I've been hitting Valvoline oil spots since we bought the new SUV that "requires" synthetic oil. I'm usually a guy that changes my own, but doing the math it's not really much cheaper to do it myself and deal with finding a place to take the old oil. Oil has gotten so expensive, even with falling oil prices, the bottles oil sadly doesn't change like fuel prices. Be nice if it did, because then it wouldn't cost me $80+ to change the oil in my SUV. That being said, the folks at Valvoline are almost always nice and helpful. My previous location gave me a fairly good deal being military and frequent customer with them. I drive a lot. Moving here however, they don't know me, so full price it is. I saw this location had some low reviews. Not sure why. The staff when I went was fine. They had everything I needed, I was in and out pretty quick. Only source of complaint, when they opened the door to scan the bar code for the VIN number, they did it with oily hands. Oil on my chrome door handles and all over my pearl white paint. I was quick to get it washed off, I'm a bit weird maybe about thinking that will eventually stain or cause ashes with my paint later. read more

I've been a client of Valvoline for the entire life of my last f150 7+yr. Primarily using Valvoline for oil change services in the Euless Area. I've been coming to the Cleburne location for the last 2 yr and never had an issue. Management undoubtedly has changed. Recently I dropped by to have my existing and new truck serviced for oil changes. Had an issue when bringing the new truck in for its first oil change. They hadn't had my truck pulled in for 5 min or the hood open before trying to upsell a filter and new wiper blades. I mentioned it was a brand new truck with 4k miles and then the attitude changed. Shortly after I could feel severe jerking from underneath like someone was yanking the oil filter. Guess who had oil leaks in their driveway?Then shortly after a very large gentleman 300+ lbs with his belly hanging out, shirt untucked and oil stained shirt climbed* on the front of my brand new ceramic coated truck for no reason dropping the front almost 2+ feet and sending my truck bouncing like a basketball. Then they proceeded to tell me their oil dispenser was broken and they needed to manually fill and measure oil in dirty spiderweb covered gas can off to the side. UNPROFESSIONAL location overall. They disrespected my new truck and I will never visit this location again. read more

They filled my car with oil not once but twice! So my car was over filled 4-5 quarts of oil and was running very rough. Thankfully it did not damage my car as I took it a Toyota dealership that discovered the problem. I won't be coming back. This was totally irresponsible. read more

We are from Alabama and our trip was disrupted while hauling a trailer through Texas when we discovered a mysterious oil leak. We ended up at the closest oil change place with no oil left in the truck!! The manager went above and beyond to not only discover the problem, find us the part, pick up the part and install it to get us safely back on the road for our 13 hour ride home, but did so with a smile and a handshake. So there is nothing more annoying when you drive up to a business that offers inspections and they tell you a device they need to perform the inspections is not working properly. Don't they have to have these things inspected themselves? Not happy at all. I usually get my oil changes here. I will be going elsewhere from now on. I drove in there lot on 12/18 at 5:24pm. Tall skinny guy informed me of all this. Didn't really make eye contact when he was telling me this but it seems every time I go there they are having an issue with something not working. Took our truck in to get our oil service done on an early Saturday morning. The woman doing our service did an excellent job. She explained everything thoroughly and even showed us our black cabin air filter before recommending we change it. We definitely didn't feel like we were pressured into extra services like some quick services places like to do. She quickly did our oil change and we were on our way. 5/5 for a great, quick service! read more

They did not screw my oil plug back tight and my care ran out of oil right after I left the Cleburne location. I complained to them. They insinuated I lied and just parked on top of another oil puddle. They are no reliable and do not care to make things right. read more

I went there to get my oil changed and left 2 quarts short. I thought It was strange the attendant asked if my oil light was on before I left. Personnel was friendly but waited 30 mins or more before anyone had an opportunity to get to me and then they didn't have the filter for my car. Said it should be on the truck that afternoon. Came back another long wait before being helped was told it would be at least 30 min before they could get to me. This time I ask them to see if they got the filter for me car in on the truck and they did not. Don't know if I'll go back. read more

I have been getting my oil changed here since I moved to Cleburne 2 years ago. Unfortunately my last 2 trips have not had good results. They suggested I have my air filter changed, which I declined and decided to change myself. When I went to change my air filter a week later, there was no air filter. They never put the old one back in the car. The last trip I was just getting my wife's car inspected. For whatever reason they had popped the hood, after I was on the freeway for about 25 miles I noticed the hood shaking. They never closed the hood. I would like to keep using them because I am a creature of habit, but I don't want them to make a more costly mistake. read more

Took my truck up there this morning for a synthetic oil change on my F150 Ecoboost. My truck uses 6 qts of oil. $101 for just for the oil change. We did not let them do it and will never go back. Spent $41.19 for Mobile One and a new filter, and I will change it this weekend. Crazy. read more

I have always used this place, I loved the customer service and they were always super nice! The past few times haven't been the same. The first time I left, they didn't fill my windshield wiper fluid and I specifically asked for them too because I had been out. They re assured me they did and I pulled out of the parking lot and realized they hadn't. This past time I went, they informed me that I needed a new battery for my car and he tried to convince me for like 5 minutes to purchase it. Due to the virus i am out of a job and didn't have the extra money right then to purchase it. After I said no he gave me the slip showing my battery was almost out, I search at several different stores to find this specific battery I need, I end up at a Auto Zone in Haltom City the man asked if I wanted to double check the battery and I said sure and come to find out my battery was at 96% percent and perfectly good. I feel like they try to over sell items to every customer. I really enjoyed the friendliness of the employees but The last few times have really changed my mind on this establishment. read more

This oil change place is, by far, the WORST bunch of crooks you'll encounter. I know that may be hard to believe, but these crooks get the Gold Standard award for setting the standard in slime. This place was recently sold to new owners and I was a regular customer. Under the former owners, my average oil change bill was around $35 for an oil change and filter and they would clean the windows and vacuum and check all the fluids to go with it. I went into this place yesterday for the same services that I always get and by the time they were done, I was horrified. The bill was $165! They knowing LIED to me about numerous things they insisted needed replacement, such as a air filter, etc. Not knowing the slimy business techniques of the new owners, I trusted them. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. They knowing lied simply for thier own gain. And not only did they lie about what needs to be replaced, but they grossly overcharged for the things that didn't need to be replaced in the first place. Let me give you an example. They replaced an air filter. This is a filter I have replaced numerous times and the retail price at Auto Zone, or others, is around $12. (This is how I know it didn't need to be replaced, I just replaced it not long ago) Keep in mind, as service facility they aren't going to be paying retail price. They get deep discounts. I bet they paid less than $5. I went online and looked at every place and different brands and prices Google could come up with and the filter was consistently in the range of $7-18. Again, those are retail prices. So are you sitting down, because you need to be for this one. THEY CHARGED ME $40 FOR THIS FILTER THEY PAID $5 FOR AFTER LYING TO ME ABOUT NEEDING IT. And this wasn't the only item they did this on. THE CHEATED ME IN EVERY AREA THEY COULD COME UP WITH. DO NOT GO HERE! YOU WILL GET SCREWED! read more
