I went in for an oil change, but he did all the checks that would only be done for a yearly inspection. He was quick, thorough, and professional, and I was beyond impressed. Busy but very kind and quick as they possibly can be. Even though this specific joint isn't a corporate Valvoline, they still gave me a small discount when I presented a coupon and explained in the future I couldn't use them. The prices aren't even bad to begin with, though. They are the first people that have changed my oil and showed me my air filters and stuff, and they were super helpful in telling me how to change them. Recommend!! read more

Worst experience ever! Needed a state inspection and we barely pull in and the guy says "nope I won't do it you windshield is tinted". My husband tried to explain the window has UV/RFID resistant glass but zero tint. The guy becomes even more obnoxious about how he can see the tint. We try to explain this car comes from the factor this was as do many high end SUV's today. Needless to say we went somewhere else with no issue as we did last year; but this guys demeanor and know it all smart mouth drove me to the review. All I can say is do some research, learn the technology and learn the inspection law (which we happen to know very well). Don't be surprised when you get an educational visit from the DPS inspection investigator in the near future. read more

First time to visit. Needed a state inspection. Waited 15 minutes and no one acknowledged I was there. I even went in to the counter to wait. A technician came in to take something off the printer and didn't even make eye contact. Worse customer service, I left and went elsewhere. read more

I went in to get my oil change like I normally do. The guy taking care of my car was very nice and polite. Everything was running smoothly as you would expect until it was time to pay. All I had was a $100 bill and the manger flipped out and started cussing at me. It went downhill from there. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I came to get an oil change. After they were done as I was pulling out I heard a loud scraping noise underneath my car so I stopped immediately and looked directly at an employee who "checked" underneath my car and said "nothing wrong just hit the exhaust a little" so I continue to pull out and my entire car is shaking so I pullover and get out immediately and my entire exhaust was ripped apart. I walked right up to the employees and not one wanted to acknowledge me. They "fixed" my exhaust and now I have to spend a lot of money trying to get it fixed. Oil change and service here is good but the price is not. It's $60 and if you're wondering no they do not accept military discounts or any coupons. For a service that may cost them $25, assuming they don't get buy in bulk discounts, they are charging an awful lot, especially since they don't except coupons. You don't accept military discounts okay, but to not even accept coupons is ridiculous. I have always used valvoline instant oil change places and this is one I will never return to and I do not recommend going here to anyone. This place is a joke! Pulled up at 9am on a Saturday and waited for nearly 15 min without a greeting. All 2 bays were full with only ONE guy working while the other 3 Valvoline employees (manager was leaned up against the rail w/o a care, the girl was just walking circles around the computer podium, and another lit up a cigarette inside the place while gazing at the line of cars) were well aware of the line of customers but refused to greet them and let them know it may be a longer wait or what was going on. It's all about perception. LAZINESS! Who knows, there may had been a legit reason for why they were not doing a thing, but they APPEARED to not care! Get off your tail and talk to customers. Maybe you wouldn't had lost the business of 4 vehicles + my own. We took our business to the other Valvoline down the road and they got it right! They were busy too, but greeted us and Everyone was amazingly working as a team! We didn't mind waiting, but it was evident by their actions that they were MOTIVATED as a TEAM to earn our business. It seems as though I'm not the first customer with a similar review as mine. The owner should be aware and not continue to overlook the increasing negative reviews of this location (nearest to hwy317) I suggest this location get some customer service training from the other locations (one near 7-11/loop) (and the one on N 31st near KFC). I don't care how long the manager has been there and that he has a lot of repeat business...this is one mistake I won't repeat. read more

CAUTION. This place was a real cluster F. Didn't check fluids or wiper blades. Used oil, but nor clear that it was synthetic. Employees had to run around searching for an oil filter after the oil was drained. Filled tires with uneven pressures and didn't put valve stem caps on one side. Also left greasy palm prints on steering wheel. If they checked the wipers, they would've seen they needed replacing. Missed a sale there. Be nice if they took pride in their work and treated your vehicle as if it were their own. read more

I went to Valvolene for the first time with a coupon for 7 dollars off. I was told when I pulled in that they don't accept any coupons as they are corporate. I asked the woman where in Temple I could use a coupon and she told me that there was not a location in Temple or Killeen that would accept any coupons as all the valvolene a locally were corporate ones. I feel as though this is a scam on there part and would not recommend anyone use this business. I will be reporting them to the BBB as well read more
