cadillac Marg will have you ubering.

The food here is good, the atmosphere is good too. I got the burrito with shrimp and imitation crab and it was very good. The chips were somewhat stale but the bean dip and salsa were good. My burrito was huge and my husbands beefsteak (?) burrito was half the size. It came with rice so maybe that's why? What is not good is the restrooms. I used the women's as soon as I got there and I could smell it from the hall. While using the restroom I had to cover my nose it smelled so bad of sewage. My husband said the mens smelled like urine and that the urinal was overflowing onto the floor after being flushed. For a newer restaurant this was surprising to us. If we hadn't used the restrooms this place would likely have gotten more stars from me. We've been here a few times in the past and this is the first time encountering that awful stench. I just hope that the kitchen is better maintained than the restrooms, but one can not be sure unless you go back there. read more

This is our first time here and I'm impressed so far with how fast the service was. We ordered and 6 minutes later, our meal was in front of us. We had items off the lunch menu--Burrito Ranchero and 2 combo lunch being burrito and Chile relleno. I've visited the Lawrenceburg location and tried the Harrison location for the first time recently. I LOVE the Lawrenceburg location so I figured I would love the Harrison one too! If you like guacamole, you MUST order the table-side chunky guacamole - they bring out the ingredients and make it right in front of you and it is just so good! I order to paella mexicana and it never disappoints. My mom and I sat outside which is a nice shaded area, however, the flies were horrendous!! (Not the restaurants fault!). Service is somewhat slow, maybe because we were sitting outside and weren't in eyesight of the servers - but our server was very friendly. The inside is weirdly arranged with plenty of seating yet not much walk space. If you enjoy Mexican food, Valle Escondido's should hit the spot. read more

Made the extra drive to this spot based on a recommendation from a friend. We arrived just before 6pm on a Saturday and were sat immediately. Our timing was perfect as a very long wait developed after we arrived. Our table of 6 was sat in a large booth. Service was good and we never waited too long for anything. The place is relatively new so it is clean and has good lighting. We ordered the tableside guacamole which was great but a bit pricey. Overall, the food was good and what we expected. I didn't care for the refried beans as they were very watery and thin. The rice was just ok as well. My meal was enchiladas which I thought were just ok. Meat was dry and I needed some sauce or something to add flavor. I did like their chips and salsa and we ended the meal with sopapillas. It is worth checking out if you are nearby but I wouldn't drive out of your way to try it. read more

My waiter came by and asked if I was ready to order and I said I need a few more minutes and he just stood there staring at me, so I made it a point to start all over from the beginning of the menu and he would point at things and say try that try that try that. Love this place! Service was fast, food was delicious, restaurant was clean and they got our orders right! We went on a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was not packed but it had a good flow. We were seated immediately and our drink order was taken right away. They gave decent enough time to look over the menu. Our order was taken and the food came within 20 minutes so we didn't have to worry about filling up on chips and salsa even though the salsa tasted fresh and the chipotle cheese dip was really good. Husband had the chicken chimichanga, he was surprised that there were 2 (most places give 1 big one) and I had the quesadilla Hawaiian minus the mushrooms.
