I will never ever go back to this place. Incredibly expensive and it took OVER one hour. I was sitting in my car from 8:15 until 9:30am. They tried to upsell me on a bunch of stuff, which is to be expected in these places. I knocked them off a star because I had a warning light when I went in that one tire was low on pressure. They never checked the tire pressure, so the light was still on when I left. However, the receipt said they checked my tire pressure and that it was good. You don't really save money here. They charged the same as the dealership and give less service for it. But, no appointment is needed and you get to sit in your car while they do the work. I don't think I will use this place regularly, but I might come back in a pinch if I need a quick oil change and do t have time to go elsewhere.

Camarillo Valvoline: Service you can't see…read more Experts you should NEVER trust. I have add two separate incidents at this Valvoline that will ensure I will never come back. The first occurred in January of this year when I went in for service and (against my better judgment) opted for a tire rotation. We left the shop thinking everything was fine and got a call from the tech saying that the tires have not been fully torqued and they could potentially fall off. They said they would come and find us, so they proceeded to drive to our location. Luckily we hadn't driven far and we were attending a wedding reception nearby but we had to deal with this in the midst of that. This is a egregious safety violation and could have resulted in our harm. The service technicians were very apologetic and nice however it is still highly unacceptable and dangerous. Valvoline gave us a free oil change, in exchange for our near-death experience. The second occurred today when having gone into this Camarillo location. Several things: -They didn't check my lights yet I saw on their checklist that they marked they were good . -They didn't check my tire pressure at the beginning of the service so I had to ask. -I wasn't shown my air filter. I had to ask them about it at which they said my air filter was "underneath my vehicle". This is blatantly false, and a straight up LIE. I removed the air filter myself after the service and this is the result. -I asked for a printed receipt, they never provided. THIS WILL BE THE VERY LAST TIME I EVER TAKE MY VEHICLE HERE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. HORRIBLE. They couldn't care less and just want to get you out as quickly as possible.

I'd drop off my car and grab lunch and the car would be done. Went in today and the place has turned into a joke. I park and enter the office and wait at the counter. An employee noticed me waiting and comes in and places a business card down and tells me to check myself in. I scan the QR code and start to check myself in. As I am I notice the employees are not busy and just standing around, presumably trying to figure out the system and what to do now that customers need to do the check in job. When I get to the part where I select what service I want I notice the prices are a lot higher than about 7 months ago (see picture). I inquire about the prices and asked if I missed something. They said no and that this is the new system and those are the prices.

I come down from Ventura to see "Shady", and his name couldn't be more ironic, because there's nothing shady about him or his work. My most recent service made the car run like it did when it was new. Shady was very professional and straight forward with me about what was absolutely necessary to fix and what could wait. Just this week I took my car to Firestone to get the tires rotated. I was told by Firestone my rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced at the tune of $700. I was skeptical and called S&M for a quote. They gave me a rough estimate of $450 and told me to bring in the car the next day, because it was likely I didn't need the repair. Sure enough, when I took it to S&M, they said I could wait to replace the rear brakes. I trust S&M and Shady. I will definitely continue to take my car to them.
