Been here multiple times in the past two years so I feel like I have given them a fair chance. The owner Armen is helpful in booking appts but the price he quotes you is not what his employees charge you. Multiple times, he had quoted me $80 for an oil change where his employee has charged me random fees such as "recycling fees." Not cool to take advantage of a customer or to assume because I'm a woman you can charge me random things and I wouldnt be aware. I was given a Groupon for an alignment as a gift they made it difficult to use and had me pay extra just for them to remove hub caps and when it finally was finished my drivers side wheel still wasn't aligned properly.Do t trust the friendly attitude its just a scam so if tour there for an alignment don't pay to have hub caps removed. read more

I had a really bad blow out on my car. I immediately called Armen explained to him what had happened. I had about 8-10 min before his vendor closed down to order 2 rear end tires. I took a photo of my Vin # as well as my tires so he knew what I had on them to replace. Within 3 min my tires were ordered and came in the next day and it took less than an hour for both tires to be put on. Blew out my tire on Saturday night from an LA pothole and was riding on the spare. Called the shop on Sunday morning and asked for a replacement, and the shop had a perfectly good used tire available. I didn't want a new tire because the other 3 are due for replacement within 6 months, so this was perfect. The owner, Armen, had the tire replaced, balanced, and installed within 45 minutes. He hardly charged me for labor so this is the first time I've ever decided to pay EXTRA because I felt like he didn't charge me enough. This guy saved my Sunday and prevented me from having to take time off work to get my tire replaced. I came here to replace TPMS sensors on my '06 Lexus. I refused to replace the sensors near Hollywood because of outrageous pricing and lack of proper customer service. The Valley Auto can reprogram most of TPMS sensors (including aftermarket ones) as long as you call in advance and provide your vehicle's info. Armen provided detailed information about the process of reprogramming sensors and the main causes for TPMS light to be on. Overall, i'm very pleased with the experience i had at Valley Auto. I needed to do a full transmission oil flush ASAP since my car was nearing 90k miles and I started to hear some not-so-great noises while driving. I came to Yelp to look up places nearby and to get pricing quotes, so quite a few inquiries were auto-generated and sent out by Yelp. Armen (owner) is a rare combination of honesty, competence, and kindness. My son's 2017 Elantra had a P301 error code (spark plug misfire of the first coil). The first quote I got was from the Pep Boys on Foothill in Tujunga across the street from McDonald's (they suggested a repair for 600+) I always trust my gut and I felt a weird sick feeling in my gut the whole time I was there. (See the review there for more details). Armen, at Valley Auto Repair, knew right away that with that error code it could only be the spark plugs, the coils, or the fuel injectors. He said the car was running fine now and that his scan showed the error code had only occurred once which to him indicated the occurrence might be an anomaly. He explained that his diagnostic machine could isolate what was causing the error code. He showed me the spark plugs and said they looked fine, and the fuel injectors looked fine. He said, he would switch the coils so that if the error code came up again, depending on which code came up it would indicate if the coil had gone bad. He also said coils don't go bad that often (Pep Boys wanted me to replace all the spark plugs and all the coils even though they told me they saw nothing wrong --do you think that is confusing advice? I thought so). Valley Auto is my new auto repair place, and I suggest you give them a try too. I personally dread going to mechanics because of the experience I had with Pep Boys, but Armen was a pleasant and very welcome surprise. Very highly recommended. read more

Being a car enthusiest most of my life, lately I feel like I'm so being tested. After 2 horrible mechanic incidents in only the past 5 months...Lets just say that riding a scooter to work has never looked so good. Its Saturday morning, 4th of July weekend, and Im scrambling to find anyone who is willing to fix my turbo down pipe exhaust leak. Either the shop is closed for the long weekend or they will not touch my car. Finally, the Heavens open and I get an email back saying "Hi Eddie, no problem, we can take care of that for you today." WHAT!?!? Not only is he willing to work on it, he can do it today...No Problem! These guys are Amazing. He was quick to assure me his mechanics are professional and see no problem with my car. A few hrs later he lets me know not only they fixed a botched previous install of my down pipe, they fixed a broken intercooler bracket, and diagnosed a check engine light. All with a smile and thanked ME for choosing them. The place: I'm a disabled person who can appreciate the little things in life. The location was very easy to get around in. No stairs. Clean well lit bathroom with plenty of room and easy to reach soap, sink, paper towels, light switches, and mirror. The waiting room was big and airy with lots of comfortable upholstered chairs. There was a cold water dispenser and all the fixings for coffee. I will most definately be back and spread the word. Shops like this are hard to find. Finding the right place to take your car for repairs can be a gamble sometimes, as it is you worry enough about your car but then again you have to worry about the honesty and integrity of the mechanic you choose to work on your car. Well I can tell you these worries were not an issue at Valley Auto Repair. I had an oil change done on my MBZ E55 with original oil and filter (that I requested), it was quick and the price was very reasonable. Armen also had my fluids topped off at no extra charge since I had told him when I get it serviced at my local dealer that's what they usually do but due to the madness going on I didn't want to take it to the dealer. I was welcomed here by Sam and he was really friendly. I was really impressed with the owner, Armen. I was dealing with this extended warranty company called American Auto Shield that their main goal is to delay and not to cover. Armen really helped me big time because he stayed on top of it and kept calling the insurance company. Not all businesses or owners will be hands on like him. Some owners will don't even care and tell you they will not call or maybe bother with it. Armen did follow through even though the insurance company gave him a tough time. Also guys be careful with extended warranties. They may cover the parts but they may come back and give you reasons not to pay for it or worst delay it so you get tired of waiting.
