This is the worst store ever! I ordered flooring on the 9th day of September. To date, I still don't have my flooring. I have called and called and gotten the excuse that Michael is out of the office. When I try to leave a message for him, I get "this mailbox is full". Finally got a response from Michael. According to their installer, the floor was installed on Monday, September 24. ??? Installed where? I do not have a floor. Repeated calls and visits to the store resulted in more frustration. He was going to call me back in 5 minutes on the 25th. I still have not heard from him. By the way, I paid 1/2 of the invoice as a deposit. I will be cancelling the job today at noon. read more

I don't even know where to begin! This was a BIG job, in a fairly new and higher end home. We paid good money (Approx. $25,000) to have all the flooring in our home replaced.. Hardwood, carpet and vinyl tiles.. It's important to us to try and support local businesses when we can.. This was a BIG mistake on our part. Service: 5 starts because Mike is awesome.. Even with all the 'issues' (and we had LOTS) he was very professional and Pleasant.. He bent over backwards for us.. Installation: 0 stars A NIGHTMARE! They hired JL Flooring who were very unprofessional! They did a horrible job on the installation of the hardwood flooring, large gaps between the flooring and the baseboards, uneven cuts at the bottom of the door casing into our front room, destroyed the base of our stairs by hacking the bottom (see photo), then they thought they would pacify me by putting some cheap quarter round rubber molding on the bottom to hide it. NOPE! They hired Bay Area Stairs to come in and fix it and they did an amazing job of putting a new piece over the old and it looks fabulous. They left our flooring with glue all over and there are spots where they rubbed too hard and left marks. JL Flooring also damaged our walls by hitting them with who knows what and took 3 chucks of texture off our walls, not to mention they had there dirty hand prints all over our freshly painted walls which my husband had to go back and re paint.. They were suppose put the base board back on, my husband and I busted our butts to sand them down & paint them and they installed the master bedroom, again did a crappy job corners are sticking out and not even and flush like they are in the rest of the home. Then there is the issue about the transition pieces between the hardwood and the kitchen flooring.. Again they want to put some thick pieces that you would trip on each time and looked like hell.. Vallejo flooring had to send out yet another flooring company (West Coast Floor Company-Jesus) they did a great job on the transition piece.. West Coast Floor Company are a real hardwood floor installation company! Who were both professional and respectful of our home.. Unlike JL Flooring who did a terrible job and was very disrespectful of our home and trashed it! They left big globs of glue on the carpet and our baseboard.. At one point I said I do not want them coming back into our home, find someone else to finish this job.. I was assured by Vallejo Flooring they would be better and "take care of me".. Well, that didn't happen at ALL! In the end, Vallejo Flooring gave us an adjustment (as they put it for alleged damages) of $175 for us to re-paint our walls, fix the gashes in our walls, remove the glue from the walls, carpet, flooring, fix the front door edges and bottom step and $122.50 to install the base boards.. The owner Ron & Mike both came out here and saw all the items listed. Mike came out several time before the job started, these damages were not here prior to the job staring and we certainly didn't do it.. read more

Do not use Vallejo Floor Co....we got new carpet throughout our house - one year ago when we moved to Benicia. The installation was poor - there are spots that feel as though there is no pad (it feels lower and harder). There are seams running through the middle of two rooms - we were told there was nothing they could do. We have had the carpets cleaned twice - both times the cleaner commented on the poor installation and large number of snags in the carpet (it's a berber). We expressed our unhappiness with the carpet, but there was NO OFFER to compensate us OR EVEN AN "I'M SORRY." So overall, we are not satisfied with the product, its installation, or the customer service...what else is there??? We will probably have to replace all of the carpet in the next few years - obviously we are steering clear of VFC - and would recommend than everyone else does the same! read more

