As I was leaving Costco I noticed that there wasn't a long line of vehicles so I decided to give it a try. Absolutely horrible experience. We brought our Jeep in for a routine oil change, and the very next day we discovered a large oil puddle in our garage. My wife drove back to have them check it, but we were told everything looked fine and it is normal to find a little oil leaking after the change. Later, we asked our trusted mechanic to inspect the engine, and he found that the oil filter had been installed incorrectly and that the oil filter housing was broken, clearly the cause of the significant oil leak. This was extremely frustrating and concerning, as it could have led to serious engine damage. read more

Service is extremely slow. You have to turn off your car and I'm sitting in my car for quite awhile pulled into the bay and nobody is working on my car. I go to several different Valvolines in the area and this was by far the slowest. Would not recommend. read more

I came here yesterday because it was the closet oil lube near me. Was I impressed! When they say 15 minute oil change they mean it!! Or try to aim at it. Nate was the gentleman helping me out. So as you drive around they open the garage door and guide you on top of one of the lane. They then take down your standard information and while they do that. Nate was giving orders to the other employees to start doing. By the time Nate took down all the information on the maintenance my truck had already and what it needed I heard my hood close and they were done. Very professional and very quick. Price was not too bad. I called earlier to get store hours (8am-7pm Monday through Friday) and they offered me a coupon for a conventional oil change and a tire rotation. So the oil change was about $27.99 after coupon. In my opinion this place is worth it especially if you don't have time to take it to "bigger name" auto shops for oil changes. I'm sure they do the same if not better job. There whole business model is really to get you in and out as quickly and safely as possible. Also, you don't even get out your vehicle! In most cases you don't. I got a tire rotation the next day and they made me get out :) they do have a small lobby/wait area with half a dozen chairs , water fountain , and restrooms. They also have all kinds of windows next to the waiting area so you always know what they are doing to your vehicle. I'll update the review once they are done with tire rotation. I personally like this and will be back. Update#2 - Tire rotation was $14.99 after coupon and took about 15-30 minutes because of my large wheels and tires. No big deal since I was not in a rush . I work rotating shifts and getting errands done can become a challenge. Due to my odd working schedule my state inspection expired. I pulled up after work one day in hopes that I may be able to complete this annual task. Barry and his crew were the answer to my prayers that day. Not only were they professional, kind, and helpful but they were completing some housekeeping around the facility. This shop is very clean and no obstructions were visible that may become a tripping hazard. I work in a industrial setting and these guys impressed me. No fluids topped off, tires were not checked, I was rushed in, after I had to go buy my own filter. It was deducted m; however, after a service fee for the exact amount deducted (just over it). The African American gentleman that was "supposedly" helping me, was disingenuous and quite frankly just watching the time to clock out. Caucasian kid was a bit better; however, he appeared rushed and not focus on the task ahead. Just not very good attitude and attention to details. I've always trusted Valvoline, I've been loyal since California to Texas for over five years. This is the second time there is a lapsed in service. Will be given them another try. read more

Will not be going back, they damaged my vehicle. Didn't put all the pins back in my undercarriage shield and I didn't know that so after going down the freeway it has bent over time and now needs to be replaced. Recommend nobody going here. Overpriced and incredibly slow. Like snails pace. Also beware they will try to upswell you big time on random repairs that are unnecessary. Update in response to the owners response: This place was fully staffed. Each bay had several people working. The issue isn't lack of staff it was lack of urgency and the focus on attempting to upsell items. read more

It has happened multiple times that I have driven all the way to Valvoline, the bays were full and I was the first car waiting to enter the bay, then another car arrived after me and was guided into a bay before me when I had been sitting there waiting for 5-10 minutes before them. They used to send someone out to let me know which bay to wait for, but they have stopped doing that and now it's a free for all. Never going back. read more

This is my first to bring my car to this location and I parked my car on the lot and walked inside. I thought it was odd that the room is tiny and there's only the bathrooms. I didn't realize this is a drive-thru. Well, that's a first for me since I'm so used to waiting in a lounge during an oil change. I drove to the back and parked on the right most car entrance waiting for it to open. A guy motioned for me to drive in. I didn't know either that I can stay in my car the entire time. I felt silly! Anyway, the guy helping me out (named David) discussed with me the different options they had and I gave him the sticker from Kwik Kar Lube. I happen to have a $16.99 coupon for the synthetic blend so I told him to go ahead and use my coupon for it. He did the routine checks and found that my back wiper is needing replacement (I knew it did as I've never replaced it since I bought the car!). My front wipers also needed replacing (another thing I also know fully well). He gave me the back wiper for free. Then he showed me my filters caking with yucky dirt but one of them was kinda pricey. He said he's giving me 10% discount on it. Overall, I saved about $30 and I was out of there in about 30 mins. I'm really impressed!!! read more

