Dried beef jerky trying to be brisket
    Liz G.

This place reminds me of a hospital cafeteria. The food is horrible! The sauce taste like apple sauce and vinegar. The beef "wanna be brisket" is so dry they should call it beef jerky! The links taste store bought and the bbq baked beans taste like a mix of refried Mexican. beans and some kind of sweet Tomato sauce. I will never come here again... it was cheap food and a waste of calories and time... save yourself the trip and order a McRib from McDonald's. The peach cobbler was supposed to be my happy ending... I swear I saw him cut it out of a box of Marie Calendars and slide the plate into the microwave... ‍!!! Just don't do it!

I ordered chicken fajitas from here, and I had the best chicken fajitas that I've ever had!! Well marinatined , made to order , with the smoke flavor!! Pico was on point too!! They were still nice and hot when I got home 10 minutes later!!! Definition of food cooked fresh!! ------------------------------------------------ 4-26-20 I need my Tex-mex fix to start the week so I go 1/2lb of chicken and 1/2lb of beef fajita. The chicken fajitas are alway presidential but the beef wasn't the best I've had. That flavor on the chicken fajitas ‍. They did forget my beans and rice Im going to have my receipt ready for you when I return Valley Ranch. The Hispanic gentleman that took my order was very courteous and had good energy!

Rubber band found inside brisket baked potatoe.

Bad management ***Horrible experience *** My Husband found this rubber band in his mouth after taking a bite out of this brisket baked potato. I immediately called valley ranch and asked for manager and was appalled by the response I received . "Well we put rubber bands around our boxes " (so your letting me know there is actually rubber bands around your food ) " so it could of fell in when you open box " so your saying my husband put that in his potato? First off none of our boxes were packed with rubber bands That evening . So no . All I received was "I'm sorry we put it around the boxes " of course after chowing down on that rubber band we did not proceed to finish the baked potato . Me being a regular customer I just expected more out of this response (can I replace your meal? )(Would you like your money back on the potato? ) but I revived nothing to that manner just got accused for putting it in the food. Certainly lost a customer after this experience . And the really sad thing is I'm a former restaurant manager and have been in the business for 15 years and I would never treat a customer that way .

    Very relaxing inside!

Absolutely love this place! The onion rings are perfection, so do not miss. The chopped beef sandwich was huge and great bread. Can't wait to go back and try more off their menu, the place smells like heaven when you walk in

Disclaimer:  This review solely represents my experience with this business on one or more occasions.  It is not my intent to encourage nor discourage anyone from patronizing this establishment but rather, to offer my opinion of the facts that occurred during my visit(s).  I tried Valley Ranch on a whim. I ordered the meat combo plate with ribs and brisket with baked beans and corn on the cob. The meat was overcooked and dry especially the brisket. He really gave me a bad cut. The ribs better but still not good and tender. The corn on the cob tasted like it had been sitting in water for way too long. The corn had no taste of anything but water when I bit into it, even after salt, pepper, and butter were added. The beans were very thick but definitely the best of my meal. My coworker comes here for the potatoes so if I happen to venture here (not likely soon), I guess I will try that. I don't have high hopes but try on your own and you might fair better...they did have a nice lil crowd.

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

I think this is one place that I would trust to go out of my comfort zone on food and everything will be phenomenal.

He showed up, looked disheveled. T-shirt was out, messy with food crumbs all over his shirt. He had a dirty cloth in his hands. Took our drink order and our meal. Then he never came back. Again we asked the hostess to intervene. Got our food. He never came back to refill our drinks or take away our dirty dishes or ask if wanted more fish. Other tables in his section had dirty dishes on them and needed to be cleared. We looked for him and saw he was shooting the breeze with coworkers instead of waiting on customers. We asked hostess when KJ came to work, thinking he might be at the end of his shift and was tired. He started his shift at 4 pm and we came to eat at 6 pm. Overall, he needs more training to be a waiter or needs to be fired! We will return to BBD, but at Shenandoah location next time because the food is excellent!!

Some when it's not busy and some when it's very busy around happy hour. Their hh is from 3-6 daily where they have $2 off shots and cocktails. I've tried a few menu items too. This latest visit I tried the 8pc buffalo wings. Many bars have wings, and they should be at least edible if not awesome. I know Texas isn't Anchor Bar in Buffalo, but good wings are not hard to pull off for most bars. I chose the gochujang wings since they were recommended and turns out they are really good. I didn't ask for the celery and carrots, which they charge more for, but they gave them to me anyway. They were playing mostly reggae music during my latest visit. The service was fairly friendly, however, on one occasion the bartender was more concerned taking care of things at one end of the bar and rarely came to the other end where I was sitting. This was during a slow period, so she had no excuse to almost ignore me. Their menu is misleading with a couple of items. For example, the chicken wings. They display 4 prices, the top 2 prices for wings alone, and bottom are for wings served with celery, carrots and a dipping sauce, at least so I thought. Turns out I was wrong and the top 2 prices are not prices. It's actually 8 wings for 14 and 12 wings for 20. This is a very strange way and they should fix their menu since the waitress said many people have questioned this when it came time to pay their bill. I wanted to love this bar since Caddyshack is one of my favorite all time movies, but I just haven't had a great cocktails there yet and service has been spotty.

Nice size, generous amount of toppings (eggs, tomatoes, onions) such that I had toppings in every bite with my lettuce. The entire salad, dusted with a cajun seasoning, was a nice touch. Food was served in a metal plate with plasticware & plastic cups. (I'm sure the 'plastic' is helpful for managing the outside dining.) Chef Dee came out to check on us. They were serving happy hour when we got there. I got a $3 Stella Artois and decided on half-off Sticky Wings. They were gluten free, so no breading and honestly, I prefer them that way. The skin was super crispy and the sauce was almost asian flavored with a side of what I assume tasted like an organic ranch. It was really good nonetheless. For our entrees, I decided on the White Chicken Parm which consisted of "pan-seared chicken, lightly crusted with lemon pepper parmesan; served with gluten free spaghetti pasta tossed with olive oil, homemade béchamel & white wine sauce with garlic, shallots, roasted tomatoes & parmesan; garnished with broccolini, parsley & grilled lemon." I used the grilled lemon atop the chicken and pasta for an extra lemony taste. YUM! Robbie chose the Way Bacon Burger which included "Heartbrand Akaushi Wagyu with sweet & spicy candied bacon, caramelized onions & raspberries, house-made pickles, lettuce, tomatoes & roasted garlic aioli on a brioche bun," however, he ordered without the bun, substitute lettuce wrap. There was a mix up and we ended up getting charged for the gluten free bun, but was promptly offered a refund or a dessert. We took the dessert! The dessert we chose was the Candy Cane Cheesecake. The consistency was almost like cookie dough, the crust was like a cookie and it was delicious. The self-service fountain drink area smelled strongly of mildew or old sponges, and the counter was very sticky and wet. I understand a mess during a lunch rush, but the lingering odor was a big turn off. I ordered a White Chicken Parm, and the chicken was unpleasantly rubbery in some areas- I regretfully had to spit out a piece, which I genuinely try not to do out of respect. Pasta was also too salty for my taste. The menu description also lists broccolini, but the reality was more of regular broccoli that was also soft to the point of being slightly mushy. I'm hoping the best for this restaurant, and also hope that this may have been an off day since there are recent good reviews; but in the meantime, I'll be exploring other Vintage Park options for lunch. - Ambiance: 2/5 - Food: 2/5 - Service: 4/5