I just wanted to get this information out there. I just got an unsolicited call from the carpet installer that was to install my carpet in early October. You may recall that they missed my install date and this same installer said they ordered the wrong carpet. I called Michael and he told me he would check into what went wrong. I never heard back from him. After a week I went to the store to get my money back. I was told by Alexandra (his wife) that she didn't have the authority to give me a refund and that Michael was sick. She called the police and told them she felt threatened. That was a lie. I told her to call them and that I would wait. A gentleman witnessed most witnessed most of this. The police came and told me what to do. I wound up using another company. Anyway , I just got a call from that same installer saying this company may have just skipped out (town?) without paying him for work he has done for them. He called me to see how I paid and to warn me. They paid him with a check which was no good. He can't reach them. So if you are waiting for work to be done and paid with a check you might want to check on your order. I am lucky. I paid with a credit card. Just saying????!!!! read more

I had a horrible experience with them but it gets worse. I went to another company to start this process over again. I showed them Vallejo Floor Company's quote and it was explained to me that there were hidden costs. Like charging me for more stairs than I have. Like telling me that padding was free when actually they buried it in the details. Like telling me that furniture moving was $150 when actually they charged me another $100 for the other room. The other company pointed out other things but I am tired of talking about them. I filed a complaint with the BBB (866-411-2221) and Contractors License Board of California (800-321-2752). read more

It's sucks that we have to write this review, we initially had a good experience with this company. Unfortunately this most recent experience as been anything but good customer service. We went into the store purchased carpet, Mike assisted us,drew out the perimeters in which this carpet would be cut to fit our space, then said he would call us the following week to confirm a deliver date. Welp next week came and by Thursday still no call so I called and was told that they would deliver the carpet tomorrow (Friday). I took off work Friday to wait for the carpet only to have them not deliver and be told when I called that they had no record of a scheduled reliever, and that the earliest they could do was Saturday morning. Saturday morning came still no carpet, then carpet finally arrived around noon is one large 28ft roll with no cuts as previously discussed and planned. Upon calling to seek clarification about this issue, once again "we have no record of this" and all we can do is send you someone Monday at an undetermined time to cut the carpet. Sheesh! I've heard horror stories from other customers about this company, never experienced it previously, how ever do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Took a while to find the store open but got good service when we did connect....however, they couldn't find our house at first to look at our kitchen floor. Who doesn't have gps and we live about 6 blocks from the store! Still waiting for estimate 11 days later. Called today... when was the house call?? What name was it under??~~Hello! You were there! Are you really that busy that you don't need new business? We picked a small business in Vallejo for a reason but apparently you are too busy to do flooring in an old home and to accommodate the need to have furniture moved. It wasn't this way 12 years ago when you carpeted two of my bedrooms. I read the Yelp reviews before the home visit, had I done it earlier...I wouldn't have bothered stepping into the store. I just had my floors done through this company and was very very pleased with the outcome. Alex and Michael were great to work with in the store. They were very knowledgeable about all their products and familiar with the flooring issues in this community. Their Installer, Jessie was excellent in addressing the specific needs of our home, and did an amazing job solving our issues! Hired VFC to replace carpet throughout my home including new baseboards. The estimator was able to advise me on good choices for the price I wanted to pay. I found their prices to be fair and competitive. On instillation day they arrived promptly, they worked hard and were friendly. They installed expertly giving great attention to detail. I couldn't be happier. AND they cleaned up after themselves, vacuuming and all. I would strongly recommend them and will use them in the future. read more

I went with Vallejo Floor company as it seems this is the only local carpeting place that keeps regular hours. The few other places I called were either by appt only or out doing estimates during their store hours. I was satisfied with the initial estimate and the budget carpet options they presented. They were late about an hour and a half on the day of installation and didn't call (told me they would come between 8 and 8:30am, didn't arrive until (9:45am), but I was still happy with the speed, quality, and value of their work. read more

