THEY ARE THE BEST! For frame of reference, I've wasted a lot of money on my 95' - 80 series bringing it to mechanics who'd take the job all around my town of Elk Grove. No one has ever been able to fix or explain some of the issues I was having with it. Then I found these guys on a blog. Best thing I could've done was bring it here. Hands down if you're looking for people that are experts at all types of Land Cruisers this is the place. They specialize and I don't use the word lightly. Jocelyn is their costumer service rep and she's sweet, helpful and all around amazing. George I believe is the proprietor and head mechanic? Either way, he knows his sh*t! Every little nuance about any particular series, he knows. Every question about my truck which I felt were very nuanced ones had a swift and informative answer from him. Georg did a front axle job and installed a front locker on my '97 801series last fall. He did some brake work too, then 300 miles later (I'm in Reno) a caliper came partially off and dragged on the inside of the front wheel, scoring it. I called Georg and no questions: he paid for my local mechanic to replace the caliper and sent me a new wheel. I've never met a mechanic who knows Cruisers this well AND stands behind his work. Found this place by recommendations from other LC owners and Im so glad i found him. Really hard to find an LC specialist in the Bayarea so I made the far trip to have him checkout my rig. He's got an awesome shop with lots of other vintage LCs. George is very patient and explained everything with what was going on with my LC, he knows his stuff and thats the reason why I came all the way out to see him. I brought in my 2018 LC200 in for installation of suspension kit, rear bar, a 40 gallon auxiliary tank, and a secondary battery. My reasoning for one star: 1. Shop left 4 bolts in the engine bay on the engine cover, I was lucky to have checked after couple hundred miles out of the shop. 2. Poor trimming work to fit the rear bar, felt like they didn't even give a damn about your car. 3. Charged me to replace OEM air filter without my consent. 4. The alignment they had performed was inaccurate and unprofessional done. The tire pressures were 36 on the left and 44 on the right. 5. Botched installation of suspension kit. Started noticing squeaks from the rear shocks, after I brought the car in to an ARB certified Toyota deader @WellesleyToyota, they found that the fit kit that comes with the suspension, that includes dedicated washers and bushing for the suspension, was not installed. In addition, the left shock wasn't seated correctly, and they over tighten the top mounting nut that resulted damage to the struct, now I have to get replacement shocks from ARB USA. 6. The digital fuel level sensor has been faulty from time to time. The gauge would show empty even when it is full. Overall, the experience cannot be any worse. It has been really hard working with the people at Valley Hybrids/Cruiser Brother. Before the install, I have asked for a quote repetitively since September of 2019, but I never got one until the day I picked up my car after installation. And as I mentioned earlier, they charged for things that I didn't give consent to. They avoid you when problems arise after installation. Summarizing this review, If you love your rig, or care about your safety when driving on the interstates, you SHOULD avoid this business, PERIOD. read more

My car was leaking diff oil from the transfer case. Me being somewhat mechanically inclined attempted to fix it. Researched what I could On IH8mud forums. Split the case and found out I need to drop the transfer case to change the front seal on my 100 series. After doing some research I found Georg. I called and confirmed it needed to be dropped. Set up and appointment. Resealed the case and took the car there. The process was easy. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my dumb questions. His quote was accurate. Upon picking up the car he told me areas to work on and how to do it on a budget. He's a true enthusiast and supportive of all mudders. Especially if you clean under you car before you bring it there. Haha I wouldn't hesitate to take my cruiser there for any further repairs beyond my skill level and tools I have available. I found out about Valley Hybrids through several Land Cruiser friends. Georg at Valley Hybrids and his crew are truly amazing! They are Toyota Land Cruiser Guru's ! They live , breathe, everything Land Cruiser and it shows with their expert skills, knowledge and in identifying the problems at hand and fixing things the correct way, Along with best ways to upgrade or restore everything Land Cruiser! I took my 80 series Land Cruiser ( Lexus LX450) in for a regear to lower gears and rear harrop Locker install. I spoke with Georg on the phone about which gear set to go with, and he expertly provided me the best option for my needs. I had, had a toyota truck , 20 yrs ago that had the low 5:29's and Quick locks, Marlin 4.7 in it, 35's and a 4 cyl motor. I had thought I'd need 4:88's with this 6 cyl Land Cruiser, but Georg told me that 4:56's would be the correct way , especially since I was gonna stay with 33" tires. ( I've had lots of other trucks with big tires and am past that in my retirement ) We just wanted a little more torque and wanted a rear locker. So 4:56 gears was the way. His team also installed the Harrop Rear locker that I had heard about for several years, and knew I wanted when I did any axle work to my cruiser. Turns out Valley Hybrids are some of the only ones that have them ! I also had them fix my steering with several components.They also installed a factory locker switch in the correct location, those details are why I believe in Valley Hybrids. I know they did extra stuff as well cause that's how they are ! They love Land cruisers and they want all Land Cruisers that go through their shop to be expertly fixed, upgraded or brought back to stock ! I can't say enough about Georg and Valley Hybrids !!! They know it all, have done it all and carry every part for Toyota Land Cruisers. They are AMAZING !!! I highly recommend Valley Hybrids ! read more

Brought in my 80, it had all the normal oil leaks, plus the main crank bolt was stuck on. (I had to abandon the effort to get it off at home. I left the crew a very detailed set of notes about work to be preformed/inspected. And they actually followed my notes, plus they made their own notes on my print out as they did the work.
