Friendly and excellent customer service!! I called a number of local cabinet businesses in Vallejo and surrounding areas because I needed some custom wood cut for a custom shelf I was building. C&T was the only one willing to help me. I spoke with Joey on the phone and he was nice and helpful. He told me to come down and take a look to see what they had. When I got there I dealt with Tom. I needed a cabinet for a computer work station to install in a very prominent location of the house. This needed to function in a particular way, and to blend in with the shaker cabinetry already in place. I looked around Marin for a custom cabinet shop but either they were too busy (one supposes) to call back, or the yelp reviews indicated the cabinetmaker was something of a prima donna. So I expanded my search and found C & T not far away in Vallejo. I knew this place was the real deal when I first walked in the door - the raw materials were just various dimensions of hardwood lumber and heavy plywood. They hand crafted a customized cabinet set for us in their shop using our old deteriorated cabinets as a model, but made them with modified specs due to some changes we made in our interior design. This is my very first yelp review and I would like to start off by thanking all of the reviewers for C&T Cabinets. Without all of you, I would never have gotten my dream kitchen!! Sometimes you can't help but be a bit cynical if all the reviews were 5 out of 5 stars. Is this fixed? All the reviewers MUST be family members! Despite these thoughts, I made an appt with Tom and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made. From the start, I was treated with courtesy, respect and true professionalism. Never once did I feel pressure from Tom to make unnecessary additions to my kitchen. My kitchen was completed in a timely manner and I was able to stay within my budget. It's been about 2 weeks since my remodel and I'm still amazed at the change. Gone is the depressing and disgusting mid-1980's kitchen that embarrassed me whenever I invited friends/family over. I now have a kitchen that I'm proud to show off ("wow" has been the reaction). I highly recommend C&T Cabinets for anyone interested in remodeling their kitchen. This long-time and reputable outfit shouldn't be overlooked in your search for kitchen or bath cabinets. It's location and show room 'are what they are' (on Lemon St.): functional even if they may not 'show' completely well (it isn't Marin County). They sell a solid product (well made, attractive, a bit limited in range/choices) with NO manufactured wood, only solid maple and ply. They're not the savvy-st communicators perhaps, because they get busy with their work load. If there's an error, they'll work to correct it; the guys are very nice. Just ask your questions and they'll get you the answers. I found them to be honest and reliable and would recommend them, particularly because their prices are very fair. read more

Just got off the phone with Tom at C & T Cabinets. I ordered a simple shelf unit a month ago. I was told it would take 3 weeks. Tom said he'd give me a call with the exact quote for the custom paint to match my cabinets....never heard from him. Two weeks ago, I and my six yrs old son went in to see if they sell modern cabinet hinges. I am not at all a handy man therefore; I had no clue what was wrong with the hinge that I took with me. The owner and his son were very nice to us. The owner looked at the hinge I took in and fixed it, advised me that I dont need to buy a new one. Didnt charge me anything. This review has bee long overdue. We removed our built in bathroom vanity (in our 1964 house) and the space was just over that of a standard vanity. We looked at buying a cabinet and modifying it. Was gonna cost us $$$$$. Saw C&T Cabinet on Yelp and decided to see what they could offer. We were able to get a custom built cabinet with good solid wood, a granite countertop, custom staining and all the holes drilled for our bowl sinks and faucets for less than buying a modified cabinet/non-granite countertop. Tom and Joey are very professional, offered their expertise in helping us design the cabinet, were more concerned about giving us what we needed without breaking our pocketbook, and the cabinet was on time when they said it would be. Terrible communication and customer service. Asked for a quote for a bath vanity after I ordered kitchen cabinets, they never got back to me. When the cabinets came in they did not notify me. They made a measuring mistake and had to reorder some cabinets. One cabinet needed to be reglued as it was coming apart. They never set up a date/time for install and when I called they said they were on their way which was a problem as I do not live at the property. They were expensive for particle board and wood frames. Better off to go to home depot read more
