Urgh. My Mazda is the first car I've purchased new and we take excellent care of it. You'll find my nose in the manual checking to make sure that we are to date on specific services and updates. For that reason, I'm so loyal to the dealership who meticulously cares for my car like I do. We were attended to by Derek, who explained the services, and Taj who did the manual work. These gentlemen were TOP NOTCH. Derek was friendly, laid-back and informative. He ensured that we understood his job is to tell us about the services they can provide but that we shouldn't feel pressured to get them done immediately. His demeanor immediately gained our trust and made him feel like a credible serviceman. We waited approximately 5 mins for service. The oil change was $78 and took around 15 mins. Derek explained the two options for oil and that once you go full synthetic, you can switch back to the lower quality. Bingo-- we learned something new! He also taught us where to find the manufacturer's recommend tire pressure. Knowledge is powerful and I sincerely appreciated the way Derek transferred his knowledge to us. Our oil change is complete and we're already several hundred miles into our road trip. No signs of issues at all. I've had plenty of issues at Jiffy Lube and generally wouldn't trust a quick service like Valvoline but this made me change my mind. Hats off to you, gentlemen! read more

Also why were they so insistent that my vehicle required synthetic-when the dealer never even required it. They tried to charge me $69 to change a light bulb, after quoting me $14.99. Then had the nerve to be flippant when I said they need to remove the lightbulb if they aren't going to honor their quoted price. They asked if a tire pressure of 35 was acceptable but they never added Air. My pressure was 34; 32; 34; and 32. They also had entered my car as an AWD. BE CAREFUL - they do not always drain all the oil out! I just had a terrible experience and saw the dipstick with what looked like 2 quarts over. They tried to tell me it was because I cane in low that it was high (impossible). I called the manager over and she initially wanted to just drain the excess (leaving old oil in the engine). I told her I saw the incompetent person not drain all of the oil out. The manager agreed to drain and refill the oil. When it was drained, they took out 6 quarts (they only put 4 3/4 in). I had my partner take our Toyota Avalon in there for an oil change and had given her a coupon for a Full-service conventional oil change for $29.99. This says on the coupon it includes oil, filter, lube and maintenance. It does NOT specify what type of oil filter. They proceeded to say the coupon was only for certain types of oil changes apparently that we did not have - they switched the oil- i guess - and then told us that we would need to get the oil filter changed. They charged us $40.00 for basically a few quarts of oil being put in. I could have bought oil and changed it for a lot less! I was going to have them do my jeep too but thank God I didn't! So basically, I spent $40 for nothing since I will still have to take my car somewhere to get a real oil change where they will actually change the oil filter. The sad part is I tried to make sure they were decent and unfortunately google reviews showed more good reviews then bad, so I thought I was ok. went in for oil change with tire pressure sensor showing low pressure. Guy with a pony tail on top of his head said all four tires were 35 bs as should be. Left the store pressure alert still on. checked myself-3 tires 40 lbs and 1 30 lbs. Pumped the 30 up and pressure warning went away. Returned a week later to see if they had checked the trans oil level . They told me on the f-150 you can't check the oil because it is a sealed unit and you can't check it because all the oil will run out. lie number 2. I had a transmission fluid flush & fill done. Shortly after leaving, my car kept slipping out of gear (which was not happening before the service). When I got home, I called the Middletown location and was told that they'd done everything appropriate on their end and they could top the fluid off. Not satisfied with that offer, the following day I went to the New Castle location (which is closer to my work) and they offered to redo the service. While doing so, they had me start and shut off my engine at various times, as directed by the machine, as well as shifting through the gears, which was not done at the Middletown location. My car is working fine now, thanks to the New Castle location and I no longer have any confidence in the Middletown location, due to their very sloppy work, inattention to detail and lack of customer service. I would need to decide if I will ever return to Valvoline - if I do, it certainly won't be to the Middletown location. read more

I went here twice and both times I had issues with the quality of the service. The first time I went with my 2014 Chevy Silverado. I paid them to change my windshield wipers. They insisted they had the right wipers in stock, yet they wouldn't fit. No big deal right? Well, they kept be in the bay for almost an hour and a half while they used a knife to slice the wipers to fit my windshield. Then they charged me...a lot, for this jury rigged job. I ended up purchasing new wipers from Wal Mart for 1/4 the price and my husband put them on-free of charge. Second, my husband went in about 2 weeks later, despite my warning. The oil change went fine, but a few days after the oil change he saw something appeared to be hanging from his new 2016 Honda CRV. They removed the plastic protective coverings to expose the oil filter and plug, but did not replace it after the oil change. He called them asking them to replace it, and they never returned his call. We will not be going back and are making sure to tell our friends about the rinky dink business going on there. read more

I have never used one of these drive thru services. I've always taken my vehicles to the dealership for service. I received a premium synthetic oil change, new air filter, tire rotation, and new windshield wipers all for under $200 and was in and out in 25 minutes. Compared to what that would have cost at the dealership and the ridiculous amount of time I would have had to wait, I thought this was excellent. The staff were professional, courteous, and helpful.
