I was really disappointed by my experience with the service and quality of nails at this salon. I asked for round nails, and the technician working with me trimmed them down into square shapes. I repeatedly told her that I didn't prefer the squares, to which she responded that my nails were too short for anything round, and continued cutting them into squares. I kept pressing that I did not want a square shape, and after she had already cut all my nails down into the wrong shape, she eventually she caved and filed them into something more round. By then, they were much shorter than I would have liked. The technician applied three layers of gel, but unevenly - the beds of my nails were bumpy. She got some gel on my fingers and didn't wipe it off. The gel also started chipping within a couple of days, and all of it peeled off in a week.
Had to make last minute mani apt due to gel polish coming off and didn't want to sit in traffic to go to my regular salon. This place was a good alternative, conveniently located inside Mira Mesa Mall. Lisa was my tech, she's patient, not really rushed, but was cutting it close to ripping the side of my thumb when she was filing too fast. No bumps or bubbles on CATEYE polish, so I guess that's good! My backup or plan B salon.
This was my first time at valley nails, I think her name was Tina but she did my manicure and I absolutely love what she did! The nail art and the cute little stickers made my nails look so cute! I would definitely come again and request her to do my nails. The environment of the place is also really nice everyone is so nice and welcoming.
I've been going here for the past 5 years and still getting my nails done here even though I live in Chula Vista. I love Getting my nails done with Stephany. I started off with conservative style nails to fun designs. Once you walk in you are greeted with a hello and they call you by your name. Which is very welcoming. Once you find a great nail lady who know your style you stay with here which I have. Thank you Stephany for always making me feel welcomed and have the best nail designs.
I've been doing my nails at Valley Nails for over 5 years now and I absolutely love the service and the atmosphere! Their prices are reasonable and their services is exceptional ! I've tried other nail salons around the area or in other places when I haven't been able to get in with them due to needing a last minute appointment but I always come back here. I recommend this place to everyone I know and have had friends that visit from out of town fall in love and talk about wanting to come back when they visit next ! 100/10 would recommend
Stephanie is the first nail technician I've come across who truly has a passion for what she does. She is always taking extra time and effort to ensure that my nails are up to her standards. She's also very creative, so I tend to leave the artistic ideas up to her imagination. :) I'm so glad I found Stephanie because now she's the only person I go to for my nails. Thanks to her, I get compliments on my nails everywhere I go. Not to mention, she does a great job at doing her best to preserve the integrity of my real nails as they are not acrylic. Thanks, Stephanie! Side note: my nails in the photo are about a week old and they're lasting so well!
Stephanie and Kathy are great!!! Stephanie did my red acrylics perfect for the fall season. I love the almond shape and color. I've been coming to Valley Nails for years and love it here. Everyone is so welcoming and nice, and they offer complimentary water and drinks. Very clean and organized space too. Perfect for having a self-care relaxation day. I've been going to Valley Nails for a while now and couldn't be happier with their services! Holly is my go to for nails, and she does an incredible job at recreating any designs I show her. For pedicures, Lisa is amazing--she really digs in deep and makes sure my feet feel brand new every time. Even when Holly or Lisa aren't available, all the other ladies at Valley Nails are fantastic as well! I used to go to Tori Nails, but Valley Nails has won me over with their fair pricing, exceptional service, and friendly staff! Highly recommend!!!
I decided to cheat on the place I usually go to because my last two pedis weren't as great as before. I brought my daughter and sister in law for mani pedis. It's my daughter's 10th birthday and she has a wonderful experience. Usually my daughter doesn't let me cut her nails, but she was comfortable here and got a beautiful style on her nails. My sister in law us usually doesn't get mani/pedis but even she was impressed with hers. I got a full acrylic set with a pedi. Stephanie understood immediately that I don't like it to be really long but not thick. I haven't had a great set in a long time. I'm so happy with the experience I will definitely go again.