My wife has been waiting since July for samples we want to get our floors done ,but they give us a run around they tell us it's on the truck,or are installers have it. This is very unprofessional and a big waste of our valuable time. Michael and I believe his wife works the front told me they would drop off the samples to our home tues night. That never happens. To top it off I went into their showroom oct 11,2018 today and witnessed an irate customer. He was yelling about his refund. He said they never delivered his carpet nor gave him a refund of over $2000. This worries me. Their customer service is terrible. Instead off dealing with the customer professionally she called the police on the customer telling dispatch it's a black male and she feels threatened. I guess they don't want business from anyone. I don't recommend this flooring company to anyone wanting their floors done. They don't take care of their customers. When I got home I called again for samples and Michaels wife said she couldn't hear me and forwarded me to his voice mail which of course was full so I call back the store and it went to fax machine. ZERO STARS! If you value your time and hard earned money DO NOT use this company for any reason. I don't even know how they are still in business. This review is late but needed to be posted to warn any future potential customers. When I first read the reviews back in March 2018 most of the complaints that I saw were about installation. Since we were doing the work ourselves over last summer and just purchasing the flooring I foolishly thought we wouldn't have any issues. Since they gave us the best deal for laminate flooring I went ahead and put in an order. Most of the other companies we got a quote from for this exact same flooring said they can get it in 2-3 days however they gave us an estimate of over a week for delivery which was fine but told them I absolutely had to have it within two weeks because that was when my husband took time off of work to start installing it. They assured me it would be delivered by then. The day before the flooring was scheduled to be delivered I called them to confirm the delivery for the following day since I hadn't heard from them since the day I purchased it. I was told they hadn't received it yet and would call their supplier to find out what was going on. The following week after getting no response from them about the status of our flooring I called back and was told the flooring would definitely be in by that weekend. This went on for four more weeks with them promising flooring would come in and then getting one excuse after another as to why it still wasn't there. In the end we cancelled our order and had to file a claim with our bank to get our money refunded to us. A total waste of our time!! read more

After a terrible experience of purchasing defective flooring from Lumber Liquidators, I met w/ Ron, who was helpful and very patient. I looked at a lot of flooring! After 2 days, I finally chose the Johnson Wood hand scraped Maple Stout. Ron delivered it in 2 days as promised! Of all the material, we only found 1 bad board. Not bad when compared to an entire defective box worth of material from Lumber Liquidators after only going through 3 boxes. The floors have been installed for about a month now and look amazing! Very rich looking. I'm very pleased with Ron's service and the quality of flooring I received. read more

The worst people EVER! They totally ripped us off. We spent $3200 in October 2017 and had vinyl flooring put in our kitchen, dining room and bathroom. At first, there were bubbles in the floor. The installer came out and tried to fix it and it just kept getting worse. Now it looks like waves going across our floor. The owner Mike brought the manufacturer over to look at the floor and they told him the floor was defective and to go and put in a new floor. Well, that was in February. They gave us three separate dates for new floor installation. Each time we removed cabinets, refrigerator, etc. Three times they never showed up. My husband has gone down numerous times and Mike is never there. We contacted the BBB and they contacted Mike and he told them that my husband was threatening his staff and he would no longer deal with him. All lies! Do yourself a favor and go to Lowes or Home Depot. Use a company that backs their work. We wanted to support a local business and it was a HUGE mistake. read more

We have been going round and round with vallejo floor about our carpet. It was an insurance job over two years ago and still can't get resolution. No mike, no return calls, lots of I'll look into it, but the carpet has still not been replaced. Guess it's small claims and the manufacturer as it has a warranty. So sad. Ive only given maybe one Yelp review BUT after this experience I felt the need to "Pay It Forward" as Yelp has been invaluable to me upon relocating to Northern CA. I'm in the process of a total interior renovation of my home. VALLEJO FLOOR CO is close to where I live and I was looking for a more personable buying experience than I would get at Home Depot or Lowes. ((( TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!))) Mike, the salesman assisting me was trying to be helpful while the Long Hair Blond female at the desk behind the counter motioned to him to Rush me along after 5 minutes of me asking questions about new Vinyl tile products on the market. I was advised more than twice of their 2nd location within Vallejo and that their 2nd location would be of better assistance and have more stock on hand/ display.The rudeness of the female at the desk made me try and lighten the moment as Mike was trying to be helpful which is when I realized it was 3 minutes after the 4pm closing time. Now I know why whenever I drive by the corner of Broadway and Sereno the lot is always empty. Sad, because this business is a much needed business. Lastly...in my less than 5 minutes in the store I got a wriiten estimate for flooring I nevereven looked at nor decided on written on the back of their business card for $144.76 based on my Size Requirements (What A Joke) read more

