They also have most of our other outdoor "pets" covered, too - from rabbits to squirrels. They have also got supplies for dogs, cats, "indoor" pet birds, and other domesticated animals. In my experience, service is ALWAYS quick, helpful, and friendly. I've never had to return anything, but I would expect good service. The big box shops have the mass produced feed at, I think, sometimes lower prices, but it's worth it to us and our outdoor family to get the good stuff (and it's not always more money). The back wall at the register is also always a fun read -- they have a regularly changing wall with tons of humorous wood signs/plaques and they carry some other fun giftable items. I have done some present shopping here from time to time. (And, no - I did not give my wife a bag of bird seed for Christmas! That would have been more of a birthday thing...)

    I brought my Cub Cadet mower to Peninsula Feed in late March 2026 for diagnosis of an electrical…read moreissue. At drop-off, I also provided a bag of new parts intended for use if needed, including an ignition switch, starter solenoid, PTO switch, safety switches, and the mower key. These items were handed directly to the intake employee, Brian. I was originally told the shop was about three weeks out. After not receiving any updates, I followed up on May 19 At that time, Doug initially had difficulty locating my mower in their system under my name, phone number, and ticket number. He had to call me back. It was eventually found and he called me back. I was told it had already been inspected and they were still working on it and he would call me by the end of the week. No follow-up call was received, so I contacted them again on May 27th. At that time, I was given different and conflicting explanations regarding when the mower was received and what work had been completed. I was told mower hadn't been looked at yet and it was just brought in on May 19th. when I told him that was when I called to check on it he said he would check and put me on hold. He came back and said the ignition switch and a ground wire had been replaced, the engine was running, and they are still looking at the mower deck because it was not engaging. I asked about the bag of parts that I had left with Brian when I dropped it off and Doug said he didn't know about the parts but would check with the people in the shop. The next day Doug called me back and I was then quoted over $900 to replace the PTO clutch, which I declined. When I picked up the mower on June 1, I spoke with Doug and Brian. The PTO clutch was removed (surprised it was removed) and handed to me and I paid for the work they did. The bag of customer-supplied parts provided at intake could not be located at pickup. Staff were unable to account for where the items went or confirm their status. Overall, my experience involved significant delays, inconsistent information about the repair status, and the loss of customer-supplied parts ($200.00 in parts) while the mower was in their possession. They took no responsibility for loosing the part and didn't even offer an apology. Only a rude response and a dismissive we will call if we find them.
