They will lie to you Typically I'm not the type to leave reviews but I feel like this is big enough that other people should be aware. I went in and got my oil changed.. and the first strange thing that happened was this man telling me that I had ZERO oil in my car.. "bone dry" is what he said. And I thought it was strange because I had just checked my oil like a week prior, and even had an extra quart in the back just in case.. and then I realized after the fact that my car has an oil light in it and would tell me if I was low on oil. This isn't the big lie. Maybe a week and a half later my car starts driving funny and I get a check engine light. So after checking the light, I took it in to the mechanic to get diagnosed. I paid over $200 dollars for the mechanic to tell me that whoever took apart my air filter didn't tighten the air intake tube and that's what caused all of my problems. Tightened the hose clamp, cleared the codes and has been driving fine since. But he also told me that for some reason I had at least 2 extra quarts of oil in my car as well. I reached out to valvoline to get this taken care of because I just paid over $200 for someone to take 5 seconds to tighten up a hose clamp. Whoever called me back told me they wouldn't help me. He tried turning the conversation around and making it about the excessive oil and not the hose clamp. He told me they "have footage" of it being drained and how much they put in it, so they're either liars or idiots because 2 quarts of oil isn't going to magically appear in my car. And he refused to acknowledge the hose clamp and said that I should have brought it to them instead of a mechanic........ because valvoline diagnoses cars..? No. And even if they do, they obviously can't tighten a hose clamp, why would I trust them with anything else. All he did was mansplain things that didn't matter and danced around the actual problem until I got frustrated and ended the conversation. Such a HORRIBLE experience. And now I'm out $220. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY BECAUSE THEY DON'T ACKNOWLEDGE OR FIX THEIR MISTAKES. And like I said, either idiots or liars. read more

Didn't receive service after 90 minutes of waiting. Initially told it would be a 30 minute wait. After the 90 minutes I was told it will be another 20 minutes. If you see a line of more than 2 cars here be sure you have at least 3 hours of time available. read more

I have been to this location several times and they always do a fantastic job. Normally they don't try to upsell (which is nice), but even when they do it's not a high pressure thing. I appreciate that their systems and processes are quality driven. I would avoid the lunch rush though....it does take them a bit of time to complete the service. I'd say about 15-20 per car. (But I would rather have them do perfect work than rush). Staff there is very friendly. The manager and assistant manager are visible. Everyone seems to be happy and having a good time - I think that translates into superior service. read more

I've been coming here since I moved from eastern Oregon back in 2017. I went to our usual company we get oil changes from, but I was unimpressed. I tried out Valvoline and I've been coming here since. They are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Honestly, they are fun to watch as they all work very well together. Great teamwork! I had an issue with my tires a while back and they fixed that up right away and explained what was going on. The last time I had my oil changed, they checked it and said I could go another 2,000 miles before I needed to really get an oil change despite the fact the sticker said it was due. We will never go back! First they pulled the oil cooler when they did the oil change. They were not going to tell me freely. But the guy under my car was cursing up a storm. So I asked what was going on. Then they say oh it's no big deal! Huh! Then they didn't replace the skid plate properly. So while driving 70 down the i5 it came flopping down. Scary as all heck!!! Got my oil changed there to give them a chance of having my business but one month later the low oil indicator light goes on. Checked my garage floor and have no leaks . They just added "one quart of synthetic oil" and so I had to buy 4 quarts of synthetic oil at a store to add into my engine. I feel cheated and will not be going back there again. I'll just keep going to my automotive place of choice where they actually add the required oil level needed and won't cheat me to make profits for themselves. If you feel like you have to cheat your customers just to keep your head above water, to bad for you. I will never have an oil change by them again. My car has a oil plug that requires a torx wrench to remove it they tried allan keys and rounded it out than tried channel locks and chewed up the side. Than said they could not do the job. I got an easy out to remove the plug and replace it. than I contacted their home office to let them know and found out they do not stand behind their work take care of damage done by their employees. read more

