My brother had his white coat ceremony and took me / my dad to this restaurant right after to celebrate. It was a spectacular choice! The bread the came out with at first was probably the best warm, cheesy bread I've ever had in West Texas. The pasta was soft, warm, and flavored correctly. They had nice outdoor patio seating with plenty of TVs to watch sports on. The waitresses had a difficult customer who were ordering them around, but they were both polite and maintained professional boundaries despite this setback. Went tonight. It was not busy we were greeted and sat. We waited 15 minutes. No one came to take our drink order or even acknowledged our presence. We got up to leave and a waitress said has no one helped you. We said no we are going to leave. She then started yelling at some girl named Evelyn that she should have helped us. The crazy chicken Alfredo with mushrooms and broccoli. It's crazy there's barely any chicken and 3 pieces of broccoli for $15. The reviews said this was a 4.5 stars. Maybe so on a different night. I felt a little cheated on this to go order. The Alfredo sauce was creamy but was missing the salt in it, very bland. The portion size of noodles is a lot. The marinara was good. The bread sticks were likely made today but weren't warm or very fresh. The salad was fresh except for a dead cucumber. Food and ambiance were awesome, but... Our party of 4 visited this last Friday (28 Feb). The couple we were going out with got there a little bit before us ordered a bottle of the house wine. When we arrived and got seated the server brought the wine, set it on the table and left - no fan fare. I guess Valore doesn't want to give the impression that their restaurant is high end. We didn't expect a sommelier to come out and serve and pour the wine but I've never ordered a bottle of wine at a restaurant and had a server just bring it out and just leave. Food was delicious but each of the 4 meals were brought out separately. Between the first plate and 4th / last plate there was a good 4 to 5 minutes between. Typically, out of courtesy, no one starts eating until everyone gets served so my food, which was delivered last, was nice and still hot while everyone else's was just warm by the time we all could start eating. Once the last plate was served and before the server left we offered some polite constructive feedback back which was that for future reference it would be better to deliver all plates at the same time. Our server gave us excuses; not receptive...she left and a short time later another lady came and asked us if there was a problem and she gave us the same excuses; not receptive at all. We didn't want to argue so we tried to enjoy our meal. When we were finishing up the server brought us our tickets and left - since we weren't asked if we would like to enjoy a dessert we paid our bill and enjoyed dessert at OHMS. Overall if you are dining by yourself or only have a party of two Valore would be a good place to eat but three or more people would be an issue. read more

OMG this place has it going on. Everything was superb and extremely well done. From the interior, the patio seating and nice clean large dining room. The fresh warm handmade bread sticks that were baked perfectly. The marinara was outstanding and when it was used on the Parmesan dishes it stood out. The portions are large and well worth the price which was reasonable to say the least. The tiramisu was authentic which was a pleasant surprise. The cinnamon twists were freshly made warm and fluffy. My 4th visit, and overall best experience so far at Valore. Went out on a limb and got a non-Italian entree - the large ribeye cooked a perfect medium rare. We are traveling and went out of our way to come here because it said pet friendly and had a patio. when we arrived, there was one other party dining in the restaurant, and the outdoor patio was completely empty. The hosts told us service dogs only. I can't comprehend why their listing would say pet friendly, they are almost completely empty at prime dinner time, and they would turn away a party of six, who just wanted to sit outside and enjoy a meal. Oh what a delicious dinner. The portions are huge! My dish was loaded with clams and the lemon in the sauce was not overwhelming. The spicy spaghetti dish was loaded with meat and jalapenos. I've been hearing such wonderful things about this restaurant on Facebook restaurant review pages that I've been wanting to come here since they opened. When I saw the ad for the Sunday special of broccoli cheese soup with salad for $7, I decided to go for it. I got there fairly early for dinner time so I was seated right away. Everyone I encountered was lovely. They had happy hour drinks all day so I ordered a pineapple Mimosa for $4. Then I got the soup and salad for $7. They brought me what I assume are homemade breadsticks with delicious marinara while I waited for my food. The salad came out almost right away. The lettuce was crisp and cold just like it should be. You had a choice between Caesar salad or regular salad so I got Caesar. It was perfect. Just the right amount of dressing and every single piece of lettuce had some on it, nothing skipped. Delicious fresh cheese on top, and a generous portion. Before I was finished with my salad they brought the soup which was not just some little dinky cup but a huge bowl. I finished my salad before I started the soup so it did have time to cool off some. The outer edges were warm but not hot, the middle was still plenty warm. Every bite was wonderful. It was obviously not some prepackaged glop in a plastic bag that they just stuck in the microwave like most local chain delis carry. This was the real deal. By the time I finished it I was too full to even finish the garlic bread that came on the side and my breadsticks so I got a small to go box to bring it home and nibbled on it for lunch today. Still delicious. The Mimosa was very refreshing. It was about 5:45 when I finished and by that time people were starting to come in fairly frequently. I sat in my car for a few minutes before I left and the people were just pouring in the front door. Looks like the word has gotten out how good this place is. I hope to get back soon! I was especially happy that the daily special was good all day and not just at lunch time since I'm a late starter often. Highly recommended! read more

The live music was so loud it was just unpleasant. But, even if the evening didn't have the live music it still would of been a 3 star experience. We ordered a bottle of wine and the server just placed the bottle on the table....did not open it, did not pour it. Then the food was delivered 1 by 1 between the 4 of us. The 1st dish sat at the table for 20 minutes before the rest of the dishes were brought to the table SEPARATELY and the dish was cold. When telling the server the issue, she continued to argue and give excuses. Then another server came over to ask if there was any issues, and when explained, she began to argue and give excuses as well. We were handed our bill without offering dessert ( which we wanted). We tried this little gem because we were exhausted from travel and it was close to our hotel. One of the reviews said it may have been the best garlic bread ever. So we went. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and inside is simple yet inviting. But the food...the food is WONDERFUL! We had the garlic bread and ordered some Alfredo sauce to dip in (although my husband was in love with the marinara, it's just not my thing). We also had the fried beef ravioli appetizer. All delicious! For mains, I had chicken piccata (that almost looked like I hadn't touched it when I was stuffed full). SO GOOD! Lemony, and salty from the capers, the chicken was tender and juicy. Just what you want from your piccata! One kid ordered a small pizza (which was like a medium anywhere we live), and he was only able to eat one bite because he was already stuffed. Another - the teenager - ordered ziti and ate it all. It looked delicious and was covered in cheese! My husband had stuffed shells that he was able to finish happily. It also had plenty of cheese. There was no skimping in this kitchen, and you could taste the love in the food. The service was great and we left stuffed and happy. The only complaint I could possibly have is that my hotel mini fridge (and I mean mini) didn't even fit our leftover containers properly and the leftovers were wasted.
