I had the ac charged and after 5 hours (ish) of usage it gave out and the check engine came on. I brought the car back and they ran some tests, said nothing is wrong but quickly gave me money back. I had to bring it to the dealer to get repeated. $1400 for a new compressor. The green dye in the part indicated Valvoline looked for a leak and knew there was one, that was why they were quick to give a refund. Manager Mike is awesome. Brought my wife's 2020 Cadillac XT4 there for an full synthetic oil change, was a normal change until we went to start up the car and it was sputtering on start up. It was a highly coincidental incident, I genuinely felt that Mike went way out of the normal routine checks as well as looking at security cameras to audit technicians work and completeness. We had an abnormal issue that I felt that Mike went well above bar to over-communicate and diagnose an issue. We will be back for service, only one missed point as we had a new technician that could of done a better job at having on clean gloves to reset our car timers, it left oil residue all over our steering wheel and buttons. read more

Good help is hard to fine. But evidently competent help is even tougher. Female friend stopped by for an oil change and 3 employees were stumped on how to open the oil drain valve (Futomo). She called me and explained their dilemma. I spoke with one of their Techs and despite me explaining the spring lever and pointing out the obvious, " push the lever and rotate it", they still couldn't figure it out. To make matters worse, she gave them the original drain bolt and they surmised the bolt wasn't the original based on the body size of the Futomo valve. What...???? Yes, I changed her oil and was surprised to notice they only installed 3 of the 4 bolts for the oil drain access panel but also didn't install the panel correctly. My advice... Went in for an oil change about 9:40 this morning. When I got there, there was no one to direct me to what bay to line up on. Every other time I have been to the Derry, NH Valvoline, I have been asked to line up on a bay (either bay 1 or bay 2) and then guided in. Today, i should have know there was going to be unprofessional service because it just didn't even start right. I was right. I was finally asked by Steve, the manager on duty, to drive in on bay 2. After I was stopped, he asked for the mileage I gave it to him and then opened my door. They always notify you before they open the door. I had my seatbelt off and was looking for my wallet when he opened the door. This sudden move startled me and I could have fall out of the vehicle. Then he went to scan my VIN. I asked him if that was necessay and he looks at me "like im an idiot" and says in a nasty tone "yes". I told him to close my door and he said "see ya" so I left. I have been coming to this Valvoline for 12 years with 2 vehicles and always take all the additional services they offer except tire rotation even though im not sure if the price for those services is fair or not. I Will not be coming back. What Steve didn't realize was that I have always been curious if the whole VIN scanning was necessary. That was all I was trying to get an answer for. He did make sure when I asked him for his name to make sure he stated "Steve, the manager". Its interesting that this is my first time seeing and interacting with Steve, the manager in all these years. As I was leaving Bay2, Steve the manager did not guide me out of the bay either. This was surely a safety violation. Who knows maybe Steve and I didn't sync well this early in the morning in the business/customer relationship. But the tone has to change. Ill just bring my vehicles to my mechanic from now on for all maintenance work. I give a zero for customer experience at this location for me. It's interesting that my vehicle's dash cam recorded the whole interaction. Lol read more

Would like to rave about the level of service me and my wife received this evening when we took our truck into get the oil changed along with the rear differential fluid. Devon and the guys will take care of you and they're honest. They told us our license plate light bulbs were out so they swapped them out at $11 each. When they went to test the lights again - the new ones didn't work either. We knew we might have trailer harness wiring issues that possibly affected those license plate lights, so we made the call and asked to have the old ones put back in, all things being considered. Fantastic Service! Got an oil change and needed 3 lights replaced (crazy, but true). From the moment someone comes out to assist you, they make you feel welcome. We had Scott, Devin, Adam, and Jeremy and they were great! They seem to work really well together. Adam was great at explaining the lights process and how I needed them replaced. I paid for 2 services, 1 being a radiator flush, Ford uses a bright orange antifreeze, Valvoline Uses a bright green antifreeze, A month later I noticed my ford still has bright orange antifreeze!!!! Valvoline tells me the ford orange dye turned there antifreeze orange, and a second contact they tell me Valvoline antifreeze is chameleon antifreeze and changes color to match the old antifreeze, well the ideal of a flush is to remove the old and replace it with new so why would we need a chameleon color changing antifreeze??? Generally, I despise dealing with my car and its many issues, however, I had the BEST experience here at Valvoline. I needed an oil change while I was driving from Manchester to Boston and pulled over to get it taken care of, very unplanned which I normally don't do. It was around 4:30pm and no waiting time! I was instructed to drive into the garage and stayed sitting in my car throughout the duration of the service. The handful of guys working were a well oiled machine (ha so punny) working together and so in sync making my oil change SO fast and efficient, I was in and out in under 15 minutes. The customer service was so above and beyond anything I ever expected. The gentleman who was assisting me communicated clearly and in terms a car novice would understand without being pompous or impatient. I needed a state inspection done. Waited for 30 minutes before anyone came out to help me. When they did come out they informed me they didn't do inspections at this location. I've been to other Valvolines and someone has always come up to me immediately and asked what I needed and let me know how long the wait would be. I have 3 vehicles - one is a work truck that averages 40k per year so oil changes are a necessary process. I've been here sporadically several times over the last 2 years. It was my preferred spot for awhile but they seem to have high turnover and their process isn't consistent. Prices aren't the best and it's rarely ever 15 mins like the sign out front says. On my most recent change (last week) - it was less than stellar and I'm not sure I'll be back. Brought in my wifes car (14 Murano with 20kmi) - they were a little busy and basically skipped several items on their "checklist". I watched the guy just check every box in the computer. They never tested the battery, checked the air filter or even looked at the wipers - one was torn. Autozone got my money for an air filter and wiper. As I watched the guy check all the boxes I asked about when they recommend rotating the tires - he told me "every 6k so you aren't due this time". I then requested the $26 rotation and he told me it would be "at least a 30 min wait". I sensed he didn't really want to do it so I said never mind. They have never rotated my work truck (Dodge 1500) because its "to heavy for our lift". Again - they do change the oil but I think there are better options in town. I'd go back in a pinch - otherwise I'll go elsewhere. read more

