My wife went to get her oil changed here while I was at work. I usually change her oil myself, but the price to go here came out the same. So why not have valvoline do it. I also found a coupon online for her to use. Afterwards, my wife called me and said that she had trouble using the coupon when she tried to pay. But the manager there Trey helped her and gave her a coupon that was better than the one we had. I really appreciate him helping us out and I'm very pleased with the service. read more

As fast and efficient as this place is, they treat their workers awfully. I've heard stories of people being forced to work more hours than their own parents here. This place is anything but flexible and have screwed many employees out of days off, I've heard most get about 1-2 days off a week and work open to close most day. All the while their manager has no issues with getting the days off he wants as well as leaving early even when short handed. Most days, this place manages to be short handed yet management refuses to hire more people to combat this issue. So as much as I love the work of the employees and how hard they work, I cannot and will never be able to stand behind the treatment and will never be giving this company anymore of my money. read more

Valvoline in Eureka is my go-to oil change place. (Occasionally I'll stop in at another location, too.) Everyone has always been efficient and helpful. Occasionally you get the person that is a little too gung-ho to sell other services. (I get that's part of the job, but it can be over the top at times.) USUALLY I don't run into that problem. Compared to some places, the prices may be a little higher, but find a coupon. I like that I don't have to get out of the car while they are changing the oil. I admit -- that's a perk when I'm on my way home from work. read more

Here I am giving this place another try. I guess it's my fault for the repeated torture. I've been the second car for an inspection Defoe going on 75 minutes and I'm not even in the bay. The gentlemen doing the inspections (assistant manager) is insanely lazy. He walks off constantly just chatting with other workers. I get that good help is hard to find but this place just doesn't care about service at all. What a shit show. Go ahead Valvoline tell me how it's not the truth but before you do, go ahead and give the store a try. There is no other way to say it other than you all just suck. My recommendation is to build it all from scratch. read more

Came to get my oil changed, left feeling embarrassed and like I'd been a burden... I own a relatively new car with a bit of a cumbersome digital interface. A technician asked me for my miles, and we ((both)) struggled to find the correct information page. He got so frustrated that he had to go "take a breather", despite the ordeal taking only a few minutes with no other cars in line for service. Also overheard the crew talking about a loose cord hanging from my car's undercarriage, yet this wasn't brought to my attention after inspection. Thankful for the one crew member who tried to lighten the mood and maintained his professionalism, but otherwise this was a stressful and unpleasant experience. If you're not car savvy and wish to be treated with dignity, I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere. Edit: So I took a look under my car and sure enough a sensor cord was unplugged and dangling free... Heard the mechanic mention it to the crew and say "Wish I knew where this plugged into!", and I hate to say it- but the plug was literally 3 inches away from the socket... Easy fix, and would've been nice to have been informed about the unresolved issue. Really wish I could come to this location since it's the closest to home and (should be) the most professional- but it seems much of the staff can't be bothered to do their job. Hope y'all can eventually make some changes and maturely assist your customers! read more

Very unprofessional staff. I showed up 20 minutes prior to them closing. Waited for 7 minutes for them to come greet me, all for them to say we aren't taking anymore oil changes. I said what is your cutoff period. Robert said ten minutes prior to closing. I was like ok so then why can't you do my car if I made it before the "cutoff period". He now changed it to 15 minute cut off period. I said oh ok. (Even though I was there before 15 minutes). Asked to speak with the manager Bobby comes over and did not acknowledge that I had been there waiting before both of the made up cut off times. Did not apologize just said we try to have the cars done by five. ( so they don't have to work a second after five, is my understanding from it). If it says they close at 5 they should close at five not make excuses. read more

Have used them for years for our personal cars and work cars. Recently bought a battery with a 3 year warranty- after 1 year car wouldn't start, check battery and it was bad. Took battery to exchange under warranty & was told they wouldn't exchange because I had to drive the car in with the dead battery in the vehicle for an exchange. Explained that the car wouldn't start because battery is bad per my battery charger, and was told I need to jump start the car and take a chance to get it into the shop before they will honor their warranty. Absolutely crazy policy! Will never go here again. read more

I have been going to this location for years as it is convenient and usually great staff. However, in the past month to 2 months I have had so many issues I will not be going back. First about a month ago I pull in to get my safety inspection for my vehicle. There was another vehicle there getting an inspection so they pulled me in another bay and said they would be right with me. The tech came over and began my inspection before telling me the machine broke. So I left and came back about a week later. When I pulled in I was told they only have one technician and he was off. So I ended up going to another auto shop in the area and getting my inspection. Then on Thursday I went to get my regular oil change and tire rotation. They pulled me and and began working on my oil change. Then one of the technicians came over and said they need to check something out, then they looked under my car and told me they couldn't do my tire rotation because I had "aftermarket side skirts" I told them my vehicle was stock and they didn't believe me until another technician told them it was stock on my vehicle model. At that point they had already been working on my oil change so I couldn't just leave and go somewhere else. I ended up paying for the oil change and going somewhere else where I had to pay way more because I wasn't also getting an oil change. When I attempted to contact customer service I never received a response. I won't be back this time. read more