Dublin wives beware. My wife recently got a oil change for our daughter's Jeep Cherokee. When she told me the cost I nearly flipped out. Over $80 for semi synthetic and they failed to deduct for a coupon. They also got her for a $20 air filter on top of the $80 and some other add ones. I can normally arrange for an oil change when she is at college for around $45. Do not go here without first establishing all in costs. read more

I read good things about this Valvoline location on Yelp when I was searching for a new oil-change place, so I thought I'd give it a try. I wish I hadn't. Like others have said, this is a drive-through lube place, which means that they allow you to stay in your car while it's being serviced. Great idea. So I drove into the bay and did as the guys directed. There was no one at the place, so I got immediate service. So far, so good. But things went downhill from there. I'm aware that most quick-lube places try very hard to upsell customers on other services. They make quite a bit of money on them, so I get it. But I am always very explicit with techs that I *only* want an oil and filter change. Nothing else. I say it right up front to they're aware of what I want. So right after I told the Valvoline service tech that I didn't want any other services, I realized that he was digging around in my air-cleaner box. Not happy. When the guy came to my window as is customary to inform me that my air filter was terminally dirty, I told him again that I only wanted an oil and filter change. Apparently that didn't have the desired effect, so he continued his pitch for a bit. I just looked at him unamused, and eventually he returned the filter to the box. After that, the tech asked me what kind of oil I wanted while looking at his computer screen. When I told him full synthetic, he suggested I might want a lower-cost blend. I told him no, my automobile manufacturer demanded full synthetic only. That apparently rubbed him the wrong way, so he started to tell me all the reasons that was a myth, like I was going to take his word over that of the OEM. Again, not amused. So as they were letting the oil drain from the pan, another tech came to the passenger's side of the car, opened the door, and immediately opened my glove box without saying a word about what he was doing. When I asked, he told me he was checking my cabin filter. I'd had enough by then, so I told him in no uncertain terms to leave the filter where it was and stop trying to upsell me. Apparently that angered them, because they immediately told me I would have to exit the car for them to finish the oil change. No reason given, just get out of the car. I did, and when I stood next to the car, one of the techs told me that I couldn't stand there. Ok. So after I waited for them to finish the service in the waiting area, the main tech presented the bill, which came to $110. I've had half a dozen oil changes in my car before, and none of them had approached triple digits. I asked to see the invoice, thinking they'd tacked on some unwanted service, but no, they're just very proud of their oil. Granted, I did not ask about pricing up front, so I couldn't complain too much, but that doesn't mean it isn't overpriced. And there wasn't even free coffee in the waiting area. So, bottom line, I wasn't impressed with this place. It was overpriced and the techs were unprofessional. The best I can say about it is that no one was there and the service was quick, but that's it for the positive. As a parting gift, I realized later that they'd wiped my windshield with a dirty rag that left a hazy film on it. Thanks, y'all. read more

That was by far the most professional oil change I have ever received in my whole life. The guys that were working were extremely nice and courteous and professional and polite. These guys are extremely transparent in the work that they do. You can see exactly what is going on underneath your car and in front of your car with cameras that are being recorded live. I was very impressed by that. I was also impressed that they did not hassle me about up charges but they did make it very clear what I needed. They also gave me a Carfax report. I said so not even for future business. He apologized and said no. I said thanks and left. This was on 10/27/18. Won't ever go back. I just had the best experience! As most people I hate going to get my oil changed, but these guys were very fast and took care of all my needs. One you can stay in your car while they complete the oil change so that's a plus. Second since you are right there they show you your air filters and check all your lights. I needed tag lights they were out and I would have never known, that saved me a ticket down the road. They didn't try to over sell me anything at all either. I needed new windshield wipers ( I knew already) but prior to going I had bought some at Target. They grabbed them out of the trunk and replaced them for me. I had my oil changed, fluids topped off, cabin air filter changed and windshield wipers replaced in like 20min. Called twice before I left my house to make sure they were open and in fact closing at 5:30pm. It was confirmed twice, by two young ladies. I drive 30 min to get there. I pull up, 'open' sign is flashing, large sidewalk sign outside in front of the lobby saying "drive thru oil change open". I pull up to the back only to be informed they are already closed. Employee suggests he can get the supervisor, so I agree to that. Supervisor Tim comes out telling me I contacted a call center and that if I had pressed 9, instead of 3, which is to speak to a service representative, that it would have sent me straight to the bay phones. I told him I drove 30 min to get there after reconfirming they were open TWICE and he said "he wished he could help me". Well, Tim thanks for not helping and waisting my time and gas. read more

Took my F150 in for an oil change. Waited about 15 minutes, which was fine. Pulled in for the 39.95 synthetic blend oil change and after a few wiper and air filter pitches they were done in less than 15 minutes. My bill was over 70.00 with a 15.00 coupon deduction. After I got home, I decided to hook my truck up to a trailer and noticed an oil spot in the driveway where I parked my truck. Upon further investigation I notice the oil filter had seepage. I was able to tighten it with a strap wrench. I would not recommend the League City Parkway Store. It's full of inexperienced young workers. I won't be back. read more
