Been a customer with four cars being serviced at this location . Took my daughter 's car in yesterday for an oil change . $91 for an oil change . Went to counter to pay .... Extra charge for filter , which I was never told . $15. They said it was a special filter for her car . Ok - they didn't order it or anything . Charged extra for them using 6 quarts instead of 5 quarts . I was told nothing about these extra charges when I brought the car in only at payment . Disappointing as I felt like the two people working were very anxious talking about the price at check out . I asked why I wasn't told about all the up charges . No response but both workers shrugging their shoulders . Called the Hyundai dealer when I got home and I could have gotten an oil change for a total of $69.99 So much for me trying to use services locally . Won't return to service our 4 cars . I will not go anywhere else, the ladies and gentlemen that work there are Awesome!!! I brought my car in because something was wrong with it thinking it needed a fuel injection cleaning. They did a diagnostic check and told me exactly what I needed to do and did not need the fuel injection cleaning because that would not solve the problem. I went that day to replace the part they told me and my car is running like a charm. They saved me about $800 Thanks Mike, Frank and Judy!! You guys rock!! That's the customer service people need!! Great place! I've been going here for years and keep going back. They are always very courteous and so helpful. When getting oil changed they do full check of everything, but aren't pushy about selling you things you don't need or are going to do yourself. I was going to get tires rotated and balanced, but they don't do a balance. However, they were very informative about if I wanted them balance where to take my car. If getting something else done, they answer all questions up front and give it to you straight - I love that! While you wait (not long at all), they have a nice clean space, snack and drink options, and free WiFi. read more

Avoid this place like the plague. They rip female customers off. They gave my girlfriend a price and afterwards charged her an extra $20 for an oil filter. They then tried to claim to me it was because they needed a special filter (which they had in stock) and then tried to tell me it was because it of labor. read more

They had good service and took care of not only my oil change but the air filter, and I had a head light out (which I had gotten a ticket for the day before) and the changed that as well. I was in and out in under 30 minutes... I highly recommend. read more

They are very nice while they overcharge you to screw up your vehicle and then refuse to take responsibility. Four different people I know, as well as myself, have had issues with wrong oil, broken parts, bad transmission flush, failure to put things back on properly, etc. I went here for years, because I'm loyal, but have dealt with the final straw when the repairs to our vehicles after their service have totaled over $3000. I will never go again and feel a duty to share the experience so others don't deal with the same costly mistakes. read more

RUN AWAY!!! I came into Valvoline Antioch, IL and requested an oil change and tire rotation. They advised me that I did not need a tire rotation because my tires look evenly worn, this is because I rotate them. They would not rotate the tires, but said they would check my air pressure. My vehicle is rated to have 35 PSI, my tires are rated at 44 PSI. I always keep them at 40. They lowered my pressure to 30 PSI, needless to say I had to put air in all four tires. Because of this I decided to check my oil, to find that my oil did not reach the fill marker on the dip stick. I had to put in a quart of oil for it to register to the center of the fill marker. My oil plug and area around it was full of oil and leaked enough to stain my garage floor. I also was talked into having my transfer case oil changed. This was my error as I knew I had just done this, but they were very pushy about how I needed it done. My mechanic was very mad and stated I did not need to do that, even when I was being checked out the guy at the register said I did not need it either. My work was all done late on a Friday, when I noticed my low tires it was Sunday and too late to take back in. I called the manager Gary on Monday morning and took my vehicle in on Monday after work to talk with Judy. They claimed that: The tire pressure was just an error. My oil was over full. This is BS, I know how to check oil and did not appreciate the insult. They cleaned around the oil pug but would say nothing, my guess was it was loose. And they claimed my transfer case oil was fine. I spent $120 at this place to have to fix my own tire pressure, add my own oil to the proper quantity and now must worry how much they screwed up my transfer case. And if that oil plug was loose and fell off I would have had big problems as I am heading out on a road trip this week. I was offered a $20 gift card for a future visit. I told them I will never be back and asked for a refund on part of the $120 I paid them, they refused. Save your money, this place sucks. They will push and push and push you into stuff you don't need. They will short your oil. They will mess up everything they touch!! Your vehicle costs too much and is too important to let these idiots screw it up for you!!!! read more

I am new to the area and I decided to bring my car here. My husband tried it and really liked it so I thought I should and I'm so glad I did. Everyone was so nice and professional. Didn't push me but were helpful enough to educate me on what my car can use possibly the next visit or at a certain amount of miles. If you are in dire need of an oil change and have nowhere else to go, this Express Care is OK. The service and friendliness of the staff is good but I will not be back due to the fact that they told us our transmission fluid needed to be replaced. We got a second opinion elsewhere and found it did not need to be done at all. I've been told the same about the air filter and other issues that they would be able to fix if I opted to do so. It makes me wonder how many times this happens to others. I want to be able to trust the people working on my car. Repairs add up so if you want to run a reputable business, just be honest and people will want to come to you. read more