I always get my vehicles oil changes here, inspections and other fluid changes. Just spent about 1,500 between a used Ford Expedition and a Ford Range I bought for my son to have the radiators flushed, transmission, transfer cases and differential fluids changed. So why the one star review? Well i bought a 3yr battery from here just over 2yrs ago for one of my classic jeeps. Went to start and battery was dead, tried to charge it over a day with no luck so i took the battery up to them to check. Sure enough, it tested bad and they checked it multi times. No problem right? They found me in the system under that Jeep and saw when i bought it and was swapping the battery out. The problem? They had to call a manager for approval. The manager said it was policy that you have to bring the vehicle up so they can check the alternator...what? Soooo I'm supposed to drive a vehicle with a dead battery to tbe store to confirm its the battery when you checked it with your equipment and the battery tested bad. WTF??? No store would every require you to bring up the vehicle. You bring in the battery, they test it then you walk out with a new battery. So I went to O'Reillys and bought a battery and used that as a core. I will definitely never buy a battery from them and now that they don't do inspections I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

I was at this facility a few weeks ago for an oil change, and because I knew I was going to need my car inspected, I asked about that service. I was told that inspections were done from 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. This past Friday (11/20), I came in after work. It was about 4:25, and there was no one waiting, there were no cars being worked on. When I pulled in and told them what I needed, the person I was speaking with asked another worker if he "had time for an inspection." He said that no, he did not. When I told them I was informed that I could come in between 8 and 5, the person told me that he leaves work at 5 and so I really had to be there by 4 in order to get my inspection done. Seeing as there was no one being waited on, and from the tone of the man's voice, it really came across to me more that he didn't want to rather than he couldn't. That may not have been the case, and maybe the other person miscommunicated to me, but either way something was not handled properly. This is not the first time I have had trouble with inspections at this facility, although for different reasons. Two years ago, my car was failed due to a crack near the bottom of my windshield. I was told that the reason for this was because it impeded the wipers from moving smoothly across the windshield. I got the crack filled, and returned. At this time, I was told that the car would fail again because of the crack, but it was because the person put on the form that it was an obstruction to my view of the road, and did not mention what he told me on the paperwork at all. I have been going to this facility for oil changes for several years, and have never had any complaints on that front. When it comes to inspections, at least, I feel that they do not handle things in an appropriately professional manner. read more

This establishment should not be in business. I have a 2013 GMC Terrain, and I went in to see why after only driving 2,000 miles since they'd last changed the oil the engine was chugging and cutting out. I was told by a service person there that my make and model "really burns oil" and that even with synthetic oil I will only get about 2,000 miles per oil change. So I had them do the third oil change in five months, with the highest grade synthetic oil. Six weeks and 2,100 miles later, I'm now at Jiffy Lube and after having to go out and buy a special tool to remove the oil filter cap that had been miss-threaded and tightened so tight it couldn't be removed, they were able to remove it and show me the oil filter, which was black as tar and obviously hadn't been replaced in a very long time, and the oil itself in my engine was also black and thick as tar. Basically Valvoline simply added regular oil to my car, never performed an oil change, and charged me three separate times for a full synthetic oil change. I'm lucky I didn't have permanent engine damage. I had Jiffy Lube provide me with the striped cap and black oil filter and I will be contacting the Valvoline corporate office on Monday morning. read more

I went there in June (2014) for an oil change, they stripped out the oil plug when trying to remove it. they said they replaced it. The next day I noticed oil dripping from the bottom of my car. My car is only 1 year old so it shouldn't be leaking anything! I took it back that day. When I got there the guy who was there the day before was working and remembered me. I told him what was going on, he said his manager is there and they would take a look. I was told the replacement plug they used had a small burr on it which caused it to not seal right and that's why the oil was dripping. They replaced it again and and refilled it with oil at no charge. Not once did anybody from management approach me to apologize for what happened. The kid who waited on me the day before was the only one to apologize. That's okay, but with management not even being professional enough to approach me tells me they don't care about their customers. I won't be going back there anymore. read more

teach my 17 yr old daughter some independence. Made her go alone to get a oil change yesterday. I been going here since it open. I have spent thousands of dollars there. minor issues over the years were always corrected professional & satisfied. will NOT spend another dollar here! they did not reset her oil indicator, wrong pressure in tires, and mainly she was told to bring her car in before 3,000 miles. I (father) was not happy to hear this. today I went there to get all issues resolved. first gentlemen resolved car issues& apologized. of course no one knows who said for my daughter to bring in her car before 3,000 miles on SYNTHETIC OIL. Andrew, assist. manager refused a 15.00 dollar coupon and had no apologies. would not assist. my dissatisfaction in any way. poor mannered. I suggest Fathers to teach their daughters oil change places some where else. This Valvoline oil change location lost alot of money today from me. read more