BEWARE!!! USE THEM CAUTIOUSLY!!! Everything was fine when they came to measure for a tile job we hired them for. Mike came out and did a quick measure and was sure to measure every area we wanted and even some we were on the fence about. Things went downhill fast when J.L. flooring whom the sub contracted the work out showed up! What should have been an all day job turned out to be 2 days with several return visits due to the subpar work that was done. From cracked tiles to huge gaps , cove base poorly cut and full of gaps to transition strips not notched and cut wrong. Everything that could go wrong with a tile job did on this one!! They installed wood underlayment to ensure floor when done was nice and level and somehow they managed to screw that up. When we called the owner Ron and informed him of the quality of work and our concerns he became angry and confrontational and began insulting us saying "do you know how long I been doing floors?" OR "I've been doing this since before you were born" as he spoke to a 50 year old man. The kicker was he hadn't even seen the work and refused to come inspect it at our request! Mike was the ONLY person willing to assist us. He informed us J.L. flooring would be back to right their mistakes and when they arrived they were upset and very aggressive and even with Mike!! They had a shouting match in the back room to our surprise. Finally after at least 2 more visits and floor still looked like crappie we asked Mike not to have them back as we needed to move forward and get the house rented out. We informed Mike we would seek help elsewhere due to the fact J.L. flooring had took so long, not made their appointments with us and we're late on the ones they did make and lastly just weren't going to do the job satisfactory. After many emails and videos of the shoddy work sent to vallejo floor company we were issued a $500.00 credit on bill. In the end we had to hire someone else to fix the job and our date for renting the house had to be pushed back further!! In my opinion if you want a floor job to be done right, use anyone but vallejo flooring company. I would never ever use them again or recommend them. read more

There's not too many flooring company's that can repair hardwood floors so when I came across the Vallejo Flooring Co, I was pretty excited. Mike came out right away to take a look. Once Mike left I never heard back. I called three times requesting a estimate. Each time I heard, oh sorry, I will email you tonight. NO EMAIL! Finally, I went to the store and he never had my estimate in the computer. So since, I requested a estimate, he just types something out on letter head, stating the price. No breakdown, nothing. I like these guys! I went in about 3 months ago for tile with a very limited budget and some specific ideas about what I wanted. They were extremely helpful and steered me towards some sale item that matched my needs exactly. Went I went to their warehouse to pick up the tile for my bathroom, the guy there was equally nice and sold me a half used gallon of adhesive for a good price because he said thatI would need (budget again). Today I called and asked about laying the tile. The manager patiently listened and responded while I asked a million questions (some of them probably dumb) about laying the tile my self. He didn't try and sell me on having his guys do the tile. I like these guys! read more

We hired Vallejo Floor Co for our new floor job for our home. We believe in supporting small businesses over the big box stores like Big Orange or Big Blue. From the very moment of walking into this store to the last day of installing our floors, the treatment we received was A+. I can't praise Mike and his staff enough. I have never dealt with a company who had such attention to detail, putting the customer first above all else. Mike is amazing. The entire experience of installing our floors took longer than expected due to unforeseen circumstances (not the fault of Mike or VFC) and Mike stood behind his word of the customer coming first. Mike treated us like family... Came out to the house repeatedly to check on our issue, never making us feel like we were asking too much, never complaining, always humble. You can't get this level of customer service from Big Blue or Big Orange. We highly recommend VFC for your new floors. We only completed the bottom floor (about 625 sq ft) but plan on doing the stairs and upstairs in the future and we will not look any further than Vallejo Floor Co. Thank you Mike and crew. read more
