I've been having a hard time finding a nail salon that can do my nails the way I want. I've been to Valley Nails a couple of times now and they never seem to let me down. The laaaaaast time I came here... let me tell you! Hannah did my mani and pedi! Omg she was so amazing! She's very attentive, caring, sweet and paid close attention to her work.I told her what I wanted and showed her a picture and she made sure I got what I asked for. She took her time with me and did not rush at all. I had my pedi done about a month and a half ago and it still looks fresh! That's how amazing she is. I was able to get a last minute appointment for both my daughter and I. I wasn't so sure about how the service would go upon entry due to the very strong smell of materials used. Yikes I came with my nails already done, I just needed French tips painted. He charged me $40 at the end of it. I called prior to coming in and was told French gel is $15, but in my case it was $15 French, $15 more because I chose black (considered an extra color change service), and $10 for cuticle maintenance which I refused. If you go nail techs, you know your $40 for gel work is towards efficiency and quality. In Valley Nails case, $40 was for taking one hour to draw 10 lines and black gel polish! That's so crazy they can charge for a "color change" within the same visit here! LOL This is my second time coming for a gel only service, and it seems the man just decides when to up charge if he feels you're not paying enough. Crazy! read more

I absolutely appreciated the nail technician's attention to detail she has. She has given me exactly what I ask, the last 2 times she has done my nails. I do not appreciate the lack of consideration for being on time. I showed up yesterday with an appointment, signed in, and waited for 31 minutes. I saw she was busy with a client so I waited. She dispatch's the client that she had and goes back to her station; the whole time I was seated in the waiting area. I go up to the front and tell the girl at the desk that I had been waiting for over 30 mins with an apt. She said "oh, your technician (prefer not mention name) said she called your name." I told her I was sitting in the waiting area the whole time and looking at her and didn't hear her call me not once. I went back and had my fill done. There was no apology for the long wait and the vibe was completely off. Her work is detailed but I would prefer to try other technicians who have gotten great reviews not only for their great work but also for being kind, and friendly. Jessica has done my nails at Valley. Her work is always also impeccable, she's kind, and friendly. Unfortunately, she has not been there the last 2 times I've been back at Valley Nail's. I came here after hearing really good things about this salon, and as someone new to the area that prioritizes their nails I was happy to find a place that came so recommended by the majority of people on here. I, however , did not have a good experience. I made an appointment for a fill in and it seemed like it was never written down because once I arrived there was confusion. My nail tech then rushed through my fill in, and at one point used the drill so much on a nail that my nail bed was burning. Instead of clipping off any areas where lifting had occurred between my nail and the acrylic she just put nail glue around the edges of my nails. Perhaps this is a standard practice in some places , but I haven't seen this in my 15+ years of getting my nails done. I also have bumps where the acrylic wasn't smoothed on some nails. I had asked for a French manicure with light blue instead of white and I had to ask for a nude color to be put on first. There is blue gel polish all over my cuticles, the polish is messy, and on my thumb and a few other fingers there is hair/fibers in the polish. Maybe I just went in on an off day for the salon as it seemed they had a fair amount of regulars in. They offer a lot of services, and their prices are reasonable. However, I did not receive the quality of a $70 service. I did not notice a lot of these issues until I got outside in brighter lighting , and at that point I just didn't even trust them to fix the set and just decided to call it a day. read more

When I tell you I gasped, I GASPED because their paint job with regular polish is HORRIBLE... To give you context, I called on a Friday evening to see if they were available for a pedicure. My normal salon was too booked for a walk-in and given the great reviews for this place, I thought it would be good. Upon my arrival, I was quickly seated into a pedicure chair. I chose the deluxe pedicure and didn't pay much attention since I was just relaxing on my phone. The preparation for the polish felt nice so I thought "what could go wrong?" I was mistaken. I chose a baby pink color for my toes and proceeded to remain on my phone. When the lady was finished, I looked down and thought "OH HELL NAH, I could've done a better job" :( my nail polish was uneven, all over my cuticles, underneath my toes, and streaky. I paid and tipped because she did touch my feet (anyone deserves a tip for that LOL) but I am never coming back!!! I went home and just removed the polish myself and repainted my toes to my liking. I really wanted to like this place but I think the good reviews and pics only speak for acrylics, not for those who like regular, simple polish. I went in for a fill and two cracked nails. But instead of properly removing the cracked nails, the tech I had placed acrylic over it. Because the cracks opened a slit into my nail bed causing water to get trapped under causing this. The other nail broke the next day and when I reached out to get it fixed they couldn't take me because they were over booked. This place used to be my go to but after this experience, I'm not returning or referring people. This latest experience has shocked and annoyed me. When the tech was doing my nails, 5 other nail techs walked by and watched her work. Not one of them stopped her or said anything about her properly doing my nails. I really wanted to like this place because it's been so hard to find a consistently great nail salon in this area. I was visiting back from New York, and decided to give this place a try. I scheduled an appointment and was seen 1 HOUR LATE, I kid you not. The place was PACKED on a Saturday, and I even heard them asking patrons if they wanted to add on a pedicure too on top of their manicures. Are you serious? You're one hour behind on your customers and have the capacity to do more? I was definitely not the only one waiting with an appointment. One nail tech eventually starting soaking off my power dip nails, and I ended up getting moved to another chair so that someone else could work on my new set. Annoying, and scattered. But what was even more out of line is that the station was COMPLETELY FILTHY! There were NAILS from the last girl that I saw sit there! The towel was not clean, nothing was cleared. See photo here. When the guy came back to the station to see that I was there, he looked at it (and you could tell he debated whether to clean up the station or not).... AND HE DIDN'T! He just did my nails like that.. with the last girls nails and shit everywhere! He was not clean with it. He ended up doing an okay job, but I knew it was not up to par compared to the place I went to back in New York. The manicure started to chip and peel after about a week in minor places, but it was still doable. It did last me about 2.5 weeks before one completely popped off, which is when I decided to go get a new one elsewhere. I will not be returning. The 2 stars is for a decent manicure and a good price $42. But the lack of stars were definitely due to chaos, cleanliness, and service. read more

