Fast forward 6 months 5 K later mentioned I do have coupon card last time I was given following discount showed the receipt the rep called manager they stared at screen several minutes and said no. They mark off they check fluids, tire pressure, etc. I can guarantee they didn't fill any additional fluids I watched them mark they did but sure didn't put anything but oil in. The tire pressure isn't what they stated because I knew for a fact my driver front needed air I went to see if they actually did it well they said that tire has 35 for air pressure went to fill it up since I saw they didn't even touch the tires it's 24 air pressure. So I wouldn't trust anything they do. Last visit before this they didn't tighten the oil bolts causing over a grand of diagnostics at another shop to diagnose the oil leak. This was 2 weeks ago and guess what my car is leaking oil. The company itself when I told them this two weeks ago said "I'll reach out to team to address" do you want to know how I know that never happened not one person from that shop has called, nothing but crickets. If you want a company to take your money barely do anything and lie this is the company for you! read more

I was really impressed with their service until driving down I66 and the skid plate came loose and was damaged. I tided up the skid plate and drove to their shop and they put some bolts on it and said call customer service. I was unable to talk to the manager of the store. I have damage and need to get it fixed. Customer service said it would be up to the shop to fix the damage. Customer service connected me with the assistant manager and he said before they could fix it they would have to see it before they could fix it. Remember that they had seen it. I sent a list of parts to customer service and they have seen it. It's a no brainer what needs to be done but I have to take it back Monday so they can relook at what they know. Once I get my car fixed I will never use their service again. I have added pictures to this complaint that you have already seen when I stopped by so you could temporarily fix the issue. Had a great experience here! All the guys were so nice and professional. It started raining so I stopped after just pulling out because I remembered I needed new windshield wipers and one of the guys came out to make sure everything was ok! Exceptional customer service by AJ. Found out during VA State inspection oil leak between engine and transmission. Went to Valvoline until I could get service at dealership. Valvoline will check fluid levels for free. I did end up getting an oil change. And AJ even took a picture of the small leak at differential plug so I would know what was going on. To top things off didn't check tire pressure either and then I asked and they just started adding air in front at 47 psi and should be 35 psi and never added air to back. I got a basic oil change from Valvoline, usually I have no issues, however, this time was totally horrible. When I went to get my next oil change I found out that they over tightened the oil plug, which no one would touch due to possibly cracking the oil pan. So, I took it back to Valvoline to "fix" the problem. After sitting there for over 2 hours, they said that the got me a "new Plug" and everything was fixed. Well, that was a lie!!! Not even a month later, I got a slow oil leak. I took it to a different shop and they informed me that Valvoline replaced it, not with a "new plug" like they told me, but a rubber oversized plug, that did in fact end up cracking my oil pan!!! So after I had to spend $700+ on fixing everything, I filled a claim through their website and still have not heard a word from them about being reimbursed for something that they messed up!!! I will NEVER go back to Valvoline for anything and I will make sure everyone know how they really treat their customers. This is horrible customer service. read more

I had my oil changed here last night, and after I got home my car sent me an email saying it was low on oil (yes, cars do that these days). When I checked the car myself, I found the email was correct - the oil level was well below the minimum level on the dipstick. There has been no evidence of leakage, so it appears that the drain plug was properly replaced, at least. So after I paid $100 bucks to have the car serviced, I had to buy another quart of oil to actually fill it up! As a result, I cannot recommend this business. read more

Very convenient since it's a few blocks away from my house, efficient and friendly. Upper management needs to train employees about COVID-19 procedures. One of the conveniences is that you don't need to get out of your car but if the people working on your car reach in your car and are within 6 feet away from you, they should wear face covering. Most wore it but it was not worn properly. It was either hanging as a chin strap or only covering their mouth and nose was exposed. I had to remind 2 people to wear it properly as they approved me on several occasions. We are in 4 months of the pandemic. Valvoline corporate or onsite management must do better to train their employees. read more

Dear potential Customer of Valvoline Instant oil change at 8538 Sudley Rd Manassas Va I just bought a new car and I took it to Valvoline for my first oil change on 12/30/20. When I took it to another Valvoline for my second oil change on 3/10/21, they informed me that my oil pan nut was striped they said they had to put another oil Pan plug in and they couldn't guarantee that it would hold. The manager of this store was extremely helpful even showing me a video of the oil change process. After reviewing this, I was satisfied it wasn't them and complemented him on his customer service and professionalism. Since the vehicle only had 10K miles on it was easy to determine where and when the oil pan was damage. When I called the other store, they denied it was them. So, armed with the information that there is video available I asked to see it. The store manager said he didn't have the authority to show me. I had to escalate to the regional manager Richard Ward. At first, he was combative and said he saw the video and it wasn't them. So, I asked again if I could see the video. He begrudgingly said yes after several follow up calls and emails. Richard said he was too busy to meet me at the store but the manger would show me the video. When I got to the store the manager couldn't pull up the video. I started to get frustrated because I had to take time off work and I had the feeling of getting the run around. I called Richard back only to hear his indifference of my experience and situation. I asked to contact his superior and he denied giving me that information. Then he said out of the blue he would replace my oil pan just get him a quote. I did what he asked and sent to him for his review. I received no confirming email that he received my email. So, a few days later I called him back he acknowledges by phone he received it then told me to get it replaced and Valvoline would pay for it. I asked him to send me a conformation email of our agreement he refused. I explained to him that doesn't make sense since I have no guarantee Valvoline would pay for this. So, I asked to get his bosses information and he refused to give me that information again. In conclusion I have been a loyal customer going to this Valvoline for over 15 years. This experience has forever damaged my opinion Valvoline Sudley Rd. I don't recommend taking your vehicle here because if you have a problem, you're on your own. read more