Overall a friendly staff. My only issue is that they over tightened my filter making it impossible for me to remove on my next oil change. After popping a screwdriver through it as a last resort I was forced to have it towed because they use such cheap ass filters and it just tore apart when trying to loosen. I have never gone anywhere but the dealership to get services done on my car but thought I'd try somewhere local to me instead, that was open on weekends. I was very pleasantly surprised by the prompt professional service I got at Valvoline. They explained everything to me in detail, checked everything on the car and did an oil change. My family has been a customer with vavoline for years. The fast service and convenience of it was great. Unfortunately, at my last visit, oil was spilled on the altinator. They did not tell me. A few weeks after the change, my altinator died. I bought this car less than a year ago (January 2019) and my car was completely fine up until this point. The regional manager "Nick" went as far as to go to my mechanic to try and prove it was not them. Even showing a grainy servalance video that proved nothing. So my mechanic showed him the altinator and proved there was no leak in the car. The manager then proceeded to tell my mechanic someone else must have spilled it. No one touched my car/ lifted my hood since vavoline. After speaking to my mechanic I tried calling back and even left messages and they are completely ignoring it now. My mechanic doesn't care who pays the bill for the altinator, so the fact that he even went there and gave attitude to someone who was just fixing my car says a lot. My advice to you is to not take the risk. Fast service does not mean quality service. I am out 550 dollars now on a simple oil change. Take a bit of extra time for your oil change at a place where real professionals work and save yourself the headache. read more

I always go here to get my oil changed. I get synthetic oil and it is expensive - but I think they are in the same price ball park as every where else. I did redeem a Yelp coupon worth $10.00 off my oil change - that was great. They do try to sell you other maintenance because that's their job. I have never had them do much mite on my car so I comment further on that issue. The place seems consistent, well run, and the employees are friendly. I would recommend their service. read more

I am beyond disappointed. I pulled in yesterday to get my cars oil changed. I have been their before without any problems. I was told it was going to be 99.00 for my oil change. I balked at the price so they lowered to 85.00 which is still way too much. But anyways, I am there and just want it done. When I left, I could not get a read on how much oil was in my tank. The sensor on the car indicates how much oil is in the car. I drove around hoping the sensor would read the amount of oil. It had before I went in there. I was starting to get an uncomfortable feeling that maybe they did not put oil in my car. I proceeded to take it over to my regular service station. They drained my oil to see. It was dirty oil put back into the car. I am not sure if they half emptied my oil and added more or didn't change it all. I took pictures of the oil and got documentation from my service station that it was not clean oil. What a waste time. Buyer Beware!!! My car is running fine now and the sensor shows I have a full tank of oil!!! read more

Went in here from driving by, I was way over due for an oil change and didn't want to wait. They have you drive in and guide you. The computer is in your view and you sit in your car while they top off all your fluids and change your oil, check tire pressure etc.. The store manager was under my hood, gave me a break on pricing to get me as a new customer. They communicate very effectively informing each other whats going on with each car, similar but more in depth to the five guys concept of saying two in the door etc.. Extremely convenient and no pressure. I was in and out in 10 minutes, meanwhile their were three other cars that arrived after me and were in separate bays getting service. The technician who was doing the computer work in front of my car even told me his name and the name of the people who were working on my car, and in this case changing my oil. Absolutely terrific and makes Jiffy Lube look behind the times. Will be back. Thanks for such a great experience. read more

Amazing! They are fast and efficient. Everything gets explained to you and do a little extra then getting your oil changed like checking to see if your break lights are working.
