date of incident 4/1/2025 So i usually don't write reviews EVER! However this one is serious. I had token my Wrangler for an oil change however as when i arrived i had to wait about 20 min which i didn't have a problem with waiting. The problem was whenever they started doing my oil change . There was an elderly man doing my oil change and doing the Ram next to me. I did not think anything of it because they started shouting some codes that i assume they should know. The lady that was shouting on what to do stepped out and saw he had made a mistake in oil. Started yelling at him telling him to just clock out and leave please. I did ask if everything was okay and they were going to fix the issue so as i kept observing i knew something was wrong i asked her again if everything was okay and all she said is that the man had put the wrong oil into my engine but wasn't going to be a problem !!???? so yup i trusted her word . a week later my engine starts making this noise? started leaking and just things kept getting worse and worse until a weeks ago on 4/22/25 I was driving my way back from Arlington as i was i arriving to my destination i just heard a big pop in my engine and suddenly all lights turned on then saw smoke coming out of the hood. THANKFULLY I DONT KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED BUT FEEL LIKE I HAD ANGELS ABOVE ME . THANKFULLY A SHERIFF WAS IN THE ROAD AND SAW ME slowing down as i was slowing down i had realized my whole engine just shut down on me i got off as quick as possible and got my belongings and whole bottom engine lit up fire ... i do blame this place because my jeep was working completely fine until i came here everything went down hill i wish i they can take FULL responsibility of this and because of this i have no way to take my kids to school go to work and everything i have ever worked for will be to get my car replaced or fixed ... i am very dissatisfied read more

I have been to this Valvoline for oil changes a couple of times now, and each time I am pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff is, especially considering I don't know much about cars. The staff explains things in simple terms so us non-car people can still understand what's happening, and I've never been pressured into buying something I didn't need. Recently I went into Valvoline for an oil change. They suggested I also replace my battery and informed me I would get a 3 year warranty. After finishing the oil change and battery swap, I was on my way. The next morning I went out to start my truck and it was completely dead. The new battery was never even tightened onto the terminals it was just sitting there loosely. After finally getting my truck to start, I immediately returned to Valvoline. I sat for almost 2 hours with no update on what was happening. Turns out they needed to replace the "terminal" because it had been rusted over. They failed to tell me this the day before. It gets better: they didn't have any extra "terminals" on hand. It's a Ford F-150, the most common model of trucks on the planet. So an associate had to leave for AutoZone to purchase one. A manager by the name of Adrianne Ford got on the phone with me to explain the situation. I demanded a refund for all services NOT rendered or completed. She stated there's nothing they can do in regard to a refund. It took 3 hours for them to correct and finish the job they didn't do the day before. Do not take your vehicle to this establishment. Not only are they not equipped to complete any maintenance task, but they won't even bother to refund you for services they failed on the day before. Do not trust Adrianne Ford. All she did was hit my battery with some pliers and then a day later, tell me there was nothing she could do as a refund for the issue. I want my money back!! That's $300 I'll never see again. read more

I been here a few times and it was always in and out. I just left after sitting there for 30 minutes. Got ask initially what I needed then never spoke to again about what the delay was. I came to Kwik Oil Change down the road and they had an open bay and I got service immediately. I will say they were nice to my pup so plus for that but Kwik was nicer so overall better experience. Go to Kwik not Valvoline unless you want to spend an hour for an oil change. read more

Amazing service! Always quick! Been getting oil changes from here for about a year. But today Anna was great. She helped me out with getting my cars headlights replaced. She was able to get her hand in the hardest spot to reach and get the job done. Mind you I have had this happen before and Jeep will charge over 1k dollars for this. These guys do a great job. They are, with one (recent*) exception, the nicest, most polite guys. They wil make recommendations to buy additional services every time you come, but there's not (much) pressure. (They will take no for an answer.) Their recommendations are legit, they are things you need, they are not recommending anything weird or extravagant. They check my lights, my tire pressure my wipers and filters. They show me the new oil. It fast in and out. *Redheaded guy, never seen him before, needs to stay in the pit, away from customers. He was extremely rude, temperamental, insolent and struggled to get my oil filter out, apparently. The other guy working had to compensate for him the entire transaction. He evidently didn't like that I was putting my mask on as he was walking up. (Even though the order has been lifted and I am fully vaccinated, but still wearing a mask in case people are uncomfortable) He told me to roll up my window halfway, but the mechanics are not working properly, and it was going all the way up or down, he used a tone that was contempt, talked to me like I was stupid and couldn't comprehend halfway. Nobody had ever asked me to do that before, and I realized it was because of Covid-19 and his anger toward my mask situation. When he told me to turn off my engine, he told me to put my keys on the dash and it was an order that he barked at me from afar, and I realized again that he thought I was too stupid to be trusted with my own keys. If he's working the next time I go back, I am going to refuse service from him. I don't even trust the guy in the pit, due to his temper. I think he's new, he needs to find something else. I have never submitted a review here but as a public service I feel the need. I have lived in Grapevine for 23 years and love supporting my local shops and peeps, something Med to a fault. This shop is down the street and gave them a shot when I turned in a company car and bought one myself. First visit they forgot to give me my wheel lock back, threw it away, and manager never called back to make it right. Then for some reason I suggested my wife take my daughters 1 yr old car in for a quick oil change before heading back to college while I was out of town. They convinced her that she needed a new battery when the car had no issues. Bad karma at this shop and proceed with caution. read more

I have been going to this place for years. There has been a change in management and the new people he hired know absolutely nothing about cars. I was told I had to hand over my car keys so I couldn't start my car while they were performing service. I said over and over, it's a keyless ignition. If my keys are anywhere near the car, the car would start. In my 70 years I have never been told I could not have an oil change unless I turned over my keys. These people don't know what they are doing and I would not go here. Michelle gave me $25 off to stay, but I know if you have someone that doesn't understand what a keyless ignition is, they will screw up your car. read more

The only thing is the guys working their have the personalities of dead fish. I really don't need pomp and circumstance when I drive up but my lord a smile and a hello would not hurt either. This I do not believe seeing as they were all set to do the oil change until I told them I had a Groupon. To then instruct me to go get the filter from the store myself was insulting. Claudia was suuuuper smiley- all of them were which seems to be a rarity these days and I just left smiling because they were so nice! Also for the first time ever I got options on which kind of oil I wanted- have used many other oil change places and they never have asked. ‍ I liked being able to pick the cheaper option instead of being sold the higher one.
