Oil change? More like soul change. Came in on 6/18 in my 2016 Toyota Highlander, running on 2 brain cells and pure vibes. I was exhausted (pun intended), couldn't remember basic things like how cars work, how payment works, or honestly how to function as a human adult. One of those days. Enter Chris and Anthony--legends. Dynamic duo. Oil change dream team. I don't know which one is which (memory was not included in my standard package that day), but one of them went above and beyond and made me feel like I had my life together even though I was basically just a sentient hoodie in the shape of a person. It wasn't the one who got in the pit--it was the one grabbing the parts, the oil, and somehow radiating calm, capable energy. Pretty sure that was Anthony, but they'll know. Oh, they'll know. Fast, friendly, professional, and patient in a way that deserves a medal or at least a bonus. I felt seen. I felt heard. I felt like maybe--just maybe--I could get through the rest of my day without accidentally setting something on fire. If upper management is reading this: promote them, clone them, build a statue in the breakroom. Sabotaged. During my truck oil change guy in pit said I had a really bad rear main seal oil leak. well I know my truck and park on a white concrete driveway. Very few drops of oil on driveway. Besides well kept truck has 230,000 miles on it. Guy argued w me. He was even rude about it. over the next two weeks or so I began leaking oil like crazy even having to add a lot. I finally crawled under my truck and instantly saw my oil filter spinning like a top on the filter stem it screwed onto. Obviously, Pit guy left it very loose on purpose. Additionally, I found a rear main seal bolt right next to the oil drain plug nut was removed. Again, I know for a fact it was there before the oil change and they just do not fall out. Now undercarriage of my truck covered in oil as well as my driveway. Oil is also contaminated. Manager and Regional manager refused to fix anything, refused to change my oil again for free to correct the problem, refused to have my truck cleaned underneath and denied any wrong doing. I have pictures and emails to prove it. Stay away from Take 5 Oil change especially in Belton Texas! Go somewhere else or just do yourself. read more

Take 5 oil change in Belton, left the gasket to the old oil filter in while changing my oil (creating a double gasket scenario). I only found out about it because while I was driving down the road when my Low Oil Pressure light came on. I quickly pulled over and shut my engine off and came to the realization that the oil all down the side of my truck (pictured) and in large puddles beneath the oil filter was coming from the oil filter which had a gap between the filter and housing. Thankfully Mike, the on duty manager for the store at the time, set me up with enough oil and a new filter to get me down the road to a shop. I finally got a response from "a manager" Ronald, FOUR DAYS AFTER the fiasco. He was quick to shift the blame and attempt to use a scapegoat, (the 1 month or 1000 mile warranty) and finally let me know his "regional manager" would be reaching out. He also stated that I should have notified them first and waited for their inspector to find out whether or not it was "their fault" before doing anything else. Here I sit, almost a week later and I have yet to speak with that "regional manager." read more

Went to Take 5 on Main St in Belton, TX. My mechanic said they snapped 3 out of 4 air filter screw bolts off after changing my oil, and new air filter. And the 4th was stuck in there with Loctite so tight, that NOBODY could get it out. I had to call the company & they said to go back & make them fix it. They could have told me that happened even if they blamed it on me. I found out after my car started acting funny -+ engine light staying on. Thats when a mechanic looked at it, showing ne the air filter hiysing not held fown by anythibg, just sitting on top. They couldhad just told me that and fixed it while i was there. the stupid bolt would've been better and I wouldn't have had to call the company on them. Too bad huh. And I will be back to make them fix it like the company said they would. Do you think I'm ever going back there again for an oil change? read more

Hours of operation Monday through Friday, opens at 0700.. NOPE. Waited around until 0720 then left, called at 0745 someone finally answers. Return with our vehicle for inspection and the building is wide open with no one inside!! Honked the horn, knocked on the door. What kind of business is run like this?!? I've been here before in my company truck which has a ten foot box on the back. Although it took over an hour to get in with only two cars ahead of me, I was able to pull my truck in the bay after they unclipped the banner. I returned today, and was turned away because my truck wouldn't fit under their banner. I told them it was unclipped last time so I could pull in, but apparently now it suddenly a company policy that it remain in place. I was turned away. So it would seem that advertising their services is literally more important than performing the services. read more

For starters, a one- star is very generous. My daughter took her vehicle to this location, and the attendant, who was in training, and supervisor by his side removed the transmission fluid instead of the engine oil. Unbeknownst to them, they over-filled the engine oil and then left the transmission empty. They drove off from this location, only to return a short time later after experiencing mechanical problems. So, Take5 accepted their mistake, and deferred the issue over to FLEET, who is a third-party affiliate who processes claims. The only solution FLEET offered is to get a transmission from the junk yard (LKQ). There's zero knowledge of the history of this part, let alone any recourse or warranty for the part they are offering. You can have the part for 3 months, maybe a year, but whenever it breaks, it's your responsibility to repair it. So rather than take full responsibility for their negligence, Fleet, at the behest of Take 5, forces consumers into a corner to accept their solutions, rather than offer a viable solution that is equitable for the patron. So, I ask you, do you really want to support a local company that provides services like this? I surely hope that you drive right past this place and save yourselves the heartache that they are known for delivering. To the manager of this location, I certainly hope you revise your procedures to ensure this never happens again. read more

My 18 year old Son went by here to get his oil changed and they totally took advantage of him and charged him over $90.00 for a small 4 cylinder engine and when he questioned them about it they told him he had no other options! Two guys working that took forever to come out and no customers were there ...I thought they might have been closing ...so Thomas comes out and doesn't say hi or anything! Asked what I needed , did offer to do the inspection which was nice . They were not very confident in doing their job . I finally asked if they knew what they were doing and they said yes.... I asked for a water and he was nice . They just don't seem to be very professional. read more
