Instant oil change places aren't known to be the best places to get your oil changed so my review is based with that in mind. The staff was friendly and they performed the oil change. They tried to upsell me on a bunch of stuff, which is to be expected in these places. I knocked them off a star because I had a warning light when I went in that one tire was low on pressure. They never checked the tire pressure, so the light was still on when I left. However, the receipt said they checked my tire pressure and that it was good. You don't really save money here. They charged the same as the dealership and give less service for it. But, no appointment is needed and you get to sit in your car while they do the work. I don't think I will use this place regularly, but I might come back in a pinch if I need a quick oil change and do t have time to go elsewhere. read more

Camarillo Valvoline: Service you can't see. Experts you should NEVER trust. I have add two separate incidents at this Valvoline that will ensure I will never come back. The first occurred in January of this year when I went in for service and (against my better judgment) opted for a tire rotation. We left the shop thinking everything was fine and got a call from the tech saying that the tires have not been fully torqued and they could potentially fall off. They said they would come and find us, so they proceeded to drive to our location. Luckily we hadn't driven far and we were attending a wedding reception nearby but we had to deal with this in the midst of that. This is a egregious safety violation and could have resulted in our harm. The service technicians were very apologetic and nice however it is still highly unacceptable and dangerous. Valvoline gave us a free oil change, in exchange for our near-death experience. The second occurred today when having gone into this Camarillo location. Several things: -They didn't check my lights yet I saw on their checklist that they marked they were good . -They didn't check my tire pressure at the beginning of the service so I had to ask. -I wasn't shown my air filter. I had to ask them about it at which they said my air filter was "underneath my vehicle". This is blatantly false, and a straight up LIE. I removed the air filter myself after the service and this is the result. -I asked for a printed receipt, they never provided. THIS WILL BE THE VERY LAST TIME I EVER TAKE MY VEHICLE HERE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. HORRIBLE. They couldn't care less and just want to get you out as quickly as possible. read more

DO NOT COME HERE I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at this Valvoline location. After a service visit, my skid plate ended up falling off because it wasn't attached correctly. While they initially said they would replace it, the process took nearly two months and required constant follow-up on my end. Communication was extremely poor. I had to call repeatedly just to get updates, and each time I was given different information. At one point, I was told I would receive a call about a delay, but no one followed up. When I called weeks later, I was told the part had been delivered to the wrong location. Even when the skid plate finally arrived, the situation didn't improve. I was told I could come in early, but when I got there, they didn't have the necessary screws. The manager said he would get them by 1 PM, but that didn't happen. I called again later that day and was told it would be handled by the end of the day--again, it wasn't. The next day, I was told they were getting them, but by that point, I had completely lost confidence. The manager was unprofessional, seemed like he didn't care, and did not take ownership of the situation or make any real effort to resolve it efficiently. I also felt uncomfortable with how I was treated. As a woman, it seemed like my concerns were not taken as seriously. When my boyfriend called on my behalf, there suddenly seemed to be more urgency and responsiveness, which was frustrating and disappointing. I been going to Valvoline in Camarillo to service one of my vehicles, on the last visit they never informed me they lost my seal. When I left, my car was leaking oil, eventually causing a big street leakage. Thankfully no one was hurt, because immediately my car was completely unable to drive, so I parked it on neutral. Finally, had my mechanic come inspect the car and the seal is missing there's a replacement with some type of sealant, the manager Ruben instead of resolving the problem, became upset and was yelling at me for making a claim. Don't trust them with your nice cars! They don't have the loyalty as we do as customers! Now my transmission needs an inspection because the gears are messed up! If it wasn't for Groupon, I would've never traveled to Camarillo to get an oil change. The Ventura location is missing out because they never do this. However, I will say that you know one of the things that I don't like about the Camarillo location and I understand it's their job is the attempt to upsell on every single screen. It's very annoying but no fault of the employee that's doing their job. They want to check your cabin filter your pressure of your tires your radiator your air-conditioning you name it and they're all trying to upsell. I just want an oil change right now. Even when you tell him that it seems like they have to still go through it all. Fantastic it was pretty easy to get done. Besides the fact that you know like I said, they have a 1 million questions to try to Upsell. Management call to have their employees try to upsell on every single screen. I've been here a few times for routine oil changes and from my 3 spearate vehicle experiences, they have always performed well and completed the service in a reasonable time. They have two service bays but they don't always have both running, I think this has to do with how many people they have staffed that day but regardless, it does not seem to affect the speed and accuracy of the services I received. All of the times I have come here, it has been with Groupons but, I leanred that they always have coupons on their website that you can use. I've read some of the negative reviews and I can't see why some of they people have had bad expereinces. I think my only gripe is that sometimes the technicians talk too fast and expect the customer to know everything they are asking right off the bat. This is especially true when they are asking you to turn on your lights to check for bad bulbs. I think they forget that we can hardly hear them while inside the car. I took my wife's Civic there for an oil change. Discovered three days later, after taking it to Honda because of a loud sound from under the engine, that the Splash Guard was missing two screws and the engine block was covered in oil because clips were missing. After contacting them they refunded the initial oil change and subsequent repair to the Splash Guard but refused to pay for the oil change that was had to be done at Honda. Subsequent phone calls to Head Office were not returned and my emails were ignored too. Absolutely horrible customer service ! read more