I had a scare on I-5 and had to pull over and have the engine checked here. They helped me quickly and got me back on the road in just a few minutes and didn't charge me since it was an electrical glitch. I feel terrible not paying such nice guys. For the record I work for a company that is a competitor of theirs and was concerned this is treason--but these two young men were fantastic. I've never gone to Oil Can Henry's and don't live in the area, but I'm thoroughly impressed with how professional and friendly they were. Shame shame on this place. An episode straight out of crank rankers. Needing a cooling system flush I wrongfully chose this place. The strongest person there could not remove my radiator cap. I was informed that I must vacate the premises. A corporate directive prohibits workers from using any tools for liability purposes. That is ridiculous. An auto service center that cant use any tools. I burst out laughing. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. The next day I replaced my cap and returned thinking this time for sure. Arriving with an expecting attitude, a worker said to me, " sir you were here yesterday and yelled and cursed at an employee." " We are refusing your service," Now I'm bemused. Who on God's green earth would become enrage at a business and trustingly return the next day? REDICULOUS! P.S. I came in for a routine oil change on 11/08/2018 to the Woodland WA store, this was my first time at Valvoline and the up sell for other services was dreadful. The technician was extremely pushy on extra services which was very off putting. I came in to get my oil changed as I had a road trip planned the next day. Upon starting the oil change, they "forgot" to drain out the old oil! The new oil was poured right on top of the old. This was a bit of a red flag! During the pushy sales tactics, I was regrettably talked into getting my serpentine belt replaced. After agreeing, they notified me that they didn't have the belt in stock, so they would need to run out an buy one. The staff returned with the belt and after struggling with installation the technician asked "what year vehicle is this"? Mind you, this is after they had taken all of my information into the Valvoline system. The staff was clearly struggling with getting the belt on as there were 3 people trying to get it installed correctly and they had "youtube" videos up on their phones trying to get it right. This seemed to go on for 45 minutes or longer, with staff discussing how to get the belt on correctly between themselves. Clearly, none of the staff on-site had the knowledge to perform this service. Finally, after an extremely long wait (seemed to be over an hour at least) I drove directly home and parked my vehicle for the afternoon/evening. Next morning, I came out to leave the house and upon starting my car the most awful sounds, flapping, and snapping occurred immediately. I opened the hood and the serpentine belt that was supposedly just installed by Valvoline, was broken loose and flapping around. I immediately called the Woodland WA shop to notify the staff/management what had happened. I was told the Manager was not in yet and would return my call. A few hours later the "Manager" called and said that he would come to my house and fix the belt. I let him know I was out of town that day and would contact him to schedule. I have now attempted to contact him 3 times, plus the shop directly and have not received a single response. I gave the "Manager" the benefit of the doubt, being that the holidays were near, so I gave him a little slack. However, he is certainly not responding now to text messages, phone calls or voicemails. I cannot believe the utter lack of training, professionalism, and service I received at this shop. My car is still sitting in my driveway inoperable. I had never had a single issue with my car until the day I took it into Valvoline in Woodland WA. I wish I had read the Yelp and Google reviews for this store as they are very telling! I would like to know how Valvoline is going to resolve this situation, as I refuse to allow any of the staff from the Woodland store to fix my vehicle, since they clearly aren't trained on this type of service. Please advise, as we will be taking further action if this does not get rectified swiftly. read more

I went in for an oil & filter change only. I was on vacation and needed it done. They wanted to check all other fluids and lights etc. I said no knowing my truck did not need them checked, all I needed was oil & filter easy right. Knowing not to trust lazy people, checked their work there was oil all over the filter and the crankcase not leaking but coated. Again to lazy to wipe it down with a clean rag which is what I did. Remember they did not need to do any thing else but remove oil filter replace new filter and remove and reinstall the plug. If you can't do just the basic without leaving a mess than you should not be in busines. Avoid at all cost. read more

Been using this Oil Can Henry's location for a few years because it's close to home and the employees are always really nice. That being said, I always feel like I'm being tricked if I go by myself because I don't know a lot about cars. I always just go for an oil change but they constantly try to talk me into buying/replacing something. Most recently they told me I had a headlight out and could replace it, so I thought "sure, why not?" I didn't realize they would be marking up maybe a $10-15 headlight to $33! I could have just driven down to Napa and replaced it there for half the price. I just wish they were more transparent about their prices, instead of seemingly taking advantage of someone who isn't aware of their high prices. Lesson learned, either be firm in only receiving the oil change or ask for prices beforehand! read more

I took my car in to have an oil change. Before I entered the work bay, I specifically asked the attendant how much it would cost for an oil change for my specific vehicle. He said $79.99. When I got my bill, it was $104. They deceive you to get you in the work bay, then add on costs. He also told me they could reset the service engine indicator, which took them over a half hour to do so. Then when I get home I discover that they did not replace the front engine cover they needed to remove to get to the oil filter, a $420 part from mercedes. Last Friday, I happened to notice that the front passenger floor mat was soaking wet. It was evident that this was not the result of a spilled cup of anything considering the "squishing" sound of saturation. Since my seats weren't wet, I ruled out a cracked window during an overnight downpour. But then I checked the back passenger floor mat... same thing! SOAKED!! Totally perplexed I decided to stop by the local Valvoline after work because I had been there a few days earlier and I thought maybe they could see something from their "underground vantage point". To say they were terrific is an understatement. Did they fix the problem? No. Did they confirm a diagnosis? No. So what did they do? Charles and Brandon spent almost 30-minutes with me, and more importantly, my car. They were on the ground, under the hood, inspecting interior items. They did not have to go out of their way at all to help me given my need had nothing to do with their oil service. But they did. They were bewildered and hoping to find some kind of explanation if only to better equip me with a sense of what needed to happen next. Having worked for luxury hotels for years, I make a point of trying to highlight exceptional service when it comes my way. Thank you, Charles and Brandon, for taking the time to help me and for being so kind and so thorough.