If it's a "training day", just leave. Pulled in to get an oil change at 3PM. All 3 bays full, no problem. Waited about 15 to 20 minutes in line in the vehicle, me and the family. Finally get up to bay, to my surprise a synthetic oil change is $115, comparable changes at other places is $90 at best. Still, I'm here and waiting, so fine, I also require an additional quart for my car, fine. They pull you in and you wait in your vehicle with it off in the summer heat, ahh joy. Remained fine, cracking jokes with staff. Staff advises me my coolant needs a flush as the reservoir is empty and the, "radiator is drying out". I ask to see what they mean. Reservoir is in fact empty and condensation is in the reservoir. Am told gmc vehicles sometimes burn coolant. I ask if there is a visible leak, am told they will not be able to see it. Erm, ok. The flush is $130.. bear in mind I came to spend $75 and be in and out in 15 minutes as advertised on the building. It's now 45 minutes total to this point. I am then told they do not have the oil filter for my vehicle and would I mind waiting for about 15 minutes so the parts guy can go get it. I'm here now in the bay hood up so yeah, guess so bud. I am curious now to see it all play out. This new total puts me in a bind as I am just a working Joe. I advise the young man that the two services will need to be paid for separately and the oil change with its higher cost will need to be split onto two cards. One debit one a credit card, and the coolant flush will be a second teansaction on one card, my wife will cover. 2 rransactions, 3 cards total. They perform the coolant change while we wait for the filter to arrive with my permission. We have been in the car with no ac in 93degree weather for 20 minutes now. I get out to ask for the key, (you get to hand that over when you pull in for safety, though you end up having to start the car several times during the process for checks to be made) another worker in the next bay offers to let the fam go inside to cool off, nice of him. My wife declines, we figure we are almost done. Filter arrives, took about 25 minutes to get and return. an hour and a half ish, in the heat so far. Oil and coolant changes done, on to payment. The young man after being reminded twice, botches the split transaction, for the oil change trying to put the entire almost $300 on one credit card, and has to credit a card back. Some of you may know, this is not an instant process. Now, we end up spending almost 4 times what was planned, waited an hour in 93 degree heat in the car and was darn near overdrawn had a supervisor not steppwd in. They gave us a 20percent off coupon TO BE USED NEXT TIME. HAHAHA, right, next time. Next time, i will go to Jiffy lube. read more

Went here the other day to get my girlfriends car's oil changed First of all it was really busy that morning but one of the staff came out to sort us into 1 of 3 bays that they have there This was the first time that I had actually came here but my girlfriend comes here all the time to get her oil changed So when I was able to drive in they tested all my lights to make sure they were working. The employee then opened the door to scan the vin number and then all her account info popped up on his computer with what kind of oil she previously got. Which helped me out a lot. The employee was more efficient than friend but it was understandable because of how busy they were. I was in and out within 15 minutes which is great. At a total cost of $57 which was for the premium oil (women!!) and less the coupon that she gave me for it. In all a very well run highly efficient service! read more

By far the best Valvoline location around. Used to located on Rt 28 in Manassas Park but moved to Sudley Road a couple years ago - same employees. The manager is awesome, and really demands quality service from his employees. I have been a regular costumer for valvoline but the last time was a terrible experience , i waited for more than an hour , they made me change the bay 2 times then 3 costumers they arrived after me ; they get the service first ,when i asked why?? the person in charge let my car get in for start the oil change ,he check my car miles , request to open my car hood then he disappear, i waited for 5 minutes more but the car # 4 was ready for to go home , that moment was the time for to think ,i look like stupid here, these people don't care about me ,i don't know if was because I'm latin guy or my skin color ; but I'm sure i was treated differently , really it's a shame when a company the slogan is 15 minutes fast service and the costumer wait more than 1 hour . read more

Aug 08 2018 I drive a 2011 Honda Insight for work. I was in a rush to get my oil changed before driving from Manassas to Orlando Florida. I brought my own mobile 1 oil and filter. They did a really good job they identified that I had an oil leak after doing a leak down test. They found I had a bad washer and drainplug. Both were replaced for free. Also my plastic under the car was dragging I must have hit something. Valvoline secured everything back perfectly. All fluids topped off and my trip was great! I went to Florida and back no problem. I really appreciated knowing everything was fixed! Thanks valvoline for being so thorough! They even cleared the reminder code from my dash almost every oil change place misses that little detail.
