Went for an Oil change & they recommended I have do a radiator fluid exchange. Did it. Drove to Big Bear a month later and my car overheated. I was stuck on the side of the mountain for 3 hours in 97 degree heat. Turns out they left the radiator cap loose. They said they would refund the money for the fluid exchange. 12 foot clearance bays is convenient for tall vehicles. Friendly staff and informative. They do try and upsell with things like, oil plug, wipers if needed, gas and supplement. They check your fluids, tire pressure, and your lights, which I thought was pretty nice. It took about 15 minutes max and no appointment needed! I went in to get an oil change and get my rear differential changed. As usual service was great! After I left I heard a rattling under my hood, I thought maybe something was lose. I went back and the guys there were more than happy to check what the noise might be. They checked all the fluids again and found that one of them was overfilled. They fixed it and I didn't hear the rattling anymore. Very happy with the service and how helpful each of the guys were. Definitely recommend them for their services! read more

I used to swear by Valvoline! It oil changes easy because it was so fast and painless until now... After my most recent visit to this location my car started acting up and making these loud screeching noises that sounded like a transmission problem making my car "undriveable." I called my friend who's a mechanic and he said to stop driving it immediately and take it to the shop. My car also started leaking a dark red fluid in my driveway (which stained the driveway) which was transmission fluid. It was hard to believe that my transmission was failing because it was pretty new and the Valvoline techs I had just seen said it was good to go. Because my car was not safe to drive I had to pay to have it towed to a local mechanic. The mechanic took my car in over the weekend and after about a week they called saying that it was not a transmission issue and instead it there was a valve/screw if some sort not replaced properly after some sort of transmission check or oil change which is exactly what Valvoline had just performed on my car just a week or 2 prior. My transmission was 1000% checked during the oil change it is on my receipt and during the process they quickly rushed me in and out without properly replacing everything causing my car to act up almost causing permanent damage and on top of that it forced me to have to pay to tow my car to and from a mechanic and best of all I had to pay a mechanic $250 + to tell me that the oil change techs aka Valvoline did not do their job properly. I called Valvoline several times to report this and never received any sort of apology or credit. I was a huge Valvoline supporter through and through and now I will never go back or recommend them to anyone I know. Please stay away from this place if it's the last thing you do!!!! read more

First time I went there to get my car checked out before heading to Vegas I had them check my tire pressure. Not long into my journey my check tire pressure light came on and my tire pressure was low. My second trip there I took my car in to recharge my AC. A few days layer my compresser went out and was sparking under the hood.. upon further inspection my ac was overcharged, my valves blew and barrings are messed up. When I took my car back they told me they couldn't do anything about it. I will never go back there again and I highly do not recommend it not only from my experience but from what I've heard from others well. read more

I wish zero stars was an option. On March 12, 2022 I came here as usual for the normal oil change on my 2014 Outback. Tech recommended a radiator flush, coolant exchange, and upper radiator hose replacement, which I agreed needed to be completed at a cost of $99.07. This is in addition to the $94.99 for the oil change. I then drove home and did not drive my car until Monday March 14. It was then that I began to smell hot coolant and my car began to overheat severely. Upon opening the hood, I discovered the new radiator hose had not been properly secured with the hose clamp. The hose had detached from the radiator and all the coolant had been lost. Luckily, I carry tools and was near an auto parts store where I purchased 2 gallons of coolant at an additional cost to me of over $45.00 so I could continue with my day. I've been coming here since it was Oil Can Henry's, but feel the service and quality has deteriorated as the price has increased. This was the final straw. I will not be returning or recommending this location in the future. read more

I would start by saying they think they're mechanics. I have brought several trucks from my business here and every time something gets broken, but worst of all the leaks. I have not had an L.O.F without having a leak. All trucks are newer with less than 30,000 miles. They offer no remedy and once they get your money and you drive off it's basically your problem. In my opinion, save yourself the headache and take it to Les Schwab or Pep Boys. read more

Not sure what they are talking about. Being Mexican, i have never experienced racism at this location. Great, fast, and curtious service. My friend recommended this place and I have been unimpressed with where I was going. I needed a new air filter, they showed me the old and the new one. I also requested to check my transmission fluid and they showed me the color of new against mine. I didn't need a flush but it was nice to see with my own eyes. Better than what I expected for a quick oil change garage. The customer service from start to finish is 5 stars. I called to verify the hours for Sunday. I had a few hours before they closed and I decided to take the car in for service. I arrived at the location, the entrance for the cars to enter the service bay is in the back. When I arrived I was quickly greeted by a worker who said to please wait in the car they will be with me shortly. There were 2 cars in the bay being serviced and one truck waiting for service in front of me. Approximately 5 minutes waiting in the car it was my turn to drive into the service bay. In the service bay I was greeted by a service person who writes up the service tickets. He asked if I have been to the shop before. I replied no first time. He said welcome, and went over there services. We agreed on a oil change. He said perfect. While I waited in the car, I observed all the staff were wearing face coverings and gloves. The workers were joking around with each other in a fun way. you can tell the service team has been working with one another for quite some time, they were quick and professional as they shouted out what the cars needed. What impressed me was they checked the headlights, turn signals, back up lights and brake lights. turns out the car had a rear back up turn bulb out. They removed the air filter OMG it was full of dirt and bugs! yes this was changed, I know I could have changed it myself and saved a few dollars but it was ok this team was on and they had the air filter in stock. Service in the bay took approximately 15 minutes or a little less they are quick. I paid for the service and the young man asked me how was our service? I replied it was great thank you. Overall for a quick oil service shop I recommend you bring you car to this shop. read more

I needed my front headlight bulb replaced. Let me start with...I went to Youtube to see how to do this myself. Pretty simple. Kind of like unscrewing a gas cap and snapping in a new bulb. I just did not personally want to do the labor myself. I called a local, popular mechanic and was told, "Well, they usually go out at the same time so you might as well get both. With the bulbs and labor, I can do it for you for $170.00." I called Ramona Tires in Redlands, where I last purchased tires, and was told, "Well, we will have to remove the front bumper to do this, so with one bulb and labor, $150.00." REALLY??? I remembered that where I usually have my oil changed, Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Yucaipa Blvd. also replaces headlight bulbs. I called them and asked how much. "29.00". Okay, and how much for labor? "Nothing, that is the total cost." WHAT? I drove right over, and when the mechanic opened the hood and unscrewed the cap, he told me that the light was working fine and it was just a loose wire. No charge. Because of their incredible honesty, I would like to highly recommend them. Be careful and know your facts before falling for rip-off mechanics.
