The store manager, George, lacks total empathy and is very dismissive. I am not sure if his mannerism is attributed to the fact that I am a woman, but nonetheless he was extremely unprofessional. I wanted to file a customer complaint regarding the unprofessional conduct by one of their security guards towards my minor, female, daughter. My daughter phoned me crying and extremely agitated last night, scared, because she felt she was being followed in the store. She went to checkout and noticed this same man watching her with an unpleasant demeanor. She went to the customer service counter and asked for the manager and this same man followed her and stood a few feet from her with an intimidating disposition which made her uncomfortable. WhenI I arrived, after her phone call, I spoke with the supervisor who told me he was going to look at the video footage with the store manager the next morning. I returned the next morning, 2 hours AFTER his shift started, and the store manager approached me and told me he didn't review the footage and didn't know when he would get around to it. Really!! I reminded him this was regarding his adult security guard whom my female, minor daughter felt threatened and intimated by. He appeared disinterested even after that. Upon gathering my own information, it appears the security guard had a personal issue with my daughter's male friend and not my daughter. This was what the store manager was implying. I told him that the security guard, nontheless, directed his agitation to my daughter who was an innocent bystander. The store manager proceeded to interupt me and ask me what I expected him to do and "what would make me happy". The nerve of him handling me like I'm some "little lady" how he wanted to brush away. I asked him when was he going to review the footage and when should I come back as this is a serious accusation. He then replied he didn't know when I should come back and when he would "get around to reviewing it". We are talking about a grown, adult male (his security guard) and a minor female child whom felt threatened by this grown man! You would think this would be a priority and grave concern to this store manager to rectify. He didn't ask me for my name, no contact information...nothing! He just stood there silent, staring at me as if this matter was over being discussed. That's literally how disinterested he was in what I had to say or the horrific concern I had about his security guard. I walked away pissed and followed up with a detective from the EPD on my options moving forward. It is sad that I have to file a civil, domestic case (regarding threatening conduct/intimidation by store employee) with law enforcement to get involved to press this establishment to view security footage. This speaks volumes about the morales and mindframe of the manager that is entrusted to make customers feel safe and wlecomed in their store. We have faithfully shopped at Vallis, nearly daily. we spend a. p.x 1200$ a month to feed our family ! the prices are outrageous, the manager George price gouges and then puts those items on "sale hires illegale Aliens without papers and nothing but people of color he can push around, not even offering a discount on their own food! the express cashier, Jazmine , often overcharged us, and we once left a bag containing about $30 of food, and she made no attempt to stop us Then next time we shopped there, we asked her "if we'd left a bag of groceries containing soda pop n cookies. ?" Immediately she said "yes you did n I took it to customer service where you can go get it" Sp we did, and the rep replied that there's nothing there for us and rushed over to whisper in Jazmines ear, afterwards My husband and I both asked, "you just said we left groceries n I brought it to custome service, ". she lied and says "I never said that " Then a black woman named Valerie told us that "Jazmine had told her we Did in fact leave groceries, but they were put bk so I denied the whole thing" when we confronted the manager George he denied the incident n said Victoria denied having been told anything at all! The food is way overpriced and the meat often expired We bought smoked ham n that same day when we attempted to make a sandwich, we found the brand new ham slimy and smelling spoiled! When we entered the story today we were verbally assaulted by Victoria strait off, she started yellling "keep my Mother fuckin name out yo mouth. If I didn't need this job I'd beat yo ass" and I said she must desperately need it to stoop to that level of cowardice, to reinig her entire statement . She's always talking about her home life, inappropriate details about how her cousin was just killed in a gang shoot out that made the news, SHE WAS ACTUALLY BRAGGING IT WAS ON THE NEWS all I could say when she said blm is that mainly it's the blacks who are the main ones killing each other in record numbers, but still I'm Sorry but she's totally inappropriately commenting how "she hates George, hates her job, and everyday hates coming to work" So although the store is clean n well organized, the foods often expired and always overpriced, and the last thing u expect ona groceries errand is to be verbally harassed by the bag lady! This place has a terrible management team. I came in to buy a few items for my moms place. Realizing the water was on sale, she bought some. Living alone I got interested in buying some for my place as well. I went back to buy another for myself and I suddenly notice all the cashier employees looking at me as if I'm stealing. I was about to pay and I saw an chubby Hispanic female employee stand right next to me as I'm paying to make sure that I was only going to buy one. I was blown away by how disrespectful the management team was. It's no ones business on why I'm buying another item which was a separate transaction clearly. I do not need to explain myself why a customer came back to buy another items. I was interested in buying two bundles of water but after the disrespect-fullness, I bought one and went to complain. The store manager was arguing with me about buying another item. I clearly stated to the man that I also knew how to read. However, it's another transaction and I owe them no explanation. The store manager did not have the decency to apologize. The lady that rang me up apologize because she knew how disrespectful they were being towards me. I was simply blown away because they made me feel like I was stealing. There was no need for all the employees to gather around me. I'm going complain to the higher levels in this business because it was not just because of the situation but also because of the color of my skin. I've really wanted to like this store, and the people are very pleasant, BUT: Fresh produce is far too often old and starting to go off, or does so only a couple of days after purchase - soft, wrinkled peppers, rotten garlic, sprouting onions, lemons and cucumbers going squishy, and mouldy soft fruit and tomatoes all on sale. Some packaged meat produts are green/grey in the packet, clearly not properly stored. Multiple times I've purchased cream well within its sell-by date that turns out to have gone off when I get it home, so not properly stored either. And finally, they don't have good control of their stock so you never know if they are actually going to have the specific items you went there for. Basic things, like bacon, bread and English muffins, coffee, sugar, butter, etc I'm going to have to go elsewhere. read more

Don't buy from this store, I bought peaches last night and inside of the peaches are black when peeled the skins, black rot around pits the following next morning, all the same. I told the store manager that they should not sell this kind of making people sick fruit, he told me don't buy and go somewhere else, very rude.