I had a horrible experience here. Do not get your car serviced here at this location. At my visit I came for an oil change, they were training a new employee, he was putting air in my tires and let go of the air gauge and hit my vehicle. The employee and manager looked at each other in shock, and proceeded to lie to my face saying there was no damage. I went home and seen a dent and scratch. I filed a claim, they came took photos and told me they would schedule a third party to fix my car. After they got the quote they denied my claim and said they didn't do the damage. After my most recent visit, I noticed later that the oil filter hadn't been tightened all the way and it was leaking oil. Thankfully I caught it before it caused any major damage. I contacted customer care and they handled it professionally by giving me a refund and a free oil change, which I appreciated. Mistakes happen, and while this definitely shouldn't have occurred, I do respect that they made an effort to fix the situation. Pretty disappointed. I thought Valvoline was a trustworthy company. They charged me for an oil change even though I came in with a Groupon. And they upsold me on the automatic transmission. After persuading me to pay one of the workers starting laughing about how the salesman was going to buy everyone chicken wings because he was able to upsell the customers. Every single time someone drove through agreeing to the automatic transmission the joke started again. If you're going to rip people off at least keep your mouth shut. Since I mainly use electric on this car the oil changes are typically once a year. I arrived at 529pm (they close at 6pm) with 3 cars in the bay..a quick routine check on my lights, offering 2 types of full synthetic..advising me on the process and 4.2 quarts later I was being shown the measurements and was guided out around 555pm. They gave me confidence and I took my car to them about 15 minutes before closing and they were great they got my car in right away. They installed an oil filter that was known to have problems. I drove away and got a check engine light 1/4 mile away and returned. The manager knew what to look for and said they've been having problems with that filter. It has a defect that can't generate sufficient oil pressure. At idle pressure was 8-10PSI. I could've seized the engine had I driven farther. They didn't have a replacement in stock. He drove to an auto parts store and returned with a better WIX filter. He offered a 50% off coupon for my next visit but it didn't show up until I returned later and inquired. 3 days after the service I drove the freeway next to the shop and my air dam/panel under the engine broke free and started bouncing on the ground. I drove to the shop. A screw was missing from the service panel under the drain area & was either not reinstalled or not screwed together properly. They put in another and I went on my way. 7 days later I returned to ask the same manager about the unreceived coupon and discuss the other problems. He accepted no responsibility & was borderline rude. I've been a customer since they opened. They're obviously lacking now in critical areas like installing known defective parts etc. read more

A few months ago I went for a routine oil change, 2.5 hours later...a busted hose surfaced into a conversation, one of the associates cut and "Mickey moused it back to work" only to have multiple service warnings pop up. Payed 250$ (with some of the add ons), completely ruined my afternoon missed my appointments. Had to rent a car for two days in order to get my self to work in Los Angeles. The silver lining to this was when I went back on my next day off, They replaced the hose and I was on my way. But in all it was an absolute waste of time.