This was my third visit here and there's a reason why I keep coming back. The salon itself is very well lit and super clean. They have brand new spa chairs and all the nail techs here are (to say the least) very talented. Stephany has done my gel mani all 3 times and she does such an amazing job. They're all super sweet and really take care of their clients. They also have some amazing pedi options, my favorite is the one with the mask and hot stone massage! So worth the money. If you guys are looking for a nail place to go to, please come here! You will not be disappointed. I am so happy with how my nails turn out every single time! read more

Haven't gotten my nails done in years and decided to treat myself for my birthday- everyone was very friendly and Holly did a lovely job on my nails. I love coming to Valley Nails! I've had my nails done by Stephanie, Tina, and Holly and they've all done a stellar job with different nail shapes and complicated designs. Myself and two friends have come every few weeks for two years and have yet to be anything less than thrilled with our nails! I came in with a photo of nails I wanted and they did a great job. I rarely leave happy w my nails, but this time I was ecstatic :) I love my nail set and the ladies are so sweet and fast. Great service! I was a walk-in and they were able to work on my nails right away (just a gel manicure for an upcoming interview). The person who did my nails set me up at the pedi station. It was very relaxing and we didn't talk much (which is good since I was practicing questions in my head). She took her time, but all in good standing because my nails came out beautifully! I only paid $35 when I was used to paying $45 for even worse service from another place. I highly recommend! Just prepare to for the time in case you are rushing for whatever reason. Love this location! I started going to Stephany for my acrylic nails and she does a wonderful job every time. She is very detailed in her shaping and coloring so they are the perfect shape and thin to look more natural! She's super sweet and makes sure she gets the perfect shape I wanted. They're very friendly and offer a water bottle when you arrive for your nails. Which is a nice touch. The salon itself is very cute!! Very clean and adorable design. They seem to keep everything wiped down and sanitized. They have two books filled with acrylic colors. I'm hoping they get more colors too as time goes on! But they offer both matte and shiny top coats, which is amazing since I'm obsessed with matte colors. I'd recommend this salon!! I always call ahead for an appointment. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT TAKING CARE OF YOUR NAILS. I would give this 0 stars if I could. I had Gel x nails on and I came in for a soak off (i usually do this myself but i'm in SD for a couple of weeks and don't have my supplies with me). I told her what I wanted, and the lady comes in (after i patiently waited for her to finish her lunch) and she starts to pull them off. I could have done that myself but I DIDNT WANT TO DAMAGE MY NAILS. When I tell her she says that's how it's supposed to be done because they were lifting. I told her to look at how she peeled off the top layer of my nails and she said: that's the glue, i will file them. She kept trying to tell me I was wrong. UMM excuse me ? this isn't the first time I get my nails done... I know what proper nail care looks like. SHE STILL TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY $10 she didn't even use any product !! read more

My daughter (12) and I have been coming here since they reopened after covid. We absolutely love it here. We have been to other salons and just weren't thrilled with the service or work done. We came to Valley Nails and felt right at home. Everyone is so kind and professional. My pedicures are on point and the gel lasts forever on my feet. I don't ever feel rushed out, they take their time making sure I am happy with everything. My daughter was nervous about getting her nails done but they are all amazing with her and make her feel comfortable. She gets so excited to come to the nextcappointment to see what design she is going to do next. Stephanie remembers us and always does her best to get us in right away, even if we don't call ahead. Before you read the entire review, please know that I attempted to resolve this issue before posting here because I believe that mistakes happen and businesses deserve a chance to handle the issue before being called out on public forums. I messaged them via Facebook messenger more than once to deal with this issue but despite my messages showing as being read, no one has responded. So here we are. First, when I arrived at my scheduled appointment time, all nail techs were working on other clients. No big deal if all else had gone well. They did my nails at the same time as my toes which is beyond annoying because I'm spending the whole time leaning to one side to let them work on the opposite hand. Nothing relaxing about this at all. Both the person doing my nails (Stephanie) and the tech doing my toes cut my cuticles. Stephanie cut at least 4 of my cuticles badly enough that they were painful for several days. One of them was close to getting infected and I had to put Neosporin on it regularly. It took 5 days to stop being painful to the touch. My cuticles literally were more torn up after my appointment than when I went in. She didn't ensure the polish covered my nails completely either, so they were grown out in less than a week, which in 20 years of getting my nails done has never happened. My nails have chipped and the polish is coming off after one week. One minute hand massage, at best. No leg or foot massage whatsoever. I've never been to a place that does nothing even with basic pedicure. No hand massage either. My toe nail polish is chipping after a week when my toe polish normally lasts a month. They also didn't enforce mask requirements. I really wanted to like this place given the great reviews but definitely never going back. read more

Stephany did a wonderful job on my dip nails. Loved how they came out! She was friendly and courteous all while answering the phones and managing the place. They're able to get the dip nails thin to appear as natural as possible. Definitely going back for a pedicure soon. Prices can't be beat! read more
