Don't really like the staff who works there. Unpleasant and unfriendly. I wouldn't be comfortable going there again

So when I picked her up they showed me her tail and said something about a gland. Nothing about the fact that they had cut her tail . Het tail has been oozing all night and day. I was lied to. Nothing like this has ever happened before and my dog has been getting groomed for the last 5 years every month. I do not recommend this place at all!

Before driving an…read morehour, I called ahead to confirm if they had birds for adoption or if it was just a supply store, as I was specifically interested in that. The guy I spoke with said yes, they do have birds for adoption, but didn't clarify much beyond that. I assumed it would be like a Petco-style place where you can meet and adopt birds. When I arrived, I was shocked by how dusty the store was and how poorly maintained the cages looked. The birds' habitats seemed depressing and unsuitable -- definitely not the kind of environment where birds should live. When I asked about adopting a bird, I was told flat out, "THEY ARE NOT FOR ADOPTION." I was confused because didn't I call to ask that? And they said yes? Then I asked, "Neither of them?" He said only two types of birds were actually available for adoption, and those were the same birds you can find at Petco. If I had known this, I wouldn't have driven an hour I was specifically interested in African Grey parrots, which they had but not for adoption and since they are not available at Petco, I thought they would have one there for adoption. We were looking at the birds and we were never told "if you are interested in adopting these are available" which I would've appreciated. I decided to go to Petco after which is 5 min away from my house! and got a jenday conure bird there. Anyway, I ended up buying some sunflower seeds for a bird I already have at home, but he wouldn't eat them, which was weird because those are his favorite. It turned out the bag was expired, which explains why. Overall, this place felt really poorly managed, especially regarding the birds' living conditions. They desperately need better habitats that allow the birds space to stretch their wings and have a more natural, healthy environment. I do not recommend this place.

I don't usually post about this kind of thing, but at a certain point it becomes a pattern worth…read moredocumenting. On March 28, I placed an order with Petco after confirming all items were listed as available for same-day pickup or delivery. At checkout, I was then told one or more items were suddenly unavailable and would need to be shipped, despite still showing as in stock. As a 100% service-connected disabled veteran with mobility limitations, I don't use delivery for convenience, I use it when it's necessary. I have a service dog and multiple cats, and this order (over $250) was meant to cover an entire month of food and supplies. On a fixed disability income, that's not a small purchase. Delivery was estimated at three days. I allowed for standard delays. But by day six, the order hadn't even been picked up by the carrier. I reached out to Petco and went through multiple rounds of emails over several days. Each response was vague, with no real answers and no attempt to resolve the issue, just repeated statements that they would "look into it." No replacement. No escalation. No solution. Ultimately, I had to resolve it myself by canceling the order on April 7. Because of this delay, I had to go back out and purchase additional pet food while still waiting for answers, something I was specifically trying to avoid due to mobility limitations. And now I must wait 10 business days for a refund to go purchase my original items. The refund issued also did not match the full value of the missing items. My request included four items, but Petco's response referenced only three SKUs, leaving part of the order unaccounted for. Petco often promotes its support for veterans. That support was not reflected here. What makes this more frustrating is that it's not an isolated incident. I've experienced similar shipping and fulfillment issues with Petco before. And like many people, I sometimes end up going back, not because the service is reliable, but because options are limited. That's the reality with large corporations, sometimes they're the only choice, and you hope the experience will be different next time. This time, it wasn't. At a minimum, companies that position themselves around service and support should be able to follow through on basic order fulfillment, or take accountability when they don't.