But the one I'm most pissed off about is today. My daughter and I had an 11 am appointment in which we waited 15-20 mins still before anyone got to me which was even longer for my daughter. So far OK. Then I repeatedly told the girl that my daughter wanted a COW print design on her toes and she kept acknowledging that yes she heard me. Unfortunately I had to sit far when they soon began on her pedi. I even repeated myself to the guy who started that wanted a cow design. As soon as her pedi was done I noticed her toes were completely blank. No design. I then asked them if anyone was going to do the design and she said yes we will get to her. I only waited 2 mins before noticing that they began helping others while my kid sat there waiting for her manicure. I asked AGAIN... anyone going to help her? They said "Oh she wants a mani too?" Uhm I specifically asked for the princess MANI PEDI. Of course she does. As I'm about to leave I had to asked for the 3rd time who's going to do her design? The lady then says "your daughter didn't say anything". I repeated myself once again. I told two of your employees twice?! The worst part isn't even begun. I go to pay for the mani and pedis and she says that she charged me for the hot wax for my pedicure. I clearly did not get one and she said they put it on my daughter. Who puts HOT WAX ON A 10 year old!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?! I didn't notice because I had my back turned while getting my manicure but seriously!!!!! They are so damn lucky she didn't get any burns on her legs because she complained it was really hot when they put it on, or else I'd sue. Never coming to this establishment again. I wish I would've looked at their Yelp reviews before going in. I found Valley Nails on IG and liked their work so reached out to make an appointment for acrylics, this is my first time getting acrylics. I show up on time and tell them I have an appointment, they don't look like they have any record of it because I'm asked if I'm someone else, but I'm told to wash my hands and take a seat. They're super busy and not maintaining a 6-feet distance between each client. I wait 15 minutes and flag someone and ask how much longer the wait is, she says another 5 mins. One of the nail techs who I learn later is Andy pulls down his mask to sneeze (so gross especially during a global pandemic). We're off to a bad start and I should've just left. Finally, I'm seen by Lyna, I show her my inspiration picture and she gets to work. She cuts my nails but doesn't file them down so when they eventually grow out the edges will be super jagged. The nail cutter doesn't look like it's been sanitized or will be sanitized. She uses a drill bit to buff out my nail (but doesn't clean out my cuticle), those look like they've also been used and will not be sanitized after me. She glues on the acrylics and then uses a purple liquid and what looks like dip powder to apply on top of the acrylics. She carefully puts away the remaining purple liquid, she for sure is gonna reuse that on the next person and wipes off the applicator brush and puts it away, that brush probably will not be cleaned after me. She files down my nail and I'm pretty sure that file has also been used before. Anyone who walks in for an appointment or calls for an appointment Lyna tells them to come in 15 to 30 minutes. This is why they can't adhere to appointment times. A girl next to me was getting her nails done by Andy and she was vocal about how she didn't like her nails. Andy rolled his eyes and told her if you don't like it go elsewhere. She said she didn't like the shape and he argued with her that was how the shape should be. Overall I left super dissatisfied, if Lyna couldn't do the art I wanted she should've told me. If they couldn't get me in at my appointment time they should've said something. I think they just don't care about their customers and are all about getting as many people in and out for money. Or maybe they don't care about new customers. TLDR; Cleanliness - 0/5. Their only safety protocol is you washing your hand when you get there. They don't maintain 6 feet between each customer. They don't clean their equipment or work station after each client. Service - 0/5. My appt was at 11 but I had to wait 20 minutes before I was seen. Technique - 0/5. See pictures. If you want Insta-baddie nails, this is not the place. read more

They lift quickly, you can see in my images that it's a fresh set and they lifted within a week. I went back in June and that set lasted me 5 days. I'm in the health care industry so I am constantly walking around, Jessica will massage me to the point I am always falling asleep. Went here for my first ever mani pedi with my sister. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The pedicure was so relaxing and I plan on coming back for both services. The mani was so sturdy and beautiful, I wanted a simple design and short acrylics so it was done really fast and they came out so beautiful. The pedicure chairs are massage chairs and I love them!
